Hello my fellow companions and Wattpadians. Here's another little story I based off a cute picture I found. Enjoy! Hope u like it!

**************************

The little fairy glided into the dark cottage, which was soon illuminated by the golden glow of her wings. All I need to do is find some sugar, I'm sure the humans who live here have some, she thought, hiding behind the many books that were stacked on a long bookshelf. Once she landed, the glow from her wings vanished and she tip-toed along in the dark to where the food was stored. She found the sugar in a wooden container and picked up one sugar cube, which was pretty large for the fairy. Before she spread her wings to fly away, a young boy walked through the doorway.

She surpassed a scream and ducked behind the dusty books, though peeking curiously at this human being. His blond hair was tied back in a small ponytail and his blue eyes were searching for the water bucket. After drawing himself a drink of cool water, he lit a candle and began searching the bookshelf. The fairy stood as still as a statue, not daring to breathe. The boy selected a book nearby where the fairy hid and blew off the dust.

A tingle grew and grew in the little fairy's nose until she could hold it in no more. She let out a cute sneeze that sounded like a mouse squeak. Confusion. He set the book down and started searching the shelves. The poor little fairy could not take the stress no more and made a break for it, leaving the sugar cube behind and flying out the window.

The boy found a sugar cube on the dusty shelves and looked out the window, seeing the little light of the fairy's wings fading in the distance. Smiling, he set the sugar cube on the window frame and continued on his late night studying.

As the sun began to rise above the trees, the little fairy woke from her bed of leaves up in the tree to see the cottage window open. There sat the sugar cube. She dusted off her white dress and cautiously flew to the window. Landing next to the block of sugar, her crystal blue eyes scanned for any sign of danger. Then without any hesitation, she clutched the sugar close to her and taking one last glance in the cottage, she saw the boy from last night, watching her. The timid creature shrieked and darted away deep into the forest.
