Om - if only rithika hadn't slipped that time, we'd have won the relay also .

Annika who was seriously reading something , just gave a nod on hearing him .

Veer - stop giving reasons Om. Try swallowing the truth , red house won the relay trophy !

Veer giggled sharing an high five with shivaay .

S- exactly , Veer and I got more chemistry in relay , much more than the content present in this chemistry book you got too.

Annika glared at him when he pushed the book down. And just ahead was the lamppost from her that instant , she would have definitely banged on it if she hadn't seen it now . She slowly looked towards him after noticing it . Shivaay was in a serious argument with Om and didn't see her . Veer picked the book and gave it to annika .

V - how many times to tell you ? Stop reading while on road .

A- got a test at tuition , organic chemistry . You forgot ?

V - I'll sit behind you , help me.

A- no way .

Om- as if !! Shivaay don't forget . Green house owns victory in march past .

S- I'm talking about running,and you are talking about walking !

A- excuse me , marching is not that simple. Practise is mandatory , that's why I couldn't complete my revise yet . I was practicing throughout this week . Atleast now give me some peace .

Annika intervened and stated this clearly while shivaay and veer narrowed their eyes .

V - she's jealous .

Annika rolled her eyes and shook her head while focusing completely on the book .

S- you're right.

A- stop disturbing me now . Your hostel is that side , you can leave . And you , shut your mouth and walk .

Mentioning this she pulled veer's wrist and walked towards the pedestrian cross .Veer turned back and waved his hand for shivaay reciprocated the same immediately with a grin, only to get shocked on noticing something soon .

A huge tanker truck seemed totally out of control rushing towards the signal even with light red beaming on against it . Annika who was reading keenly didn't see this coming .

S- annika !!

He screamed and jumped on the road but Om caught him from behind fearing he might get hit . The truck's motion looked dangerous .

Om- shivaay what are you doing ?

She was going to look back at him on hearing his scream but a sudden push from behind threw her to the other side . Her brother saved her at the right moment to soon loose grip of his legs due to a sudden ankle twist . He fell down, a loud scream was heard .

Bones and flesh cracked and crushed, noise hit straight into her ears that second. A puddle of blood covered the spot and reached upto her . She noticed her knee getting wet with that blood and slowly took her eyes to the spot where the stream started .

Her cheek felt so wet and soaked, she traced it and brought her palm infront to witness the red liquid again . His arm was bleeding against the pressure she was putting on him . Annika jumped back from his lap and spaced herself from him with a sudden jolt .

A- you you're bleeding .

He winced quietly and took a look at his arm , the white dressing band had turned red .

S- can you help ?

She looked at him for a second , and then gave a nod before fetching the kit .

S- sss !

Annika slowed down and tried to be smooth and delicate while she peeled off the band .

A- remove your shirt .

S- hmm ?

A- stitches needed.

S- ok

He muttered in a very quite tone and removed the shirt with her help .

S- ahh!

He groaned in pain as she inserted the suture needle in and out of his skin . She stopped when he whined crushing the edge of her tops within his fists . It wasn't intentional though . Annika stared at his hand quietly , while he slowly opened his eyes on not feeling the piercing anymore . She hit his hand and pushed it away as soon as she saw him realizing and noticing his grip.

S- sorry , sss

A- wound has come to stage 1 again , it won't heal soon if this keeps happening .

S- I didn't pull you .

A- you should've stopped me .

S- I didn't want to .

She dragged her eyes from his arm to his eyes as soon as she heard him say this . He on the other side watched straight into her eyes for a second and crushed them the next moment when she pressed the cotton over the wound .

A- be careful.

She dressed it around neatly once again , and stepped down the bed to leave but he caught her hand immediately. Annika looked back at him with an intimidated face while he fetched a wet tissue from the drawyer before standing up.

Guessing it right , she slowly turned her face to show him her right cheek which was covered with blood . Shivaay whose sight was just fixed down , failed to notice all this . He made her hold those tissues and walked past her taking his shirt .

S- we'll get through this annika . Take care .

Her tears rolled down and fell over the tissues on which her sight remained fixed .

R - this is impossible!

Om - I'm terrified as you are , how can this ...

Om shook his head watching the content running on the screen .

R - if he died like you said , how come

Rudra stopped in the middle when shivaay entered the room .

Om - you're ok ?

He questioned after noticing those red patches over his shirt . Shivaay gave a nod .

And soon they saw annika entering in . She seemed too weak and fragile to even move . She made slow steps towards the boys.

A- I'm ok

She sniffed mentioned this looking Om and then Rudra who both clearly remained worried still . Rudra pulled out a chair immediately.

R- please sit .

Annika shook her head slowly and traversed her eyes from the laptop to Om and Rudra .

A- so ?

Om - he can't be veer .

Shivaay and annika watched him parallely with the same shock in their faces .

R- he's right , if he is your veer I mean your brother , he wouldn't look like a kid still .

