(Somewhere close to the arena, Kamen Rider Ichigo and Kamen Rider Nigo walk up to Raiden.)

Ichigo: Lord Raiden! What is wrong?

Raiden: Strange visions...

(A crackling of magic emanates from Raiden's amulet. He holds it in his hand. It has cracked in several places.)

Nigo: Your amulet!

Raiden: It is nothing, Kamen Riders. The tournament begins.

(They both turn to witness a procession of Union Students walking towards them. It becomes apparent they are at Union Academy. Cassie Cage watches alongside Nightwing and Aquagirl to the left of them. Pyrrha Nikos is slightly behind them with Jaune Arc, Nora Valkyrie and Lie Ren flanking her.)

(The camera cuts to the headmaster's chair . All Might walks out, flanked by Ruby Rose and Yang Xiao Long. Tsuyu Asui enters as well to the left of them. Ms. Marvel (Kamala Khan) watches cautiously, while Cinder Fall and Ladybug watch them impassively. The Union students finish their walk and sit down before All Might.)

All Might: Kombatants. I am All Might! In the coming days each of you will fight. Some are here of their own volition, others were brought here by chance...

(As Toshinori continues talking, Cassie Cage looks to his right at Ryo Shimizu.)

Cassie: Hey, handsome. Ready to see me caging some Union students?

Ichigo: Cassie, please.

Cassie: Come on, I know you love me, sweetie.

(Nightwing sighs by seeing Cassie Cage flirting with Kamen Rider Ichigo, but then he sees a familiar figure walking out of the arena.)

Nightwing: Slade…

(Nightwing chases after his archenemy Deathstroke. Then All Might is heard resuming his speech.)

All Might: You participate in the most important Mortal Kombat in history! This tournament, the tenth after nine Union victories, will determine the heroverse's fate. If you defeat all of your opponents, you will face one final challenge... me.

Cassie: Huh! That so-called Number One hero is the final challenge? They might as well give me the belt right now. They do have belts, right?

(Someone coughs behind Cage. She turns around to see All Might standing beside her.)

Cassie: What? How did you--

All Might: Appearances can be deceiving.

(He jumps back toward his chair.)

All Might: Our first kombatant will be Ms. Cage!

(Cassie laughs defiantly and strides forward.)

Cassie: That's right! That's right! Who's it gonna be?

All Might: Tsuyu Asui!

(Cage looks toward the rooftop of the arena. Tsuyu is seen making some frog noises and jumps to the arena floor to the Union students' applause.)

Cassie: Nice stunt! Who's your agent?

Tsuyu: I have no agent. Ribbit.

All Might: Begin!

Cassie: As my father would say, it's showtime!

(They fight. Cassie gets her chance to show off her considerable martial skills
against the Frog Heroine. After a fierce exchange, Cassie shows she can back up her trash talking by managing to defeat Tsuyu.)

Cassie: She got Caged! That's it, ha haa! Oh yeah! I'm so pretty!

(Kamen Rider Nigo and Aquagirl watch Cassie's gloating with equal amounts of disgust. Cassie then stalks up to several of the observing kombatants.)

Cassie: And I'm takin' you down, I'm takin' you down, I'm takin' you out, I'm takin' you out, and I'm taking you out...

(She's now in front of Kamen Rider Ichigo.)

Cassie: ...for a date!

Ichigo: Geez…

All Might: Your second challenge, Ms. Cage. Cardin Winchester!

(The leader of Team CRDL roars out loud and jumps to the arena floor to the Union students' applause.)

Cardin: Yeah. YEAH!

Cassie: You must really love to flatter yourself…

Cardin: (draws his Executioner) You're the one to say, daddy's girl.

Cassie: Now you've done it.

(They fight. Even though she's just fought an intense battle with Tsuyu, Cassie shows she still has the stamina to take on Cardin. After another hard fought exchange, Cassie manages to emerge victorious and still has the energy to keep talking.)

Cassie: Man, my mom would be proud of me! My father has got to see this! He coldre work on a RWBY movie and…

Cardin: Ugh… do as you wish…

Cassie: Huh?

Cardin: Are you brain dead? Kill me!

(Queen Bee, Cinder Fall, Emerald Sutrai and Mercury Black Cassie then realizes the gravity of the situation.)

Cassie: Whoa whoa whoa. I will not kill anyone.

