"Shivaay, don't get hyped," Om advised him when he shared his doubt with him in the most positive way, he couldn't control his excitement, his brain pointed out the difficulties and the differences they will be facing in the current situation, but his heart was filled with happiness and repeated the same words, He will have a family. 

"What the hell am I watching right now?" Rudy asked them and even pinched himself. Shivaay could relate to Rudy since he knew how he never believed in making babies and building families, he was always the one to scream at Om for his carelessness. But now, things were upside down. 

"I don't think she's aware of it." He said that she never talked about their sexual health to him. Maybe she was shy or didn't have any idea about it. But before he could come to any conclusion, he had to talk with her, if she didn't know anything about it, he had to put that thought in her mind, and he hoped he should see the same happiness on her face as he was right now. 

He didn't pay attention to his friends' discussion who were asking him to think logically, as things happen in his life, and just like that he fell in love with the most unexpected person in his life, anything may happen and make his life happier. Just like that, his meeting with the investor was a success, but he couldn't enjoy it with his friends, he rushed to meet his wife and take her for dinner. 

He parked the car outside their Apartment and called his wife, he couldn't control the smile on his face thinking about the happened, he had imagined enough scenarios in his mind, the first few, shivaay breaking the news to her, and the last few, she's breaking the news to him, he mentally confirmed her pregnancy, even though there was a voice asking him to slow down, he couldn't do that. She didn't attend his call but walked out to the road, wearing a knee-length dress and a jacket that covered her palms, only fingers were visible in her outfit, she tied her hair to a messy braid, to define her signature look, and she just wore a minimal makeup along with a pink nude lipstick. But her smile defined her, she waved at him and he disconnected the call. He knew that was not an appropriate outfit for a date but she looked unconditionally hot to him. 

"Am I late? Sorry!" He said as soon as she opened the car door and sat inside next to him. 

"You're not late, In fact, early, just minus 10 minutes." She looked at the time, calculating his late minutes in minus, and chuckled while throwing her arms around him. 

"It's okay, Shivaay. I am that cringe to fight with you for this silly mistake." She said and kissed his cheek, while he was enjoying the welcome comfort, he just held her tight. 

"Hey, how was the meeting?" She asked him. 

"Guess it?" He asked her. She smiled at him again and pecked his lips, but he held her face tight and gave her a quick kiss. And he started his way towards their nearest McDonald's. He still doesn't know why she waited for him to take her over there, they could buy it through the drive-in also. 

"Anu, why did you wait for me? I mean it's just Mc-D, you could have visited anytime." He asked her when she chose the song connecting her phone to the car. 

"It's just habit, when I was in India, papa used to take me to Mc-D every weekend, and we used to have a lot of fun, It's just I don't like going there alone, It's not about the food, it was my happy place, I waited for you because I wanted to experience it with you," Anika said to him with a smile, he wasn't that dumb to crack the hidden message from her words, she was missing her family. 

"Missing your family?" He asked her. 

"I just had a face-to-face video call with them," Anika said with a smile. That smile didn't reach her eyes. Soon they reached the place. He parked the car in the parking lot and walked in along with her, it was the rush that he expected, full of families and kids, but he ordered her favorite, Cheese Burger meal with chicken nuggets, he ordered the same for himself even though he wasn't that fond with burgers, it didn't take time for their order to arrive, and soon she started to munching the burgers. 

"Can I ask you something?" He asked her when he felt it was time to ask her. 

"What?" She asked him back. He tried to frame the questions in his head, but out of a sudden, he started to feel very tense. And fed up with his thoughts and decided to ask her straight. 

"When is your date?" He asked her and recalled what he had just asked when she looked at him blankly. 

"Which date?" She asked back casually. 

"I mean..." He shrugged off his unwanted tension, "Okay, Ani. We are husband and wife, right?" He asked when she looked at him in a confused way. 

"Yes, we are" She chuckled "What a realization?"  

"No, what I am trying to say was you don't have to feel hesitated to share anything with me?" He tried but she continued to eat. 

"You already knew everything about me!" She replied. For a while, he felt helpless. He just held her left palm and held it tight.

"You know right, you don't have to feel shy with me?" He asked her.

For a while, she couldn't understand anything. The way he smiles unusually and his sudden questioning session were more confusing to her. She wasn't hesitant to share anything with him, but he looked too uncomfortable to ask her. 

"I am not being shy here, but you're." She said to him directly. 

"Okay, Let me tell you directly." He said and heaved out a deep breath. 

"Today, Om got a call from Gauri, she said her dates got skipped." He said directly to her, she could understand what the issue was, what was most fascinating was, om shared it with him probably with his other friend too, Do guys shares everything with their friends?

"Then, what happened?" Anika asked him. 

"Gauri tested negative," Shivaay said. 