Om- he seems half our age , can't you see it ?

At once the other two focused on the screen to notice everything. They both were taken aback by this , he looked exactly like veer . Veer from a dozen years back though . They were too late to realize this because , the screen showed veer who they knew from the past . Veer whose face they actually remember. The shock and horror made them too numb to even think of this fact.

A- bu but

Om- annika I know he looks like our veer but he is not .

S- only one person can answer all our questions , Mr. Tej Trivedi .

Annika kept thinking quietly .

Om - yes , he is the founder of the hospital. So there's no way he'd be unaware of these things happening under his eyes.

Rudra noticed annika's pale face and worried for her .

R- don't worry , we'll find this founder and smash him hard . Everything will be alright .

Annika couldn't take all this right at once ,she was in need of some air and she took the chance. Without saying anything back she straightly walked out and stood by the window , staring outside.

Om let a huge sigh watching Rudra's sad pout .

Om - smash haan ? Why would you say that ?

R- I just wanted to make her feel better .

Om - I don't think any girl would feel better knowing their father is gonna be smashed.

Rudra's mouth went wide open.

R- why am I the last one to know all these important details everytime!

He whined .

Om - because you forget to use your brain sometimes, annika is Annika Trivedi,remember?

R- sss , how did I forget this ?

He knocked his own head and made a continuous nod .

R- angel's family is too mysterious.

Rudra muttered to himself .

S- we're going in .

His sudden announcement caught everyone's attention .

A- it can be dangerous.

S- this bullet would have hit my heart if I had taken a step right that day . Trust me I've seen worse .

A- it's too risky, we , I mean I'll go talk to him .

S- you really think he'd spill the beans if you go in private? I want to know what your father has been cooking in his lab store all these days .

Om- you think it's possible ?

R- we aren't sure of the security system inside the place , we'll be down before we even realize we are .

S- we don't know the place but we do know someone who could help .

The three of them simultaneously looked at annika who took a moment to say anything.

A- I'll bring her .

Saying that she picked her bag and started leaving , while shivaay immediately fetched a key and threw it to Rudra .

R- I can drop you .

A- it's ok

She didn't mind and walked past him , shivaay rose his brows and scowled hard at Rudra who gulped in with a scared reaction on his face .

R- consider me as a cab driver please.

He insisted blocking her way out and she agreed with no other choice.

Next day

Sh - Dr Vrushali has been discharged , she has fully recovered actually. She was getting late for her train so she asked me to convey this message to you. She left to her hometown to meet her granny .

Annika passed a silent nod after listening to this . That's when the landline started ringing, she attended the call .

R- hello , everything is ready . You can come .

A- ok , what's the count ?

R- got three pistols , and a revolver .

A- 8 people ?!! I already sent the ambulance.

R-no we got a white innova standing near the second gate.

A- ok near the east road right ? Fine.

R- all the best .

A- I'm coming.

She hung up quickly and prepared to leave . Sharon looked confused .

The boys who were watching all this through Sharon's glasses enjoyed annika's acting .

Sh- what happened Doctor ?

A- nothing there's been an accident at the construction site in east road . I sent the sources but some are struck beneath , they need immediate medical help. Can't wait till they're rescued it seems .

Annika made her worries look real , sharon easily bought them .

Sh- I'll join you .

A - you're sure ?

Sh- the others are assigned to OT job anyways , I'm available . I can come .

A- ok .

R - whoa ! You see that , she's perfect in everything .

Om nodded with a smile when he exclaimed while Shivaay who hardly saw the screen , patted Rudra's shoulder and asked him to get ready .

S- enough now , pack up . Om start the engine , Rudra jump behind .

A- grabbed the IV supplies?

Sh - yes Doctor.

Annika noticed the white innova approaching the way and she put her arm straight to stop it .

Sh - ambulance ?

A- 5 are already there , we can't take every other bus to the same spot . Come cab is enough .

Sh - oh yes .

Gripping the case tight , she stepped in the car for annika climbed in after her . The engine accelerated at once with much speed to vanish off from that place .

Sh- I don't know the exact location , where exactly in east road Doctor ?

Annika stared at her silently, sharon frowned remaining clueless of her reaction .

Sh - Dr. Tri

The gun click noise from straight behind her head brought chills right on her skin . She watched annika with the same thrilled face, annika slowly looked out through the window without saying anything.

Sh - Dr , Dr. Annika , who are

S- don't move .

Sh- ok ok please ....please .

She shrunk herself raising her hands up when he pressed the point on her head .

S- don't open your mouth unless you got an answer for my question , am I clear ?

Sharon gulped nodding her head continuously, she kept watching annika and plead through her eyes .

A- even I didn't want this , but you forced me sharon .

Sharon had tears as she heard it from annika . She was scared to death .

S- what's happening down there ? Beneath the parking area ?

She shook her head to that and he loaded it and pointed the pistol right on the centre of her head .

