Emerson's POV

Anti barged into the Great Hall, throwing the doors open with his magic for a dramatic entrance. "In four months time, there will be great news coming everyone's way!"

Dark looked up at him. "What are you talking about?"

"I'm not allowed to tell you that, yet." Anti answered. "But you're going to love it."

Elaine grinned. "I can't wait."

Mark looked at her. "Do you already know what it is?"

Elaine nodded. "I knew a week ago, but without explicit permission from the person, I'm not allowed to say anything about it." She winked at Mark. "Guardian angel code."

Sean groaned. "You're no fun."

"Love you too, Sean."

I looked over at Anti. "Where's Victoria?"

"In the library. She needed some time alone."

I stood up from my spot at the table. "I'll be back everyone." They all nodded towards me as I left the room. I walked down the hallway in relative solitude for a few minutes before eventually finding the library. I opened the door and walked inside.

"Victoria?" I called out. "Dondé estás en la biblioteca?"

I heard a giggle coming from somewhere nearby. "At the map table."

I quickly made my way over there, smiling when I saw her with her nose buried in a book. She looked up at me and immediately put her book down. "Hey."

I sat down next to her. "Hey to you, too." I leaned over and kissed her. "So what did you and Anti talk about?"

"Oh, nothing important. What about you and Dark?"

I shrugged. "Just about the coronation and stuff. He said that our decision was a good idea and-"

She cut me off, biting her lip. "Em, I'm pregnant."

I paused for a long moment, staring at her. "...what?"

She took a deep breath, closing her eyes. "I'm pregnant."

Slowly, a grin appeared on my face. Victoria slowly opened her eyes, and was surprised to find that I was smiling. "Well, finally you come out and say it! I thought you weren't going to tell me until you start showing!"

"You're... not surprised?"

"Babe, I'm like Anti when it comes to these things. I can tell early on when someone's pregnant. I already knew before today. So, no, I'm not surprised. I'm more excited that anything else."

"You are?"

I eyed her. "I get the feeling you're not."

She sighed, burying her head in her arms on the table. "I don't know. I'm nervous about it. I mean, I don't know how to take care of a child, especially after the 'care' I got from my father-"

"Hey. Listen to me." I took one of her hands, and she sat up. "You don't need a good parental figure to understand how to take care of a child. All you need is to remember how you wanted to be treated, and treat that child like that."

"Are you sure?" She asked uncertainly. "You don't think I'm going to... to..."

I started to understand what she was getting at. "You think you're going to turn into your father, don't you?" She nodded. "Let me ask you something about that. Do you love me?"

"That's a stupid question."

"Do you love the unborn child?"

She gave a small smile. "Yeah. I don't even know that they look like, but I already love them."

"If I pass away one day, will you be upset about it?"

"Of course. You're my wife."

"Upset enough to take it out on other people?"

She shook her head. "No. I'm not a violent person."

"Exactly. So don't be nervous." I kissed her forehead. "You're going to be an excellent mother. Don't doubt yourself."

She grinned. "Thanks, Em. I feel a lot better."

I took the book from the table, standing up. "Come on. Let's go back to the bedroom. I'll order some ice cream, and we can have a movie night until we fall asleep. Sound fun?"

She nodded, standing up as well. "Sounds like exactly what I need right now."

I grinned at her as I put the book back on a nearby shelf. "I know you so well."

"You really do, and I love you for it."

"I love you too, Victoria. For ever."
