"So what are you doing this Christmas?" I ask as I get up to Wendy and Kyle.

"I don't know," Wendy says, shrugging.

"How was defence against the dark arts?" I ask.

"Eh. Kenny's gonna come back soon again," Wendy says.

"Oh yeah, he is in there a lot of times," Kyle says.

Yeah, sure is... he would tell us if something was wrong. I'm just being paranoid.

"Wait," Wendy says.

There is an unmistakable scream coming from the dada classroom.

"Oh shit, Kenny is in," Kyle says.

After a couple of minutes, Kenny gets out. He looks shaken, as if he had a panic attack.

"Oh our little heroes," the dada professor says, smiling at all of us.

"Hello professor," I say.

Is it just me or did his eyes just change their colour?

"Hello Stan," he says.

Kenny comes over to the others and starts talking to them about something. Okay, there is something off here. I don't know what. I don't know why I know something is completely off but I do. And that eye colour thing is giving me that feel as well. What is it? Does he have some magical illness I haven't heard of? Maybe.

"Stan. Is everything okay?" Professor asks.

"Yes professor. I just thought I remembered something but it doesn't really matter, I'm certain it's absolutely nothing," I say.

"You too?" Kyle asks.

Wendy looks rather suspicious, keeping her eyes on the professor.

"Go on then," the professor says, smiling.

"What's wrong?" I ask.

"Excuse me?" The professor asks.

"Professor, I'm fairly certain I can tell a fake smile from a genuine one," I say.

"Don't worry about it," he answers to my concern.

His voice has a venomous undertone.

"Stan," Kyle says.

He grabs my hand and drags me away from the dada professor. Kenny and Wendy both follow afterwards.

"Stan. This might sound genuinely crazy," Kyle says.

He drags us towards the door of the Ravenclaw common room.

"What runs forever but never moves at all, has no lungs nor throat, but still has a mighty roaring call?" It asks.

"A waterfall would most likely be the answer but I could say an alarm clock. As one of those muggle things has the pointy things that sort of run after each other. However, it's clearly meant as a waterfall," Kyle says.

It opens up and he gets us in.

"Why are these kids here?" Craig asks.

"No need to explain, Craig. But be a dear and understand that this is important," Kyle says.

He smiles before running up to the stairs. The rest of us follow and get into his dorm.

"Wow," Kenny lets out.

It's so fucking tidy. I'm certain everyone else could be in a hot mess of a dorm but his is in beautiful order.

"Okay," Kyle says.

He gets out a huge box of newspapers.

"These are not in order but I just realised something," Kyle says.

He gives us all like 30 newspapers.

"Look for missing people, he's in one. A muggle that went missing so near the land closest to Azkaban, mere months after they had one of their first escapes three years ago. It was reported in one of these," Kyle says.

"Maybe it's his squib brother or something? I don't know," I say.

"I thought that too but his eyes changed colour mid talking to us," Kyle says.

"It wasn't mid, we just started talking," I say.

Kyle nods and starts looking through the newspapers. I start as well, until...

"Wait a moment... did I read that right?" Kenny asks.

He goes back.

"'A stolen book of ancient ancient spells was stolen approximately 19 years ago now, as it has been so long, the ministry is no longer investigating this case. However, the fact the general public never heard of the stolen book has enraged many.' Oh fuck, it's the book... isn't it?" Kenny asks.

We all look at each other.

"Oh shit," I finally let out.

"I found it," Wendy says.

She puts the picture of the man in front of us. He does genuinely look alike. The same straight hair and by the description, it's ginger as well. He does look exactly like him but a bit rougher and with a beard and glasses... along with slightly darker skin. If this truly is a try, at least he committed to the look.

"We can go to the ministry. I'm sure they'd take us seriously," Wendy says.

"It's corrupt," Kenny says.

"How do you know that?" Kyle asks.

"Because someone told me that... I genuinely don't remember who," Kenny says.

"I don't understand. If he forgot who it is...," Wendy says.

"Wait a fucking moment," I say.

I take a deep breath.

"Isn't the memory spell a thing?" I ask.

Kenny's eyes light up.

"Hey. You know what we're going to do. If I'm the one forgetting here, you're going to wait for me so I don't go along too many times and ask me constantly if I remember what happened. When I don't, we know whose doing this shit," Kenny says.

"YOU'RE A GENIUS!" Kyle says.

"Do you think we're invited to the wedding?" Wendy whispers to me.

"Of course we are," I whisper back to her.

"Okay, so, we're going to do this when we're back from the Christmas, I need to ask my dad about this missing person and mention that I saw someone that looked like him. We can always get it over with fairly easily if he's not it. If that is the case, I can always say that I was mistaken. Dad doesn't jump into action until he is absolutely sure about everything," Kyle says.

"That's a really good plan," I say.

"Oh so you three are going to marry each other?" Wendy asks.

"First of all, Stan is not apart of our beautiful relationship because he has his beautiful girlfriend to tend to," Kenny says.

"Girlfriend?" Wendy asks.

"They keep saying we're dating," I explain.
