Your POV

"Babe!" Ethan yelled from inside the mini kitchen. You walked over, just in time to see Ethan place a cake on the counter.

You smiled. "Did you bake a cake for me?"

He grinned. "Yep. I thought you would want something for dessert."

You walked to the refrigerator to look for something to drink and gasped. "And you bought (Alcoholic Beverage)?"

He nodded, hugging you from behind. "Anything for you." He kissed your hair, and you leaned in to the touch.

"Is there, like, a special occasion, or anything?" You recalled the last time he did something like this for you- that was when he told you that your father passed away from cancer.

He shook his head. "Nope! I just wanted to do something for you."

You closed the refrigerator door and turned around, looking at him. "Ethan, be honest."

He bit his lip. "Well, there is one thing on my mind."

"Spill it. I won't get mad. Hopefully." You meant it as a joke, but he looked tense. You rubbed your hands up and down his arms. "Babe, it's okay. We need to talk to each other. We need to be open about things. So what's on your mind?"

"Well, you know I love you, right?" He said, somewhat nervously. You nodded. "Well, I thought that we could... that I should..." He couldn't finish a thought.

"Babe, it's okay. You can tell me." You smiled at him.

He flashed a small smile back. "I know, but... this is a really hard thing to talk about."

You pulled him in, hugging him tightly. "Don't be nervous. I promise I won't make fun of you."

He took a deep breath. "I just thought that... I could... show it to you."

You smiled stepping back. "I'm pretty sure that you already did that. I mean, we are married now."

He shook his head. "No. In... another way."

"Oh." Then, you realized what he was talking about. "Oh."

Ethan got nervous again. "W-we don't have to if you don't want to. Nothing you d-don't want. I-it was just a thought."

You giggled, taking his face lightly. "Ethan, shut up!" He stopped talking immediately. "I... I want to." His eyes lit up. "But I'm just... scared. I mean, the last time this happened..."

"We were drunk." He finished. "I know."

You shook your head. "No, the last time this happened when I was awake." Ethan stared at you, silently telling you to explain. "Zach forced me to have sex with him Sophmore year."

He glared. "He's lucky that he's in jail."

You shook your head. "That's not the point. I just... I don't know. I'm scared, nervous, everything."

Ethan lightly kissed your forehead. "It's okay. I am, too. We'll figure it out when it happens. Okay?"

You nodded. "Okay."

He smiled. "Great. Now, let me order a pizza, and you can watch TV." You kissed his cheek and moved over to the bed, turning on the TV and muting it so Ethan can call the pizza place.

Short timeskip

The pizza was gone, the cake was halfway gone, and you already had a drink of (Alcoholic Beverage). Your jetlag was starting to become apparent, but you shrugged it off, trying to stay up as long as you could with Ethan.

You smiled at him exhaustedly, reaching over and squeezing his hand. "I love you."

He smiled back. "I love you, too."

You leaned towards him and kissed him. He kissed back with the same amount of passion.

The kiss slowly got more heated, until you were sitting on Ethan's lap.

He widened his eyes and pulled away. "A-are you sure? You're barely awake."

You shook your head, kissing him again.

The timing was terrible. It was late at night, and you were practically falling asleep already. But it was now or never.

The both of you gave in to each other.
