* Sorry for not updating soon. I donot think this chapter would be suitable for children below the age of 15.

Lakshman continued his day without any emotion just as he had for  the last six months. Ram was never a talkative person as Lakshman but his silence was too much for Lakshman to bear. Any one could see that he pined for his love. He had sent her for the greater good. No one could tell whose pain was greater, Ram's or Sita's.

Urmila's life was filled with melancholy. Ma Kaikeyi had comforted her to her best. At last, she said " Lakshman is already suffering with guilt. I cannot see him like this. He too lost his sister that day. You too are devasted due to seperation from Sita. He needs your comfort and you need his. The more you distance yourself from him, the more pain you feel "

As usual Lakshman waited for her the next day outside Ma Sumitra's chambers. He did not expect more than a formal greeting. Urmila looked up at him and beckoned him towards the gardens. They both looked ahead unable to meet eyes. " You wanted to tell me something?" he asked hesitantly. Urmila did not answer. Her eyes met his. She knew it was lost. The wall she had built around herself crumbled down. He instinctively pulled her into a hug. She hugged him back. " I missed you,Mila" he whispered. She inhaled his familar scent that she longed for every day. " I donot expect you to forgive me. But please don't leave me like this. I keep hurting you all the time.." he blabbered.

" Shh..." She said softly.

" No, let me speak, I am really sor.."  His words were cut off by her lips. He grabbed her close kissing her.

" I missed you too" said Urmila softly." I know it's not your fault. But she is my sister. Ma Kaushalya told Hanuman is helping Sita didi in disguise. Even Ram Jija does not know that. I hope she is doing well. I just wish  I could meet her."

" I am sorry. It is my fault." Lakshman said.

" Stop saying that. You should get to the court now. Come back soon." said Urmila pulling away.

" You will come back to our chambers?" he smiled.

" I thought the kiss said it all" she said walking back to the palace. Lakshman grinned for the first time in months. Though he was feeling happy there was guilt at  the back of his mind. He would have it forever.

It was evening by the time he got back. Ram had let him off early for he knew Lakshman and Urmila and reconciled. Urmila was sitting on the swing reading a book. Lakshman felt happiness and love bursting inside him as he saw his wife. He did not want to make his presence be seen.  He crept up behind her and whispered in her ears " What are you reading"

Urmila jumped." Don't scare me like that" she said loudly.

Lakshman pushed the large swing. " How was the day?" She asked.

Lakshman jumped on the swing next to her. " It was the best"

She moved closer taking his hand. " For me too" She shivered slightly.

He took off his angavastram and put it around her.

" Do you remember the last time you did that?" she said looking at him.

" Yes. And you know what else I wanted to do then?" he smiled leaning closer. He rained kisses all over her face and then settled on her lips. She sighed contentedly as their lips continued their slow rhythm. His hands released her tied hair, cupping her face. They both broke apart, their lungs aching for air.

They sat in silence, holding hands. He stopped the swing and carried Urmila inside. She took him in her arms on the bed, his head on her soft bossom as she ran her fingers through his curly locks. " I love you" she breathed.

" I love you too" said Lakshman drifting off to a dreamless, deep sleep.

Days passed by very quickly and soon it was the wedding aniversary of Royal couples. Ram made a short appearance for the court. He remained in his chambers most of the time. Lakshman helped his brother as much as he could but no joy and no one could fill the hole in his heart since the day his Sita was sent way. " You need to be with Urmila, Lakshman!" Ram had said when Lakshman offered to go on a horse ride with Ram.

Bharat and Shatrughan too had tried their best to lift up his spirits but had failed. They went back dejected. They could not see their brother suffer so. It was almost dark.Urmila was waiting for him with her gift. " How is Ram jija?" She asked softly.

" He misses bhabi" Lakshman shrugged.

" Are you tired?" She asked as she dropped her jewels on the dresser.

"Not at all" He whispered putting his arms around her waist and pulling her closer." Why?" he asked knowing the answer.

" We are going out" She said pulling on her riding clothes. Lakshman did not expect this." Where are we going?"

" Somewhere . Secret." She smiled

" I love secrets" Lakshman followed her.

" Your anklets are making a loud sound" he whispered. He suddenly lifted her up." To the stables?"

Soon two dark shadows on horses could be seen racing through the lonely streets of Ayodhya. Urmila finaly came to hault. She pulled Lakshman with her as she went  through the forest. There was a small clearing in the middle, a small lake glittering in the moonlight. Trees surrounded it, their branches bending over the lake. It's water was still, unfazed. Grass grew around the lake like a soft blanket. It was beautiful.  Urmila looked radiant in the moonlight. She  kissed him pulling him closer to the lake. " Let's have a swim?"

She did not wait for his answer. She started undressing. " No, Mila" He said putting her angavastram back on her shoulders." Any one can come"

" They won't. Do you trust me on this?" she said removing his angavastram, kissing him again with passion. " Yes" He gasped.

They dropped their clothes on the grass as they entered the lake. " It is very cold" He muttered.

" You will get used to it" She said splashing water on him. They raced across the lake swimming, pulling each other under the water. " I swim faster than you" decided Lakshaman flexing his arms.

" Unfortunately that is true" She said floating on the water slowly beating her legs.

He pulled her up for a kiss. Urmila stumbled into his arms. He pulled her close as he could. The cold water bothered him no more. The night was still young. They caressed, kissed, made love. Soon Urmila was asleep next to him. He knew they had to wake up early and get back before the family came to know about their small trip.  Lakshman had never felt more alive and contented. It was perhaps then that Angada was conceived.

*Angada and Chandraketu are Lakshman and Urmila's children.

*Hope you liked it. I would love it  if some one points out my mistakes. Thank you for reading so far*