(Kamen Rider Ichigo throws a confused look at Raiden, who takes in the scene impassively.)

All Might: Very well.

(He stands up from his chair.)

All Might: The tournament will resume at dawn!

(He turns around and departs. The Union students all rise and start to do the same.)

Cassie: What, that's it? Really?

Ichigo: Well, I gotta admit, you rock, Cassie.

Cassie: (giggles) Thank you, cutie. How about we take a selfie.

(As Cassie was about to take a selfie with Kamen Rider Ichigo, the Teen Titans came in.)

Beast Boy: Uh, sorry for interrupting your moment, Cassie… but did you see someone wearing a black uniform with a blue bird symbol?

Ichigo: I saw him running after someone. He called him Slade.

Cyborg: Damn it. Nightwing is after Slade, and he will get himself killed!

(Meanwhile, Nightwing is seen throwing some birdarangs on Deathstroke, who easily dodges it.)

Deathstroke: Too slow, Grayson. You always were.

Nightwing: I knew I would find you here!

(Then they fight. Nightwing tries to hit Deathstroke, but misses every blow, and then he pants.)

Deathstroke: Already out of breath? Don't tell me you became a slacker. (as Nightwing is about to try again) Save your energy. You'll need it. I just joined this tournament to get your attention. And now that I did it…

(Unbeknownst to them, Cassie Cage is seen hiding behind the bushes.)

Nightwing: What are you planning?

Deathstroke: Seismic generators, Grayson. Three of them are installed at strategic points of this immense academy. In less than three hours, they will trigger an earthquake so magnificent that it will rip... the city.

Nightwing: Not if I can stop!

(As Nightwing tries to attack Deathstroke, Cassie Cage comes in and helps him to take him down.)

Cassie: So this is Slade.

Deathstroke: I can see you brought reinforcements.

Cassie: Rest, kid. Leave it to the professionals.

Deathstroke: (sighs) Kids…

(They fight. Two soldiers have a mighty clash. Deathstroke has experience and enhanced skills, besides weapon mastery. But Cassie shows what she learned from her parents, and defeats the mercenary.)

Cassie: You got caged.

Deathstroke: Daughter of Johnny Cage and Sonya Blade. I did right inviting him here.

Nightwing: Him?

Deathstroke: Batman didn't tell you?

(Then a laser hits Nightwing, and Kano shows up.)

Kano: Cassie Cage. I was hoping your mother would come, but you will serve too.

Cassie: Kano…

Kano: No mommy or daddy to save you, baby.

Cassie: Fans think fighting moves are all wire work and special effects. Truth is... the Fighter IS the special effects.

(They fight. While Cassie has her work cut out for her fighting a brutal thug like Kano, she manages to keep the fight at a level pace and, using a few tricks up her sleeve, leaves Kano on the floor unconscious.)

Cassie: Throw that on your... barby... Shrimp...

(Then Sonya comes in)

Sonya: Good work, Cassie. Just what must be expected from a member of the Special Forces.

Nightwing: (gets up) Special Forces?

(Then Batman comes in)

Batman: (to Sonya) So we meet again, Sonya Blade.

Cassie: (to Sonya) You two know each other?

Sonya: It's a long story. Anyway, my suspicions got confirmed. Deathstroke is working for the Black Dragon lately.

Nightwing: Black Dragon?

Sonya: An organization of mercenaries responsible for various crimes. (looks at Kano) This man down here is their leader Kano.

Nightwing: I see.

(Then Cassie's communicator beeps)

Cassie: Yes?

Jacqui: (over comm) Good news. We found the generators.

Nightwing: (gasps) The generators. Slade installed them… (to Cassie) How did you know that?

Batman: She recorded everything, and sent it to her colleagues Jacqui, Kung Jin and Takeda.

Cassie: It's not exactly a surprise. I mean… you are the world's greatest detective.

Jacqui: (over comm) And another thing, a half man, half machine helped us to deactivate them.

Nightwing: Cyborg… but how did they?

Cassie: I forgot to mention. The titans were looking for you.

(Then Nightwing extends his hand to Cassie.)

Nightwing: Thanks for the help, Cassie Cage.

(Cassie shakes hands with Nightwing.)

Nightwing: But now I need to save someone from those Union bastards.

Batman: I'm coming with you. And I'm not asking permission!

(Nightwing sighs as he and Batman use their grappling hooks and climb a nearby building.)
