News coverage up to date, as of two weeks and four days at the deaths at the Keller home...

The police arrested four people who were considered possible suspects in the brutal killings of Mr and Mrs. Keller.  They were unsure which one did it, so they planned to question them all.

They questioned the man with the limp first but could find no reason why he did it and let him go.  The homeless lady was sick in the hospital at the time of the murders. The next suspect was the uncle of the girls whose parents were slaughtered.  "I believe there is no way, Lydia had anything to do with this because she adored her parents." The man stated. He told the police he was away on business the day his sister and her husband were killed. His story was looked into and he was in the clear.

The last suspect was a known rapist and repeat serial killer. He was in the area at the time of the killings, and he had no alibi. The police decided to keep him for further interrogation.

The real suspect was shocked the police had not brought her in yet. She knew they had doubted her answers when they questioned her. She did not blame them. She had done a sloppy job. The first death was a freak accident. The second one was the only one she had to do because how else would she keep him from killing her? If not that day, then some other time he would find her and kill her.

She hummed a tune to herself as she woke up. She knew the house had been sealed, but they hadn't ordered her off the property. She wondered if it was a test. She took a shower and changed into some fresh clothes. She ate a muffin for breakfast. She always was a lousy cook. Too bad, mom was dead or she would have asked her to fix it. Ugh, she thought, there is no need to thank that way. It would do no good.  Her mother was dead and so was her father.

She felt like a monster. Maybe she was one. Is that what was wrong with her? Could that explain it all the way?  If only it were that simple. Her sister was afraid of her. She was left alone here in this place while the police searched it. It was rather morbid. Then, again she had always liked horror movies while the others hated that genre. She supposed she would have to continue to act like a doting daughter whose parents meant all to her. So far the act worked wonders for her. The police did not suspect anything and she intended to keep it that way no matter what it took.

The dog barked. Ugh, how she hated that dog. It never had taken to her. Her sister was the one the dog had always run to, but now her sister had left what was she expected to do with the fur ball?  She figured she let the police handle it.

"Why not? They took care of everything else, including overlooking the obvious." She said to herself.

She finished breakfast and shut off the coffee maker. She made sure to clean it of fingerprints. She returned to her room to dwell on a plan.
