What is a Kaiju cat?

Well, a Kaiju cat looks like a regular cat. At least, most of the time. There are distinct differences between regular cats and a Kaiju cat. For example, Kaiju cats are big. They are strong, fast and smart. Some are born with powers beyond our imagination.

According to the relics left behind by the ancients, Kaiju cats have been around for eons. At one point, they could be found on just about every corner of the planet, back when the dinosaurs ruled.

But then came the Massive Extinction.

Many species were wiped off the face of the globe. This included the Kaiju cats. Fortunately, a few had survived. But only a few. To ensure their survival before the next big extinction event, they took refuge on islands that were all but a mystery to the rest of the world. There, the Kaiju cats lived and evolved during and after the last Ice Age.

These were the Kaiju cats we now know today.

Based off what history we could salvage, there were several Kaiju cats over the ages. But there seemed to be several families that were mainly focused on. There were legends of one coming from space, another who hailed from the oceans. One seemed to have a thing for fire while another had a thing for reincarnation. Then there was one noble family who seemed ordinary but possessed super strength and intelligence. And that's only five. There are many more out there.
