Year 2 Chapter 26 - Ginger Redwood

Leo holds my hand as we walk to Defense Against the Dark Arts class. A lot of people stare, but I don't care. Then I remember something.

"Leo! I need to go back to the common room. I forgot something."

"Ok but be quick." he says releasing my hand.

I race to the Ravenclaw Common room. I start to get tired so I turn to my Animagus form. I fly as fast as I can util I get this feeling I'm going to run into someone. I roll my eyes, but sure enough, I do run into someone. I almost fall to the ground when look up to see a Hufflepuff girl in my way.

"I'm so sorry mr owl!" she yelps and pats my head.

"I'm not an owl!" I say turning to my human form. I completely forget that I was above the stairs, and I slip and fall backwards. I yelp as the girl catches me. "I'm also not a mr." I add before she says anything else.

"Oh sorry!" the girl says with an embarrassed face. "My name's Ginger Redwood, 2nd year.

"Leah Scamander, 2nd year as well."

"Oh, that's nice! What class do you have now?" Ginger asks.

"Oh. DADA." I say.

"Ooh! Me too! Want to go together?"

"Not now, I need to go get something." I run up the stairs and answer the riddle, get into my dormitory, I smacked my forehead and fell to the bottom transforming into an owl. I get to class right on time. I sat with Leo and smiled at Ginger.

"Ok class!" Gilderoy Lockhart said with a smile on his face. "Time to be amazed by me!" He stroke a pose and almost all the girls sighed from the pose. I didn't get what was so interesting in him. I look over to Aby, who is sitting close to me, and I see something picking up her quill that was resting in it's ink box. Aby slaps the air and the quill falls back down. She stares at something in an annoyed way. Weird. Was that Springtrap? Did he make it so I couldn't see him? I shrugged and moved on to do my work. I was looking at Tarantallegra. It makes a person's feet dance, useable in dueling. Point wand towards legs. Very descriptive. I frown, but continue reading.

Year 2 Chapter 27 - The Talk About Aby

"Ok, class will be over soon, have a good weekend and spend your time in Hogsmeade wisely! Oh wait. You don't go there yet...." Lockhart says with a laugh.

I sign with annoyance. I hate jokes like that. Everyone starts to leave and that's when I get up too. I look to see Aby running as fast as she can out of the classroom saying, "Have a good weekend Professor!"
"What's up with Aby?" Leo asks. He was looking in my direction.
"Um..." I paused.
"Leah! I know you're hiding something."
"W-what? No I'm not!"
"Come." Leo pulled on my bad arm and I helped in pain, "Deal with it." Leo said with a smirk. I frowned as he led me to the roof.
"Why are here?" I asked.

"Leah, I know you. You're hiding something. What is it?" he asked.

"Well, how do I start?" I take a deep breath. "It all started-"

"HA! I knew you were hiding something!" Leo cut me off. I smacked my forehead, again.

"Will you let me even start!?" I asked.

"Oh yeah sorry. Where were you again?"

"WHAT!? I HAVEN'T EVEN STARTED!" I yelled.

"Ok, ok" Leo laughed.

"You know what!?" I start heading for the edge of the roof.

"Leah! Ok, I'm sorry! Don't-" I cut him off.

"Kill myself?" I smack my forehead, yet again! "I'm an Animagus dummy" I stuck out my tongue.

"Ok, sorry! Can you start? I promise I won't interrupt!" He sat in a comfortable position and stared at me, waiting for me to start the tale.

I roll my eyes and say "Do you remember when Aby suddenly left without saying goodbye?"

"Um...yes. Why?"

"Well..." I paused. Should I tell Leo everything?...I thought. No! Not now, but I guess I'll tell him about Springtrap. I shivered and said "When she came back, I found her with...a ghost." I sighed as Leo rolled his eyes.

"Very funny Leah, now can I hear the story?" He said.

"This is the story. Have you ever wondered where she went for a year?" I asked him.

"Um, I don't know. Wait. She left for a year? I didn't realize."

"Ugh, gosh. Ok. She can show you later, but she turns into a fox. She was something called an animaltronic. She lived along with animals called animatronics. They were made out of metal and had childrens souls inside of them." I didn't know where I was getting the information from. Maybe the trip to Springtrap's head wasn't for nothing after all. "And they were stuck inside those costumes for a really long time. Aby broke some whatever curse that was put on them, and one of the animatronics who liked her, he and all the animatronics were free and they could do whatever they wanted. So, one animatronic, came with Aby, and now he's sort of like her bodyguard. That's a short summary of what happened over the year." I finish.

