A/N: Alright my lovelies here is the chapter you've all been waiting for. I'm really sorry I didn't update as quickly as should have done. I'm up to neck deep with work, and don't have the breathing space. But I made this chapter really long. Hope you enjoy it.

Astrid 's POV

As soon as bell rang throughout the school everyone quickly stood up ignoring Mr. Holgerson's protests, and were out of the classroom faster than Roadrunner. I laughed to myself and started to pick my things from the desk and put them in my bag.

"Oh what am I going to do with them?" Mr. Holgerson sighed. I felt bad, but what can I do.

I walked towards him and sat in the chair in front of him.

"Are you alright Mr. Holgerson?" I asked seeing his eyes shining.

"Oh...um... yeah why wouldn't I be?"

"Because you look sad."

"I...I'm fine Astrid. It's the end of the day you should be happy, go home relax and come to school safely please." He said in a fatherly tone. I can see that he's about to break down, but why does his eyes looks so sad?

"What happen? I know I'm prying sir, but you look so miserable. Shall I get Mrs. Holgerson." Yep, that's right Mr. Holgerson's wife work in the same school as him, but just in a different department. They actually have an child I know that because they brought him in. He was so adorable.

"Ast..." he never got finish because someone barged in. I looked up to see an confused Hayden walking into the class after slamming the door closed.

"When the hell are you coming Asty? the guys are waiting at the parking lot." What? why are they meeting me at the parking lot.

"Why?" Is the only thing I asked.

"The beach house, we are going straight over there you idiot." I frowned.

"First, don't call me an idiot, and secondly I don't even have my clothes with me."

"You can buy them there." Hayden insisted pulling me out of my seat.

"Yeah, because money grows out of trees these days. Stupid. Also, stop being so impolite." I scolded him.

"What did I do?" he asks in shock.

"What didn't you do is the question Hayden. You barged in here while Mr. Holgerson and I were talking..." I got cut of from Mr. Holgerson himself.

"It's quite alright Astrid."

"No, it's not. Sir, Hayden doesn't have a cent of decency."

"Whatever, hurry up because the roads aren't safe when it gets darker Nerd."

I tried to ignore Hayden who decided he will sit next to me.

"Oh shit, Mr Holgerson. I'm so sorry for your loss. Dad told me this morning." Hayden spoke in a soft voice. I looked up at him, his eyes told one story while his face told another.

"Is that why you didn't give me a hard time today Hayden?" Sir asked.

"Yes, I know you know that I've been kind of the exact same place as you are now. Trust me its going to hurt for a long time. Do me a favour though."

"What can I do for you Mr. Haddock?"

"Don't push the ones you love the most because you're hurting. Talk to them." With that said Hayden grabbed my wrist and dragged me out of the classroom.

He was so sweet in there, but I know he's thinking about his sister.

"Who did he lose?"

What?!  I'm a curoius person, and I know that's going to be the death of me.

"His son. The boy was crossing the road when a drunk driver hit him. He apparently died on the spot. At least that's what dad told me this morning." I gasped, tears clouding my eyes. This is why there is so much hurt in his eyes!

But I have to act casual. His face is clearly covering his hurt by smirking, but no matter what eyes don't lie.

"I'm sorry I wasted your time. Its just that he looked so unfocused and needed some one to talk to. I was about to go get Mrs. Holgerson." He just looked down at me and gave me a warm smile. That's when I realised that we were not going to the car park.

"Where are we going?" I asked.

Hayden brought his finger to his lips gesturing me to be quiet. Then he went to the staff room and knocked the door.

Gods! You're not supposed to knock on the staff room. The teachers go ballistic if you do. Although, I don't understand why?

I was brought out of panicking when I heard shouting in front of me. I quickly scanned the area to see where it was coming from. It was coming from the staff room. What a surprise.

"HOW MANY TIME DO WE HAVE TO TELL YOU HAYDEN! DON'T. KNOCK . ON .THIS. DOOR! People are working hard unlike you, you're just a waste of space." How dare he speak like that to Hayden!

"Mildew, I don't care if you're working hard at whoring around in there or if you're actually working. Which I highly doubt, being honest you here though, I'd change your entire face before starting to whore around because not even pig would have sex with you." Hayden simply stated his smirk never leaving his face, and I know he was being extremely rude, but I couldn't help but find it hilarious.

