Leyland Adventures Chapter Thirteen: Part Sixteen

"Tysashi...can you hear me?"

"Yeah, I can."

"When are you coming home, my heart aches knowing you're not here."

"I don't know when I'll be back, but I've gotten a good number of gemstones. I just need you to hold on a little bit longer."

"I'm trying, me and the others are. Each day, the pain intensifies as it gradually evolves into a pool of depression in which we all drown. Soon, all of Lenovo will drown."

"Nya...I promise you guys won't have to wait much longer. Thank you all for staying strong for me, I'll make sure to keep fighting for you all."

"Please be safe out there, honey. Please~

Lazily opening his eyes, Tysashi turned to see Aradressa sleeping beside him, sending soft snores from her mouth.

His eyes examined her relaxed body, listening to the slight mumbles she sang to herself as her body jerked. He heard his name sprout from her mouth, and suddenly her subtle movements made more sense.

"I'll be fine, Aradressa. You don't have to worry about anything." He ran his fingers through each individual thread of her hair.

Exiting the room and making his way to the lobby, he was halted by Alfred.

"Have you eaten or drank anything before you decided to leave?"

"No, I wasn't hungry or thirsty, but thanks for asking. Did you stop me just to ask that?"

"Not quite, I came to offer my ability to you. If you recall my elemental category, I can teleport you to the docks of Kanpoi's Edge, skipping the fatiguing walk."

"Whoa, really? Thanks!" He cheered.

"Do keep in mind I'm not a teleportation machine, I expect to be treated the same before I told you about this ability."

"Why, of course! I wouldn't do that to you, Alfred! I can't even think about treating you like that." He stated, hoping he'd believe his words.

"Just assuring we're on the same page. Trust here in Leyland is like walking on a thin rope while another person keeps it steady; they could let go at any moment. Ignore the fact we're fairies, though. Now hold still."

A gray field surrounded him, levitating off the floor. Suddenly, his body was no longer in front of Alfred.

As Mr. Dell had his boat sitting on the water, he gazed upon the bedazzling stars. Their beauty reminded him of his wife, who he sacrificed his time with for Tysashi. As a breath of possible regret ran from his lungs, Tysashi abruptly appeared before the humongous boat.

"Ack, Tysashi! I didn't know you'd teleport here." He jumped, soon easing himself.

"Sorry, I was gonna walk here, but teleportation was offered. Anyway, nice boat!"

"Oh, you like it? It's really just like the others, just bigger. See the lights on the side, that's what we'll be using for protection. Now get up here so we can get started."

Without a sweat, he leaped onto the boat, prepared to begin the voyage.

"Alright, Tysashi. This boat has all the necessary equipment to fend off Shallows. If one is detected, grab one of those javelins and throw them as hard as you can. Their skin is sponge-like, so you'll always do effective damage. Be on your guard, I'll be checking the sonar constantly. Finally, I'll try to make this entire experience as unwavering as possible, but that's only possible if you do your part. With all that being said, are you ready?" His purple eyes locked onto him, noticing a steady smile on his face.

"Yeah, I'm ready." He replied, gripping his fist.

With that, the engine roared as the beast of a boat was set into motion.

The vitalizing moonlight washed over their bodies as the boat sprinted across the sparkling water. The pristine breeze of the wind brushed Mr. Dell's blue cap and Tysashi's hair. Tysashi stared out at the sea, watching its swaying movements.

Mr. Dell took a lengthy sigh, asking Tysashi a few questions.

"So, any plans after this?"

"I'll be chasing after the Nature Gemstone, do some things with friends, and then start going for the Wind Gemstone." He replied with his eyes still positioned towards the sea.

"Ah, I see. Getting busy with the gemstone hunt. I remember when I used to have interest for gemstones. As a kid, I was ecstatic to put myself against gods for their gemstones. But of course as a kid, you don't tend to perceive things with logic and understanding. The tasks required to earn a gemstone were impossible for me, yet I took them on anyway. Some wouldn't accept me because I was a kid, others didn't care. I don't know if you knew this, but there's nothing stopping a Gemstone Wielder from killing you. They're required to use all their power to take you down, which is why Peoria grants any wish. It's a miracle you're still alive, really. You're practically a god."

"Oh wow, thanks for that. I assume you gave up on the gemstones?" His eyes turned to him.

"Yeah, I just focused on my life. It has been going pretty well so far, how's yours?"

"Everything's fair, thank you for asking."

"I hope you're taking a liking to the Kula Region; things can get rough if you're at the wrong place at an unfortunate moment. But hey, you're strong so who am I to say?"

"Hmm, it's odd. I don't keep up with my power; I just do what I can in a fight. Maybe I am a god, but that title gets overused."

"You're right, I guess it's fair to say you're an incredibly powerful teen."

"Yeah, let's go with that." He chuckled, smiling brightly.

Finally reaching Swealie Sea, a pool of purple and pink light could be seen in the distance above the water. Speeding towards the spot, Tysashi prepared his gear. Now the two were sitting above the glow, Mr. Dell released his breath before giving instructions.

"Tysashi, I'm going to hook this waterproof video camera to your forehead. This way, I can see what's going on down there. If you're in danger, I'll be able to save you. As an Aqua-Type, I can efficiently swim through the water. Aquiline told you how to get the shard, right?"

"She did, thanks in advance if anything bad happens."

The man nodded, wishing him the best of luck as his body submerged into the vivid water. Smaller organisms avoided him as he dived deeper into the water. The light shined lustrously while moonlight shot through the water. Eventually, he found his target, absolutely shocked by what his eyes discovered.

A large humanoid jellyfish girl with beautiful lavender skin. Her translucent, luminous bell containing water swayed like a blob of goo. Her purple puffy dress dazzling with sparkling light as her eight tentacles from her bell swam around delicately. Her eyes were shut as her arms snaked around a bubble holding the shard just below her chest.

His breaths stabilized at the sight of her beauty, the abundance of light just radiating from her body made it impossible for anyone to resist staring at her.

Staying on target, he swam towards her, bending his body through her flowing tentacles. He couldn't go too fast or too slow, a decent pace was required to safely make his way to her arms. The closer he drew, the brighter her light glowed. Soon enough, he was face to face with the shard, almost able to feel it in his palms. His hand inched toward the bubble, slowly pulling it from her hold and distancing himself. He stared at the shard, Phospozoa's light caused the gem to glimmer. Still overtaken by the lustrous item, a tentacle tapped his shoulder.

Shaken, he turned around to see golden eyes staring back at him, sending shivers down his spine and fear into his very soul. With a fierce look, her hand forced the camera off his forehead. He forcefully released the bubble. Her slender tentacles then wrapped around him, removing his gear so his fate could be met. As his gear was stripped away, a plethora of bubbles flew from his mouth. The immense pressure of the water weighed heavily on his lungs. His heart sprinted as his vision became blurred all while his ears were drowning in water. Phospozoa clinched her fists as he squirmed for his life, only exhausting him. A rapid timer ticked in his head; all those memories of Lenovo suddenly flashed before him one by one. Eventually, that timer had rung. Air vanished from his lungs as he took one final breath as more bubbles emerged from his mouth.

Phospozoa freed him, letting his limp body sink to the darkest and deepest part of the sea. She rightfully reunited with her shard, cuddling it like a mother would to her baby. His ring sank along with him, its green glow had Phospozoa curious, so she took the ring. She placed it on her finger, setting herself back to sleep.