"Ok, nice story time."

"I'm telling the truth Leo!"

"But a ghost? Really?"

"Ugh! Springtrap!" I yelled. The ghost appeared next to me.

"W-what do you need Leah?" He sounded kind of sad. I looked to him and smiled.

"I'm sorry for what I said okay? Please forgive me." Springtrap looked at me and sighed.

"Alright then. Now, what do you need?" That's when he realized Leo was staring at me.

"Leah, what are looking at?" he asked. "Also, who are you talking to?" He seemed very confused.

"Springtrap!" I announced. "Do you mind?" I whispered to him.

"I-I guess not..." he said. Spring made himself visible to Leo and then put his head down.

"Woah! You weren't lying..." Leo slowly backed up.

"Don't be scared Leo." I smiled.

"He looks like a robot. Leah, stay away from him...." Leo said and took my hand, dragging me closer to him.

"So what did you need?" Springtrap was cross now.

"Oh, um. I didn't really need anything, how's Aby?" I said.

"Everything is totally ok, I need to commit." He went over to the edge of the roof and fell down.

"Ouch." Leo said.

"He's a ghost, nothing will happen to him."

"Just because I'm a ghost doesn't mean I don't have a brain or feelings!" Springtrap was behind me.

"Is Aby with Fred?" I guess.

"Maybe." He said. "I don't know, it might have been the other one." He tilted his head to the side.

"Can someone explain what's going on?" Leo asked.

"Later," I said, focusing on Spring more than him. "We need to talk to Aby, I mean, if she means so much to you.... Just express your feelings to her. I can talk to her if you want-" I got cut off by Springtrap.
"Aby- Aby can't know I was here. I'll try to talk to her. Later." He disappeared into thin air.

"What was that about?" Leo asked.

"Aby has a boyfriend now." I say, biting my lip.

Year 2 Chapter 28 - Meeting on the Roof

"Wait what!?" Leo was as surprised as ever.

"Yes she does..." I rolled my eyes.

"Well let's say congratulations." Leo said.

"Wha- not yet!" I slap my forehead. "He's going down to her right now! What if he decides to not tell her about how he feels, and she'll be very confused."

"The thing is that I won't get confused." Someone says. "Well played Springtrap." Aby high fives Springtrap.

"It's his fault! Curiosity killed the cat!" I joke and pull Leo in front of me.

"What cat? Is it the cat that Aby owns?" Springtrap asks.

"No, wait what? You don't know that saying?" I ask.

"No.... Am I supposed to?"
"Let's fly!" Aby says and skips to the edge of the roof.

"No, not today...." Springtrap says.

"It's pretty high!" Aby says, stepping closer to the edge.

"Aby don't." Spring strictly said.

"Looks like I have to aim for the Great Lake...." Aby says. She is facing us, backwards to the edge.

"I'm not going to retrive you!" Springtrap says.

"Ok.... Suit yourself...." Aby winks and falls down.

"ABY!!!" Springtrap dashes after her.

"See what I mean?" I tell Leo.

"What?"
"They like each other." I say.

"Wee! That was fun! Can we do it again?" Aby asks Springtrap, who is carrying her.

"No! You're worse than Plushtrap...." Springtrap grumbles.

"You know Aby is a Metamorphmagus right?" I ask rolling my eyes. Aby laughs at Springtrap's confused face.

"What does that mean?" he asked.

Aby smiles and says "It means you didn't have to save me!"

"What are you talking about?"

"This!" Aby jumps out of Springtrap's arms and says "Stay here."

"But-" Springtrap starts.

"Wait here!" Aby cuts him off and kisses his cheek....

She then runs of the roof once again. A few seconds later, Aby rises into the sky with Hippogriff wings still forming of her back.

"Woah! How'd I not know?" Springtrap turns to me.

"Don't ask me!" I say, and watch Aby float down. Her wings are really fluffy. She has a claw on either side of the wing. She spreads them fully once she's on ground so we could admire her wingspan which is about four yards.

"Cool!" Leo says. Aby smiles with joy.

Year 2 Chapter 29 - Seriya's Defeat

There's silence for a second. "That looks weird if you ask me." I hear a voice behind me. Seriya was with two of her best friends. Claire and Catherine.

"What do you mean? My metamorphmagus level is higher than you think!" Aby glared at Seriya. Her hippogriff wings started to fall out as she spoke, them being replaced with metal wings. When she finished her transformation, she threw her wings out, full wingspan, and five metal spikes flew out from each side.