Sh - please !!

She whimpered hard and kept shaking her head . Rudra immediately brought the laptop to her sight and played the recorded video. Sharon was shocked on seeing that .

R- surprise surprise! we just caught your not so simple hideout. So listen to my advice and speak out the truth .

S- now ! I want to know everything about that place .

Sh - I don't know !

A- sharon don't make this difficult , tell me the truth . What are you doing inside there ?

Sh- I really don't know what exactly is going on there . I take orders and I work , that's all I know ! Please ...don't shoot me !!

She cried.

A- Mr.Trivedi is the one who gives orders , am I right?

Sharon nodded slowly before opening her mouth to speak .

Sh - my work is to note the findings .

R- elaborate.

Sh- heart rate , metabolism, pupil dilation , sleeping hours , blood level , tissue growth, scan results, hair growth , weight, height , intake , number of sachets. Everyday.

R- sachets ?

Sh- yes size big sachets.

R - that's for ?

Sharon was annoyed by his continuous questions .

Sh - urine and other outlets!

She shouted this at the end for Rudra blinked out of a sudden .

S- you measure all this for what ?

Sh - I don't know .

He pressed the point more such that she started to feel the pressure pain of it already .

Sh- no , Dr I promise , I don't know for what he collects all these . Please believe me !

A- how to enter that place , code ?

Sh- thumbprint or voice .

By then , they reached shivaay's place . Rudra dragged her inside the house while she kept resisting .

She was made to sit on the chair, Rudra tied her hands to it .

S- look , I want you to talk . What's the armour you people wear inside for ? Who are the others present in there ? Any weapons? When is that the place remains nil of people ?

Sh- I don't know who they are , we really don't know each other . We all report to Dr. Trivedi directly . There are no checkpoints within us .

R - wow I'm impressed with their sleeper cells system .

S- weapons and armour ?

Sh- to avoid radiation , armour is used .

Om - what kind of radiation ?

Sh - Gamma, UV , whatever needed .

R- what exactly are you people doing in there with all these dangerous things?

She shook her head innocently when he asked this , he was irritated .

S- what about weapons ?

Sh- machine guns, pistols , much bigger than these .

She answered eyeing the gun which he was holding .

R - did did you just threaten us ?

Sh - no I I didn't mean to , I just , please don't take me wrong . I

Om - what about the people, do they stay there everytime? Like all the time ?

Sh - kind of but I've seen an empty lab during noon .

S- why did you go there if it was meant to be empty, look don't you dare try to fool us ok!

Sh- no no I'm saying the truth, I saw it empty that day . I was in urgent need of money , I couldn't find the dean at the hospital so I slipped down to check for him but there was none.

A- so you people do this for ...

Sh - money

Annika gave her a tight slap immediately.

A- shame on you Sharon !

Screaming out at her , she walked out soon .

S- disconnect the landline .

Shivaay picked her bag and all he things. Sharon was thrilled .

Sh- please don't, I told you everything . Dr . Annika !! Please , don't leave me here . I beg y

Rudra put a tape to her mouth and shut the noise . She kept wriggling throughout . The boys walked out of the room and Om locked it.

Om - we never asked about vrushali .

S- you heard her routine Om , she can't know .

Om- you believe her ?

S- I guess I do , she seems much scared to me . See it's simple , he keeps them under his radar and pulls out every manual work . He literally got their eyes tied under the roof , so maybe she knows nothing about vrushali ... even preetha's matter .

Om - but we just can't go in , we need back up .

R- the place is clear at noon though.

Om- she's not the goddess of truth Rudra, what if it's a trap ?

A- he's right . Inform the department and get back up before going in.

S- whatever we have is no huge evidence to bring down such a big shot like your father . He's very much in touch with most of politicians . On the other side , he does have much of a resource in our department too . Any detail referred about him , he'll be the first one to know .

R-I agree, our department is one big garbage for itself , then what ?

S- our only evidence is breathing inside that place.

Annika frowned at once when he said this , she pulled him in force such that he faces her .

A- don't you dare have him at stake !

She warned .

S- I mean no harm for him. I just need to seize everything and get a hold of Mr.Trivedi . Caught , red handed.

Annika kept watching him with the same reaction while he turned away quickly.

Om - but still , you really think the place might be clear at noon ?

S- no but I've got an idea for that . It's 11 am already , let's keep going. Om , Rudra you both are with me . Annika stay here with sharon.

A- not gonna happen.

R - he is right , actually we don't know if it's safe inside there .

A- I want to come .

Om - we can't take this risk .

A- what? I can handle myslef as good as you can do for yourself. Only thing which makes me odd one out is a pistol , well, that's not gonna stop me though .

On hearing her stern answer , Om and Rudra looked at shivaay with a defeated face . Shivaay shrugged shaking his head , he knew how stubborn she could act and didn't want to debate on that , wasting time.

S- let's go and check it out then .
