Lancer, Martha, and Susie were all lost in these supposed to be familiar halls. They didn't know where Kris or Ralsei where, and they sure as hell didn't know if they were fine or if they turned. Lancer was using the last bit of his phone battery listening to 7 rings and Guns and Ships; Susie was grimacing listening to Lancer belt out lyrics in a high-pitch voice; Martha was singing along with him like the cliché couple that they were.

"Which one next? Rap God or Micheal in the Bathroom?"

"Oh, we need to try Rap God," Martha answered quickly. "We still have, like, 50% of the words to figure out!"

 "Rap God it is then!"

Susie was still thinking back to Noelle's death, but she knew that Noelle wouldn't just want her to stand around doing nothing. She knew Noelle would want her to get revenge on Jevil, maybe blow his brains out with his own gun? Or shove him into a hoard of zombies!

"Hey, guys?" Martha said. "I don't think they're down here, maybe we should turn around?"

Susie gave a silent nod, and they all turned around and walked back. Susie looked around the empty halls, just a few days ago she was here wishing she was dead. Now, all she wanted to do was to live.

   Grrrrrraaaaaaaarrr.

"Everyone freeze!" Susie snapped. They all froze; Lancer took out his earbuds and listened. They heard distinct groaning echoing around the school, but that was impossible because the zombies were still in the cafeteria. At least that's what they thought.

"Is it the hoard?" Lancer asked in fear.

"We're not taking any chances!" Susie took out her axe silently. "Everyone get ready!"

Lancer took out his mannequin leg and Martha took out her tennis racket, all of them prepared themselves for an attack. The first ones were the runners, that turned around the bend and ran straight for Susie. Lancer and Martha defended her without a second thought, knocking them right to the ground.

"How'd they get out?" Martha asked.

"It doesn't matter! We gotta get inside a class and fast!"

They attempted doors, but each one they came across was jammed or locked. After the runners came, the walkers soon followed. There were just so many that they just couldn't defeat them. They had to run.

"YOU GUYS GO! I CAN HOLD YOU OFF!" Susie ordered. "GO!"

But Lancer was having none of it, so he stood in place and got out his mannequin leg.

"You two go, I got this!" Lancer hit one of them in the neck, then another in the gut. He slapped the zombie's dead each time he hit them. Susie knew that Lancer wasn't going to give up, so instead of stopping him, she helped get rid of some.

"Susie, you don't have to stay and help!"

"I'm not leaving you, Lancer!" Susie continued slicing and dicing the zombies into mincemeat. "We're a team, we stick together!"

Martha joined in too, hitting a zombie's head like a tennis ball.

 "Forever!" Martha added.

And so they continued, Lancer would beat zombies senseless while the others would attack walkers that came too close. Martha kneeled onto the ground and looked up at an incoming zombie.

"You wanna play, huh?" Martha got back up and cracked her neck, ready for her real power to shine. "Let's play then!"

She did a pirouette and hit the zombie's head clean off, making a big blood splatter on the ceiling. The head was played like a serve; Martha raised her racket, and her arm as a guide, and then she hit. It was a perfect shot that smacked right into another walker's head, making it come clean off too.

"15 LOVE!" Martha cheered. Lancer kicked another's shin, looking down at the poor zombie, about to die. He leaped into the air and slammed the leg on top of the head, sending an epic pool of blood up into the air.

 "Guys, it's time we go!"

They all agreed and got ready to run away. When Lancer felt an arm grab his. He turned around, to be met with the face of a zombie reaching forward to bite him. Lancer was prepared, though, and got ready to break it open.

But something in his body slightly froze in panic, and he just couldn't force himself to do it. Before he knew what happened, the zombie retracted and was walking toward the other two. Lancer didn't even feel anything right away and only felt pure panic.

Yet, when he touched his neck he felt something liquidy and sticky. The feeling finally registered and he knew...he had just been bitten.

"NO! LANCER!" Martha screamed. She ran toward the zombies and attacked them with full force. She was devastated when she saw the walker bit her boyfriend. It was something she never felt.

"MARTHA, YOU GOTTA RUN OR THEY'LL BITE YOU TOO!"

"I'm not leaving you! I can't live without you!" Martha cried; She struck a zombie in the stomach and looked back at Lancer. "I'm not letting you die without vengeance! I don't care what it takes!"

Just like Lancer, she didn't feel the bite right away. It wasn't until Lancer widened his eyes that she knew. That both of them were bitten.

They looked at each other with grief. They had tried so hard to protect one another and their efforts failed. They were both bitten and there was nothing they could do!

Susie stared in shock and stood still. She couldn't move and she couldn't do anything. First, it was Noelle, then Martha and Lancer were just gone! In the time of a few seconds, two more of her friends were gone!

"We need to protect her!" Martha said through tears. "We can't let her get bit!"

So they both got up and began taking zombies out one by one. Susie and Lancer's eyes met, both with tears. Laner sighed, and his voice changed from high-pitch to a much more deeper one.

"Go," he called. Susie didn't take another second to follow that advice. The zombies followed after her, but the efforts the two made were enough to get Susie far from them.

And as fast as the walkers had come, they were now alone.
