".... Jungkook?" Your voice barely came out as more than a whisper, cracking and shaky. Your palm rested on the door in front of you as you pressed your forehead to the thin wood, trying to be as close to him as possible.

You heard the soft sobbing on the other end abruptly stop, quiet sniffles muffled by the door between you. There was a quiet squeak of the bed, then deafening silence. You waited for any sign that he was moving, that he was coming to the door, but there was nothing. Not a sniffle, not a creak. Only the sound of your own heart jumping into your throat as you held your breath in a feeble attempt to keep yourself from crying again.

"Please...." you whisper, straining to make your words even remotely audible. I need you.

Although you knew it was only a brief moment, it felt like an eternity as you heard the soft footsteps, each one making you even more anxious until you were barely able to breathe. It was suffocating, and the tears that brimmed your eyes weren't helping any. In a sudden-yet-agonizingly-slow moment, your heart jumped back to life, sending a shiver of nerves and hope through your system as the cold brass door knob began to turn.

You fidgeted in your spot as anticipation clawed at your gut, until finally, the door swung open. As quickly as you processed he was really standing in front of you, he had swept you into his arms, holding you firmly against his chest, yet so gently as if he were cradling a butterfly, being careful not to hurt its wings.

As soon as you were in his arms, the entire world crashed down around you. Every wall you had spent so long to build up crumbled to a pile of dust at your feet as the tears you refused to shed, fell uncontrollably. As you sobbed into his chest, your arms wrapped around his slim waist, you could feel his body shake- he too was crying again.

You weren't sure how long the two of you were just standing there, embracing each other as you let yourselves break, knowing the other was there to put the pieces together again. You weren't sure how long Jimin was awake for, or how long the other boys had been standing there, shocked that you were able to get him out of his room. You weren't sure how long it had been since Jin guided them all away, giving you your much needed space- and you didn't care. All that mattered to you tonight was your mutual need for each other.

Not a word was spoken between you as you let him guide you into his room.

Not a word was spoken between you as he lifted you by your thighs, you arms instinctively moving from around his waist to being looped around his neck.

Not a word was spoken between you as he lay you on his bed, rolling above you to the other side, his arms never moving from your body as he once again pulled you into his chest. His nose nuzzled into the top of your head as your cuddles into the crook of his neck, his scent soothing you. He smelt like a heavenly combination of soap, mint and strawberries, clean and fresh.

There was only silence as you both drifted off to sleep, unspoken relief washing over your bodies in blissful peace.

Sorry i made you guys wait so long for such a short chapter. I know I said I'd update over a week ago, but life's decided it would give me a kiss on the cheek.......... with a chair......... being yeeted across the room at a fatal velocity.
So I've been kinda depressed lately and even trying to write the first paragraph of this made me want to bawl my eyes out. But dw. I'm feeling a little better now and hope to update again soon.
