It's been a long, harsh, depressing week since the attack of the female titan. Cadets had it rough losing loved ones, and friends.

You, as squad leader had it worse. having great, loyal cadets under your guidance and losing them to a traitor, a shifter, the female Titan.

Flash Back~
While entering the wall once more
(Y/N) noticed the sparkle in the children's eyes

"I want to be in the Survey Corps"
Or
"Oh look how cool squad leadersand Humanity's strongest "

But other than the excited children there were elders,parents, family members prying, hoping, wishing that their loved ones have returned.

"Excuse me Squad Leader (Y/N)" a small middle aged woman appeared in front of your horse

"Is Ashley with you (Ashley is a cadet sorry if that's your name change it) where is she, please tell me she's okay" the woman begged searching for her daughter

"I'm very sorry, Ashley was a great soldier along with the others who have fallen. I grant you my deepest apologies" you lowered your head pulling out her necklace with a dove on it.

You looked forward making eye contact with Levi. He gave a nod and faced forward once again

You knew Levi was a person who gave plenty of respect to the fallen, deep inside you also knew he was mourning the lost of his squad as well

Just watching people, innocent lives who risk themselves for the sake of humanity shakes you both to the core.

'Why, why them why not me'
Levi would constantly think to himself

'I promise you, I promise you all that with every bone, all the sweat, and tears I will avenge your families'
Flash back over~

Currently you were in the mess hall sitting across Hanji, Mike and Erwin

"Where's Levi he hasn't seem to have eaten in days, is he okay" you asked

"I don't really know (Y/N) he's been in his office and hasn't come out since the expedition" Erwin replied

"Okay well I'm going to take him dinner" you grabbed the warm bowl of potato soup and a loaf of bread

Walking down the hall, continuously being saluted by the new recruits you slowly made your way to Levi's room

You gently knocked

"Name and Business"

"Squad leader (Y/N) I brought you dinner" you replied opening the door without his permission

"Tch can't you wait till I said come in"

Placing the bowl on his large wooden desk you turned to see him analyzing your movements

His raven tresses were everywhere, deep gray eyes were red and puffy, with bags under his eyes, showing that his insomnia has gotten out of hand.

Looking around there was signs he was ridding his pain through alcohol

"Levi are you okay" you asked worried
written all over your face

"Tch if you're here to pity me get your fucking ass out"

"It's not like that, just look at yourself Levi"

He turned slightly so you couldn't see his features

"Where's the badass, humanity's strongest, stoic little guy who make make cadets run laps for the simplest things, the Levi whis obsessed with cleaning, who would make 'shit' jokes, for once in my life I miss the Levi who would yell at me for being too nice, I miss the Levi I knew"

You walked up to him standing face to face

"I understand your pain, everyone has been through it but locking yourself in a room getting drunk off your ass isn't helping anyone"

He clenched his fist and tried to punch you but you stopped him by his wrist

"You don't know anything about pain, misery, love or anything (Y/N). You think that because you lost a squad to those shit eating Titans makes you leveled with me, I lost my family, my friends, they always leave" he shouted

"Yes I do Levi, I lost everything as well, my family, my friends, slowly taking a small piece of me with them." you exclaimed embracing him

He froze at your warm touch but melted into your heat as you rubbed comforting circles into his back

Affection like yours was something he longed for

Just someone to hold him, to guide him through his pain and misery

"I know how you feel losing everything, being in pain trying to fill that empty void in your heart" you spoke looking into his eyes

"You don't have to suffer alone anymore" you said caressing his cheek with your thumbs then pulling in for a kiss

Seconds later he returned he returned the kiss, passionately and lovingly kissed you.

Pulling away you noticed his cheeks were wet of tears

"Listen to me, whatever you're going through or whatever happens I'll be right here" you stated pointing at his heart

A small shy smile spread across his think lips

" I love you too much to see you in agony, to lock yourself away from the world, I will never leave you" you added pecking his lips once more

You urged him to eat as you laid down onto his bed minuets late he finished his dinner and took a shower

"Come on" you patted the area next to you

He crawled into the bed next to you pulling the blanket over you two

"Oi (Y/N) thank you a lot" he whispered

"What you say" you replied smirking

"Don't make me repeat myself brat"

You let out a small giggle as you laid you head into his chest

"Levi another thing if you think I'm ever going to leave you I won't I promise"

You slowly began to fall asleep listening to his heart beats matching you very own

He let a smile sketch onto his usually stoic features, kissed your forehead running his hands through your (h/l)(h/c) hair.

"I love you (Y/N)" he whispered bringing you closer to him

"I love you too Levi" you replied igniting a small blush onto his pale face

Closing his eyes slowing falling asleep, receiving a great sleep from battling his insomnia

For once in his life he felt as if an enormous weight has been lifted off his shoulders

With you by his side, loving him, you filled his empty void with love, joy, and peace.
