Warning: this will probably be bad, because I'm used to writing in 3rd person, not 1st person.

Kanan's POV
I felt her slowly slipping away in the force as her ship floated aimlessly through space.

I hate to admit it, but I was panicking. I couldn't loose her. I can't loose her.

Sabine's cries for help weren't helping my emotions at all.

"I see her Kanan, it's bad. It's bad Kanan, please hurry, you have to hurry!" The teen pleaded.

I tried to calm myself down, closing my eyes and taking a deep breath. Sabine continued to shout.

Finally, when Hera's ship got close enough, I quickly pulled it in.

I used my lightsaber to cut the top off her fighter, and I quickly picked up her limp body and held her in my arms.

My heart dropped seeing her. She was in terrible condition. It hurts to see her like this.

"Hera... Hera... Hera!" I shouted her name hoping she'd wake up, just as a reassurance that she still had a chance. Nothing happened. Tears came to my eyes.

"You'll be ok Hera... Your gonna be okay." I reassured, I was more reassuring myself then her though.

I quickly glanced at Sabine who seemed to be extremely worried. I quickly got up and ran to the medbay on the command ship, holding Hera with the whole Ghost crew following me.

We reached the medbay and I quickly laid her down and I called for a medical droid.

🌟🌟🌟🌟

"Her Vidal signs have stabilized. She is going to make it." The medical droid said. I was so happy... I knew she was strong. Strong enough to overcome this and heal.

Then I remember that Sato had wanted us for a reported. I really didn't want to leave Hera's side, but I knew she'd be ok.
🌟🌟🌟
I was proud. We had just gotten back from concord dawn. I felt like a proud father, and I bet Hera felt like a proud mother, even if she wasn't there.

Sabine left the room and I walked to Hera's bedside. I quickly bent down and gave her a kiss on the forehead.

"I'm glad your ok." I whispered.

"Would you have missed me if I hadn't been?" She asked jokingly.

"I honestly don't know what I would have done if you had died." I whisper, laying my head on her breathing chest, listening to her heart beat.

"Im sure you would have gotten over it. After all, Jedi are trained to let go of attachments." Hera smiled.

"Actually, Jedi are trained not to have attachments in the first place." I corrected.

      "Do you regret it?"

     "Regret what?"

"Breaking the Jedi code for me?" She looked down, well, as much as she could, it's kinda hard to look down when your already laying down.

"For you? Never."  I put my head up and kissed her on the cheek. "Your one of the greatest things that's ever happened to me"

Hera smiled and took out my ponytail, running her finger through my hair.

    "You too."
