Leyland Adventures Chapter Three: Part One

Another beautiful morning in Leyland, the golden sky brightened everything in its path, the lakes sparked and the grass glistened with beauty. The pink-haired heroine was blessed to wake up in such beautiful weather conditions. Yawning, she glanced at the Luminous Mushroom before reading the checklist taped to the door.

Tasks For Today

•Obtain a Funni Fruit.

•Obtain Twelve Nectar Flowers.

Accepting her assignments, she woke Tysashi and informed him of their tasks. Nodding, he gathered his supplies and took a quick shower as she did the same. Later, the two met with Marissa downstairs for breakfast. 

"I assume you both are aware of the tasks I assigned you."

They both nodded.

"Just for you Tysashi, a Funni Fruit is shaped like an orange with a minuscule red star in the center that can be found in the Kula Outlet. Nectar Flowers are white flowers with a golden, viscous substance emitting from the antennae-like part of the flower. They can found outside of the outlet. Understand?"

"Yes, ma'am." He replied confidently. 

Marissa glanced at him with cheerfulness in her eyes. As Aradressa went out the door, Tysashi was requested to stay behind for a private chat.

"For a being outside of our unparalleled planet, you are incredibly powerful. Such power makes you worthy to enter the upcoming competition in the Kula Arena. In that massive coliseum, where powerful warriors fight for a chance at three wonderful prizes, one including the gemstone you need."

"A gemstone? I suppose it's worth a shot, when is it?"

"It starts when I have enough willing participants. I advise you rest early in advance as that vacant slot could be filled at any moment. Oh, and don't concern yourself about dying. I'll know if you'll lose. Now then, please carry out the objectives I gave."

Just as their eyes separated, Marissa left him with a trustful smile and he returned it.

"So what business did my mother want with you?" 

"She told me I was strong enough to earn another gemstone by winning in the Kula Arena and I'm entering."

"I see, if mother believes you are capable enough then I suppose there is no need for my excessive concern."

With gleaming eyes of tenacity, he positively affirmed he wouldn't lose. Staring deep into the shades of blue within his iris, those rampant waves of doubt settled into a sea of relief. The outlet was in sight, Tysashi rushed towards the area though Aradressa placed a light grasp on his shirt.

"After the events of yesterday, I believe it would be better if I purchased the fruit."

He agreed, allowing her to travel alone while he searched for the flowers. He approached a healthy tree with a pool of Nectar Flowers surrounding it. Just shortly after collecting the materials, another object seized his attention. With further observation, a filthy and unorganized nest with the remains of hatched younglings contained a stray red-spotted egg was apparently left behind. Tysashi safely removed the egg from the abandoned home to inspect it. As his eyes were orbiting the unborn creature, Aradressa caught up with him and questioned the egg he held. 

He briefly explained as Aradressa took hold of the creature. After hearing his explanation, she decided it would be best to preserve the stranded egg. However, Tysashi stated the flame dragon could be inside and should be eliminated. 

"I...believe this is merely an unborn creature that was abandoned, and it doesn't exhibit any signs of being harmful."

He sighed, accepting the risk the kind-hearted princess was willing to take. Thankful of his understanding, she hugged his hand with soothing affection while connecting their fingers together.

"I know somewhere where we can put our emotions to rest." Her innocent voice almost seemed like a seductive whisper as the dulcet dance of her gardenia aroma performed for him.