"Maybe, maybe...." Seriya said, and twirled her blonde hair around her finger. "You know. I like you. Why don't you join me and my friends, and leave your old ones behind?"

"What no!" I answer for Aby. I get in front at them and hiss.

"I'm afraid you don't get to make the decision. So scoot over." Seriya says.

I hiss again, but I see Aby come next to me with her wings closed.

"And you give me a good reason to why I should do that." Aby tilts her head to the side and shifts her weight to one foot, standing in an 'I'm waiting' position.

"Well one, we are MUCH cooler than they are!" she smirks. I hiss once again as my eyes start to burn up.

"You're talking about Leo too, you know?" I tell her.

"No. Only you." Seriya flaps her eyes.

"Well, let's see how much cooler you are...." Aby says, taking out her wand. I knew she wasn't going to give up so easily.

"Deal." Syria takes out her wand as well.

"Wait Aby! Do you still know your spells!?" I whispered in concern.

"Um...." Aby was silent for a second, but nods slightly with courage. I need to do something! I thought to myself. I was getting really angry and I didn't want what happened to Ary, happen to Seriya too.

"Wait!" I yelled at them. I took a deep breath to calm down and I raised my hurt arm. "First off..." I paused thinking of what to say. "First off, Seriya, this is my friend Aby. She was in Hogwarts for some of first year and come back only a few days ago! She's ...been training, so I don't think you want to mess with her!"

Seriya just looked at me with disgust. "I like a challenge." Seriya says, standing in defence pose. "Places girls!" Claire and Catherine stood in positions, behind Seriya.

"You got this?" I ask Aby.

"We have four while they have three." Aby slightly nods her head towards Springtrap.

"Well good." I place Aby in front of me. Leo and I stand in the back.

Aby nods to Springtrap and he makes himself visible to the three girls against us. Claire and Catherine have frightened faces while Seriya takes a breath and tries to hide her fear.

"Ready to lose!?" Springtrap says with a half evil laugh.

"Nice optical illusion." Seiya says, glancing at Aby.

Springtrap opens his mouth with shock. "What do you just call me!?" He floats to the ground and stomps up to Seriya and slaps her in the face. "That's not how you treat a ghost!!!" He yelled angrily. I couldn't help but laugh.

"A ghost?" Seriya says. "Looks more like a nightmare to me."

"Who is that? In the middle?" Aby asks me

"Seriya. We aren't good friends." I shake my head.

"Nah, Nightmare is way scarier." Springtrap says. I think he's talking about another animatronic.

"Levicorpus!" I say while the three girls are distracted. They all yelp and flip into the air helplessly. They've dropped their wands as well. "Do what you want with them guys!" I giggle.

"I dunno. I was kind of looking towards a battle." Aby shrugs. I carefully put them down on the ground, but I'm alert just in case.

"Ok. Without that thing!" Seriya quickly points to Springtrap. He opens his mouth in shock again. "Oh please! Someone kill me a third time, is that just what I heard?" Springtrap asked us.

Leo and Aby laugh. I do as well. "Here!" I say and I toss my wand to him. "All you have to do is dodge attacks and say 'Eyetrickemous'. Got that?"

"Only if I can remember that." Springtrap examines my wand curiously.

"Okay! Also point my wand at the middle person."

"Okay, but what's Eye-something- something?"

"Eyetrickemous is a spell I made."

"That's right!" Leo joins in. "It's very effective as well!"

"Can't he just say something simpler like 'Flipendo'?" Aby asks.

"Oh you'll see Aby! I don't think you've seen me use this spell, but you'll see the damage it can do!" I smile and wink at her.

"Flipendo!" Seriya is tired of waiting. Thanks to my reflexing skills, I shoot the spell back at Seriya. She dodges it and frowns at me. Then she turns to Springtrap.

"Expeliamous!" she says.

Aby pushes Springtrap out of the way, and he shrugs and aims at Seriya, "Eyetrickemous!" He says. Three spells go shooting out of my wand, heading towards the three girls. One of the spells is Expelliarmus, which hits Claire and her wand goes flying. The second spell is Wingardium Leviosa, which hits Catherine. And the third spell is Flipendo. It hits Seriya and goes flying along with Claire's wand. She lands on the side of the roof, her feet slipping on the tiles.

"Oh no!" I yell. Before I can do anything, Aby flies towards Seriya as Hippogriff wings start to form. She catches Seriya right as she starts to fall of the roof.