"WHY YOU!" Mr. Mildew was about to raise his hand at Hayden. He wouldn't would he? I wanted to scream Hayden's name out, but I couldn't. Before Mr. Mildew's hand could make contact with Hayden's face, Hayden blocked it by holding Mr. Mildew's wrist few centimetres away from his face.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you, but I came to talk to Mrs. Holgerson, and you can bring her to me if you know what's good for you, you old bag of bones." For a second fear flashed in Mr. Mildews eyes, but he quickly covered it up with ignorance.

"Stay here Haddock, I'll bring her here." Mr. Mildew said in a shaky voice. He was scared of Hayden. What the poop is happening in this world today?

Not even a minute after Mrs Holdgerson came out. "Hayden was it you who knocked on the door?"

"Yes, it was me aunt Silvia, I would of left the school, but my friend you know Astrid...."

"Astrid's your friend?"

"Yes she is, and don't worry I won't lead her a stray. Anyway she was talking to Alvin, and well he looked like he needs you aunt Silvia. I told him not to push you away or anyone in the family, but you he still needs you. I thought I should let you know."

"Thank you Hayden, I'll go to him right now."

"No problem aunt Silvia." Hayden's voice rung through the corridor bringing me out of my shock. Wait. Wait. Wait. Hold the phone up! Mrs Holdgerson is Hayden's aunt so, that mean Mr. Holdgerson is his uncle. This day cannot get any weirder. Just as Hayden was about to walk towards me Mrs. Holdgerson grabbed his wrist, and pulled him into a big hug.

"Hayden your not a waste of space, you're the best nephew a aunt could ask for."

Hayden didn't reply, but he smiled. A genuine smile that I could stare at forever. It was so beautiful. Hayden slowly broke the hug and made his way towards me.

"Come on, the guys are waiting for us." That's all he said, and that all I needed to hear. We walked down the corridors in compete silence, but I didn't mind it one bit.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"Okay, you're creeping me out! Why are you staring at me?" Hayden asked bringing me out of my thoughts. My cheeks heated up as I realised that I have been staring at Hayden. Oh poop!
I instantly looked out the window hiding my now very red cheeks. "I...I was thinking, I wasn't staring at you. Why would stare at a pig head?" I squeaked out a quick reply trying to hide the fact that I was in fact staring at him.
"Excuse me! A pig head! I'll have you know that my head is quite beautiful." Hayden said in a mock shocked voice. He was wearing his stupid smirk again, and now staring at me. He is such a cocky pig.
Urgh he's so frustrating!
"Now who's staring! Look at the road you dumb egg or you'll get us both killed." Hayden being Hayden just laughed, but he put his focus on the road.
You see we were currently making our way to the beach house. The twins were riding with Snotlout and Fishlegs. We've been on the road for around two hours, and no I'm not exaggerating the time spent in the car with Hayden either.
"Are we there yet?" I asked Hayden, but he only just chuckled.
"I don't remember saying anything funny." I hissed. My but is hurting from sitting in the car for so long. I just want to get out and stretch my legs.
"No, its just that every time mum, dad, Ivy and I took really long car journey's like this one Ivy managed to annoy my parents with that question all the time. You just reminded me of it. And to answer your question, we'll be there in ten minutes." I smiled at him. I'm happy that he was sharing his past with me.
"I wish I knew her, I really wanted to meet some one great like her. I mean from the stories I've heard she had you wrapped around her little finger." As a response Hayden just laughed.
"That she did, but she also had dad wrapped around her little finger too. Mum was the only one who didn't fall for her beautiful green eyes. Man, I remember every time I wouldn't do something she wanted she would pout while making her eyes big. My princess was so adorable. Mum always said that dad and I spoiled her too much, but we didn't care because she was our princess you know."
I smiled while looking at him. "Yeah I know." I replied quietly while smiling. The car was taken over by silence again, but this was a comfortable silence.
I love how he opens up to me. Maybe. Just maybe I'll have an amazing weekend.
A/N: I'm really sorry again, but I hope you enjoyed it.
