Leyland Adventures Chapter One: Part Three

The two reached Aradressa's pleasant room, complete with pink wallpaper and a cream rug, a closet containing clothing, a flat-screen TV that sat on a level surface and drawers full of female undergarments. Brown shelves of rare items and books stood against the walls as her weapons did as well. He noticed her room had an increased living space compared to the others, nothing to take seriously of course. The pendulum clock to the right of her luxurious bed read nine forty-seven.

"You have a very lovely room."

"Yes, we will be resting here together." She sat on the queen-sized snow white embroidered pink rose cover, inviting him to sit down with her.

Smiling, he sat with her as their gleaming eyes confronted each other once more.

"Is there any way to get back home, my home?"

"Yes, there's a powerful woman named Peoria at the ends of Leyland that can grant wishes. We'll have to collect twenty special gemstones to get a wish as any request will be granted. The required gemstones are as listed: fire, lightning, aqua, wind, nature, light, dark, sun, moon, sound, mirror, rock, ice, healing, psychic, ghost, galaxy, poison, time, and shadow."

"I see...sounds like this will take awhile. Where's the first gemstone?"

"It's in the stomach of a fierce fire dragon somewhere in Leyland, we'll have to locate its egg and defeat it. Not many are familiar with the appearance of the egg, the reason being that the beast is able to inhabit the eggs of others."

"Fighting it will be the easy part; I've fought many beasts in the past though the number of gemstones I need to collect is worrying."

"Gemstones are acquired by consummating certain tasks, mainly by vanquishing the holders of each gemstone, but worry not as I will assist you."

Just before he could even thank her, she was called by her mother. The echoes of her powerful voice caused the young princess to arise.

"I'm sorry, but I must go."

He understood, informing her that he would wander around for a bit. Unable to let him travel alone, she hurriedly rushed to the shelves of her pearl-colored nightstand, scooping out a necklace with a small golden chain holding a pink crystal forming a flower.

"I apologize for its feminine design. This item forms a makeshift shield if someone or something endeavors harming you with power you're incapable to forfend yourself against. It's ineffective against the people you value."

Gazing at the crystal, he threw the necklace over his head, thanking her with a grin. Her mother called her again, the two walked downstairs together with Tysashi heading out the door.

"Where is the boy going?"

"He wanted to walk around for a bit; he'll return shortly, mother."

"Very well, I've looked into him...the boy seems incredibly powerful, he'll do nicely in the arena", Marissa gave a promising grin that usually meant she looked forward to an upcoming event.

"I sensed his potential as well. Mother, have you gathered all of the necessary participants?"

"Not quite, all I ask of is two more entries and it seems Tysashi will do perfectly."

Her statement ended with a somewhat devilish tone, mixed signals orbited around the two. Aradressa suggested to hold off on mentioning the event to him, the opponents would most likely torment him with disgusting comments. Her mother agreed, though still curious if he was powerful enough to survive the warriors of the arena.

The sparkling jewels in the dark, cloudy sky emitted a beautiful glow. The dancing flowers around him shined with colorful energy while butterflies flew across the land.

Obviously he couldn't travel to far so walking in a straight line would be the best option. He stuck to his plan and walked onward, noticing even more flowers as his shoes crushed the grass beneath him. He came across a peculiar flower in the shape of a sparkling white crescent moon. Turns out the current phase of the clouded moon was the waning crescent phase.

"Huh, this must be a special kind of flower that changes depending on the moon. These flowers are really astonishing, I bet Aradressa would like them."

While he plucked the flowers from the ground with a delicate grasp, a group of teens approached him with unclear intentions.

The boy with pale skin with average designed chestnut brown hair and light emerald eyes wearing a green and white striped jogging suit stood as if he was the leader of the pack.

One with coffee skin, flat, black hair and blue eyes clothed in a black and white outfit with the colors resembling that of spray paint.

The last teen had fair cream skin with a full head of raised up blonde hair and a pair of navy blue eyes. The main colors of his sweat suit are the silver and gold arrows extending from the shirt to the pants.

"Bro, is this wingless freak seriously picking flowers," Nate questioned with a smirk, Tysashi stared into emerald eyes only to point out that there was no need for such an insult.

Lincoln dashed his fingers across the innocent chain before making a rude remark. "Nice necklace, did your girlfriend give it to you?"

His blue eyes also met with Tysashi's but in a displeasing manner though he continued to gather flowers and once enough was collected, he began his walk back to the castle, blocking the following insults that were shot at him.

He arrived just as dinner was served in the dining hall. Extensive tables of guards consuming their food and a floor of humid helmets came into sight. Turning his head, Aradressa waved at him while pointing at a vacant seat reserved especially for him. His face grew a wide smile as he headed towards his seat, with each step, it felt as if he was walking on clouds.

Minutes after the meal, the area was cleaned and left silent. Marissa was already in her room, sleeping comfortably as her daughter was cleaning herself. Tysashi waited for her to finish her activities and soon enough, she came out with a rose cotton one-piece pajama attire that fit her slender body appropriately. He presented the trio of flowers which she took with grace and appreciation as her hands gripped the stems of the flowers with ease while her fingers messaged the petals.

"Thank you very much for the Shini Flowers, as you probably guessed, their shape depends on the moon. These flowers are very infrequent and when seven are fully grown, they'll combine to engender a special item."

"Sounds very interesting."

"Did the necklace protect you?"

"Nope, I didn't really need it. These teens were picking on me about collecting these flowers so, I just ignored them and walked back. I guess they didn't know how important these plants are."

"I am just relieved that you are liberate from harm, if you want to take a shower, you may utilize my bathroom." She offered.

Before he could state that he didn't have a change of clothes, Aradressa revealed a white bunny pajama suit with a cottontail. His thoughts hung for a moment before accepting it. Thanking her, he entered the bathroom and cleansed himself.

"Now that we are dressed in sleepwear, it is time to slumber."

As soon as Tysashi laid in her bed, he felt a raging storm of immediate comfort rain over him. Before he could rest, Aradressa shared her thoughts of spending the next day together, he cheerfully accepted the idea while keeping his current objectives in mind.

"Goodnight, Aradressa."

"Goodnight, Tysashi."

Minutes after he fell into a deep sleep, the princess left the serenity of her bed and retrieved her amethyst diary from underneath. She then began writing the following.

Diary Entry #1

"I never thought this would ever transpire, but a boy truly dropped from the sky. When I gazed over his beaten body, I rejuvenated his injuries and he woke up. While examining my eyes and  asking a constrained supply of questions, we expeditiously became friends. For a stranger, Tysashi is prodigiously handsome, his azure eyes constantly shine with overflowing confidence. I know I just met him, but I noticed my growing fixation for him. My mother currently has mixed feelings about him because he's not from this world though she has allowed him to occupy my personal space as long as she has his loyalty. Speaking of which, she mentioned entering him into the arena. I wasn't very fond of that conception as Tysashi still needs time to adjust to this world. Presently, I may not have an abundance of information on him, but he possess great power and seems to have his heart open to others as he brought me Shini Flowers. I hope tomorrow will grant us both the ability to discover more about each other."

End of Entry One

She flew back into the bed, getting comfortably close to Tysashi before closing her sparkling eyes as the stars shined below her, drifting her mind off to a land of pleasing dreams.