"Accio wand!" Claire shouts, her arm extended into the air. A moment later her wand is in her hand.

Year 2 Chapter 30 - Maybe an Enemy to a Frenemy

Seriya turned to Aby. "Why did you save me? Aren't we enemies?" Seriya asks her.

"We are. But if it's a life or death matter, I'll always be there to help." Aby smiles.

"Oh," Seriya says. "WELL I WON'T!!! Serpensortia!!!" A snake shoot out of her wand.

"You know what? You asked for it!" Aby snaps her fingers to become Foxina.

"You weren't lying at all, were you Leah?" Leo whispers with a frightened look.

"Why would I do that!?" I whispered back.

Seriya had the same frightened face as Leo, and she started to backup at quickly as possible.

I looked at the snake to see it coming towards Aby.

"Oh no you don't!" Leo said as he snatched the snake up.

"I'll take care of it." Aby says, imitating Leo's voice. She picks up the snake and bites its neck with her sharp teeth.

"Ooh! That was good!" She licked her teeth with her tongue.

"I'm out!" Claire and Catherine said at the same time and ran to the building.

"What happened? Did I do something?" Foxina says, imitating Clare and Catherine's voices. She coughed and said. "Man. I need to do something with voice changing."

"You never told me she could do that!" Leo said huddling behind me.

"I didn't know either okay!?" I shot back watching proudly.

"I knew!" Springtrap raised his hand.

"Well of course you did! You've spent almost a year and maybe her entire life with her!" I rolled my eyes. I know what she told you! I know she will kill herself to be you! I think with a frown.

"Yes, yes I know." Spring says frowning as well. I could tell Leo was about to say something, so I shut him up by stepping on his foot. He glared as I focused on the conversation with Foxina and Seriya.

"W-what are you!?" Seriya asked with fear.

"Your worst nightmare!" Foxina hissed, her voice echoing. Seriya covered her eyes. She was crying.

I sighed. "Foxina! Stop!" She turned to me and transformed back to Aby. Then, Aby walked a few steps away, glaring at me. Leo ran over to confort Seriya, which made me mad.

"I'll leave you two alone then..." I said to Leo. I then pulled Aby with me away from them.

"What now!? I was about to-" Aby started.

"I know, I know!" I cut her off. "I just don't think it's the best idea...."

"I just don't think it's the best idea!" Aby replied using my voice.

"Can you stop please?" I ask her.

"I was given a talent, now you just want me to throw it away?"

"Aby! That's NOT what I'm saying! It's just, scaring her is one thing, but torturing her!? That's something completely different!"

"When was I torturing her? I was just saying that I'm your worst nightmare."

"Aby, you need to understand. Seriya isn't a person who cries."

"Well how would I know?"

"You don't know and that's what I'm saying. Aby, she feels you torturing her! You need to understand others' feelings."

"Hey, hey, hey! Can we get some space here!" Springtrap interrupts. Why Springtrap? Why? I think.

"Just stay away and everything will be ok!" Spring says.

"No Springy, she didn't do anything. She's just telling my about something that I did."

"Just ugh, fine! I just got a little worried. I'll jump off the roof now." He walked up to the roof and fell off.

"Listen! Ok! I'm sorry! Maybe I reminded her about something that happened in her past! It's no big deal."

"But what could you remind her of...." I mutter.

"I don't know. Maybe I reminded her of the animatronics. Who knows."

"What!? She's doesn't even know what an Animatronic is!" I sighed.

"I said who knows. Maybe she came to one of our shows on a day or something. Because that is not my first time seeing her." Aby says, looking over at Seriya. She bares her fox fangs at her.

"Aby! Stop it!" I say.
"Ok! Geez! Fine!" Aby goes to sit by on the side of the roof, and her legs swing back and forth. She starts to sprout hippogriff wings.

"What's that for?" I ask.

"Protection. What if I accidentally fall? You never know. And though I have a high metamorphmagus level, my transformation is really slow. I'm working on it though."
"Listen. About what I said. I'm sorry, I was just really upset you had to go through all that. Now I don't think you can even go back to living your original life. I just feel..." I paused not knowing what to say.

"Lonely?" Spring asked.

"Yeah..." I sighed and turned to my Animagus form. "Either way, it's the last week of Hogwarts. I want you to have the best last week ever! After all, you came back only a few days ago..." I paused again. There was silence from both Aby and Springtrap. "I guess I'll go. See ya." I then flew off into the forbidden forest. I don't why, I just did.
