This is set after YJ met TT

As soon as Robin was strong enough to withstand twenty minutes of combat, he had a mission for his team. "Are you sure you're okay to go out again? You're still limping a little," Beast Boy asked. Robin nodded and continued to type on the main computer. His team were nervous about all this. He'd nearly been killed the last time he went out and he was in peak condition. "We can't seriously let him out in the field again, can we?" Beast Boy asked. He and the team, excluding Robin, had gathered in the training room so Robin wouldn't hear them. "He is our leader and we must respect his decision," Raven reasoned. "But, we are his team."

"And as his team we can protect him," Cyborg added. He received agreeing nods. "So what's the plan?"

"If there is any sort of pain from him, we intervene immediately. No matter what he says, we keep him safe." Robin came in a few minutes later with a suspicious look on his face. 

"Did I interrupt something?" he asked.

"No," they all replied nervously. 

"Okay? Well we should set off now. I want to get this over and done with quickly," he said. They nodded and speedily walked past him. He raised an eyebrow at them but let whatever it was slip. He had other things to concentrate on.

The mission went quite smoothly but Robin soon became tired. His actions got sloppier and his reaction times slower. Cyborg was the first to notice. "Rob, you alright?" he asked, bringing attention to him. "Managing. Duck!" Cyborg did so, allowing Robin jumped on his shoulders and knocked out a guard. He rolled forward and groaned as he stood up. "Friend Robin?" Starfire asked as she blasted a man half way across the room. "Star, concentrate on the guy to your left rather than me," he said. She turned and noticed said man. Their fight returned to normal then Robin was cornered. They heard him start to struggle. All it took was a nod from Cyborg and they went into action. Starfire flew over the crowd and grabbed Robin, lifting him to safety. Raven opened a portal for him to be dropped through whilst Cyborg and Beast Boy made minced meat out of the crowd. 

Robin was dropped through the portal and came out a foot away, falling flat on his face. He hadn't comprehended what had just happened. All he knew was he was suddenly safe even if his face hurt. "What the hell just happened?" he asked once his team had cleaned up the trouble. There was more confusion than anger in his voice but they could still hear the latter. "You sounded like you were overwhelmed so we came in to help," Starfire explained. 

"I've been in that position before on missions and you've never done that. Is this because of last week?" he asked. They shuffled nervously. He rubbed his temples and sighed. "I know I got really hurt last time I went out but it was a one time thing. Believe it or not but I can look after myself even if I am hurt." They nodded and looked down in shame. Some guilt passed through him as he looked at the others. "With that in mind however. You did good, working like a team to protect me and all," he congratulated. Starfire grinned at him and hugged him. He grunted in pain a little, causing her to let go and drop him. "Sorry."

"It's fine. Let's just get home, my body feels like it's screaming at me," he joked, flashing them a small smile.
