Leyland Adventures Chapter Thirteen: Part Three

"So you're here for the Ice Gemstone, correct?"

"Affirmative, Abliss."

The undisputed queen of ice swayed her luscious waves of glimmering silver hair to the side as she released a dragging sigh. "Listen here, princess, I'm not very fond of squandering my time on people such as yourself. I don't care how powerful you think you are, if I don't believe you're not worthy enough to face me, I will not fight you. I'm sure you know how to earn my trust, collect the shards of the guardians and bring them all to me. If you don't know where they are, then too bad. Until then, please remove yourself from my presence."

Without a choice, Aradressa exited the glorious, ginormous ice castle. The harsh, frigid air shoved hundreds of snowflakes in her face. Thanks to her abilities, the cool winds had no effect on her body temperature. Her perfect, pink locks were invaded by an army of snow. The winds whispered in her ear; all that is available are great dumps of snow as far as the eye could see.

"Princess!" A distant voice called. Upon further investigation, the voice belonged to a shaking individual holding his bleeding, unconscious partner. "Princess, please help me! I was skiing with my girlfriend and she crashed into a tree! I think she seriously hurt her head, not to mention her nose. The village is miles away, and I don't have any recovery items on me. If it's not too much to ask, please use your godly abilities to heal her!"

The stranger clapped his hands together, bowing his head in an act of desperation. Aradressa scanned the body, seeing streams of blood run from the woman's head and nose. Exhaling softly, she activated her ability and the blood halted. Slowly gaining consciousness, the woman studied her surroundings. For a moment, she wouldn't remember anything, but that was soon proven false.

"Whitney, thank Peoria you're ok!" He cried, driving her body into the snow. "I can't thank you enough, princess!"

Whitney added her own thanks, receiving a pleased smile.

"Please be more careful when participating in such lethal activities. Equip medical supplies as well."

"We will, thank you again!"

Only five minutes had passed before Aradressa had spotted another citizen in distress. The person had dropped his cargo, scattering numerous crates across the snow. Unable to resist the powerful urge to help, she stepped in to lend a hand.

"Ah, princess. Don't trouble yourself with my problems. I can handle it."

"As true as that may be, I cannot turn a blind eye to my people. So what happened to your cargo?"

"A bunch of monsters attacked me, but I fought them off unscathed. I can't say the same for my cargo, though. Thank you again, princess." He gave a bright smile as she returned it.

"No worries." She responded, placing the last crate down. "Please ensure me that you will be safe during your journey."

He chuckled, promising her his safety. He waved while resuming his walk back to the village.

The further she traveled, the more citizens she noticed in need of assistance. Her hospitality would be triggered automatically when her eyes spotted a person who could use help. It's a blessing disguised as a curse. She possessed an addiction to helping others, an addiction that couldn't be fixed. This went on for what felt like hours. Even though she smiled on the outside, she knew her goal was being halted.

Just as she was reviewing all the time she wasted, yet another pair of people came to her.

"Princess, princess! We need your help immediately." The pair of men approached her with their bodies trembling uncontrollably. Their pupils bounced with impatience. "The wise one requires your power. Please come with us and we'll explain once we arrive to Carrgio Village."

"Yes, I will offer my assistance. Please lead me to your village so that I may help you."

"An unplanned trip to Carrgio Village...this will certainly throw me off my objective. My hospitality has been a roadblock ever since I embarked on my quest. First, I had to assist numerous citizens in the Kula Outlet and now I'm traveling to another area to help more people. Why must my kindness be my undoing?"