"So, your friends don't want kids?" She asked him. There was a smile on his face like he achieved something. 

"No, it was nothing like that, they are interested in getting married too, but gauri's mother was not interested in this issue." He said. 

"Oh..." 

"So, everything is okay with you, I guess your dates would have been skipped too," He said and took a huge sip of Pepsi. Anika could see the tension on his face that initiated the smile on her face, she chuckled loudly. 

"Do you think I am pregnant?" She asked him, but he remained silent. 

"Shivaay, you're saved! I am not pregnant, my periods are getting delayed due to my PCOD issue, nothing else." She said casually to him. 

"PCOD?" He asked her. 

"Yes, I have PCOD, I am taking medicines for it. In PCOD case, it's not that easy to get pregnant, so you're saved!" She replied, he knew he must be in distress and she was aware of his situation and at that particular time, they are not financially good to take care of their kids. He went silent after hearing that news.

"What happened? Any problem?" She asked. 

"No, It's just. I was tense, It has been just one month, right? I was afraid." He replied. 

"So you don't want kids?" She asked. 

"It's not like that, Now I am not ready." He replied and kept his reply short. 

"Any plans for the future?" She asked.

"You're forgetting, you're too young to think about kids." He replied with a smile. 

"But you are not that young to think about kids." She replied with a chuckle. 

"Stop commenting about my age and eat, you already knew about my ability." He replied with a chuckle.

It has been six days since shivaay couldn't come out of the disappointment, it was not because Anika hid her health condition from him, it was because of him, he overthought about that and now he was suffering alone, neither he could share it with anyone nor let it go. He even researched PCOD, Its was a condition that most of the woman was facing, but it doesn't mean they couldn't get conceived, they could with lifestyle change and certain fertility treatments. But he couldn't understand the fact, why he couldn't let it go, they got married just one month, and now, he desperately wanted to start a family with her, it was his long-time fear to become a father since he didn't have a good equation with his father. But now, everything going upside down. He couldn't sleep, and then, he felt her arm around him and she crawled to his chest. He opened his eyes with a smile. 

Even though he couldn't see her face in the darkness, he felt peace in his heart. And of a sudden, his mind started to think in contrary, if he tells about his wish to her, he would be the first person to push her the stress, in these 30 days, the one thing he understood about her, she loves him more than he could ever think if that was not true, who will agree to leave her pampering parents and comfortable lifestyle in India and decided to go with him to a different country and struggle with him. Also, she never complained about it and on the other hand, he got addicted to her. He just got his dream life most unexpectedly and easily. 

"Nothing is more important to me than you, baby!" He whispered and hugged her tight to his chest. Soon she snuggled more, and turned around while cocooning herself on the other side, she was completely disturbed, he could feel that. Soon he heard silent sobs from her. He quickly got up from the bed and turned on the lights. 

"Baby!" He called her and arrived at her side. She didn't wake up, but tears crossed her eyes, breaking his heart. 

"Mumma..." She whispered. He didn't know what to do, it was his first time experiencing that kind of situation. She might get a nightmare. 

"Baby! Wake up..." He caressed her hair and held her cheeks gently. She opened her eyes and her eyes filled with tears. 

"What happened?" He asked her, but she squirmed holding her stomach. 

"My stomach... It's too aching." She said with sobs. 

"I got my... periods... last night." She added and took the words one after the other. After she told them about her condition, he had done enough research about it, there he understood they will have very painful periods. He couldn't stop himself from kissing her forehead when she crawled to his lap and tightly held his palm which was holding her shoulder. 

"Can I get you anything? Like hot bag?" He asked her. She nodded and let him go away from her. Shivaay quickly took the hot bag while searching for the best home remedies for pain reduction. He adjusted the bed and placed the hot water bag on her stomach which was slightly bludged than usual. She tried to stretch her but couldn't. 

"Do you have any medicines for pain reduction?" He asked her while keeping her toes on the pillow. 

"It's there, in my bag!" She said, he picked it out and gave her. But her hands moved towards her waist and she pressed herself. Once she had the medicine, she nodded yes to him. 

"I will get fine, you sleep." She said to him. 

"No, I can't take chances." He said and moved next to her. Soon he shifted her in his chest and massaged her back. She didn't say anything but continued to feel comfortable, when she was about it go to sleep, she opened her eyes with a jerk. 

"Shivaay, you go to sleep. You said there's a meeting." Anika told, she was right, but he can't take any chances with her health. 

"Om and Rudru will take care of it, I will stay with you." He said with determination. 

"But Shivaay." She tried to protest. 

"Anika..." He said and she stopped protesting. Soon she fell into peaceful sleep but he remained awake looking at her. More than anything, her tears scared him a lot. And he realized, not only her but also started to love her unconditionally.
