Bobby

I was sitting at home after finishing my job and was waiting for Lori to call me. Lori always called and texted me which was a highlight of my day. Who cares what my mother says? This is normal...right? Lori has always placed our relationship first and as her boyfriend...it's my duty to do my part. 

So when my phone started to ring...I instantly reached for it and was excited for her call. Only to see that it was my little sister, Ronnie Anne, calling me. 

Nie Nie? What's going on?

I'll tell you when you come to the hospital. Mom and I have something important to discuss with you.

A..Are you hurt? 

No, but we have some news that we need to share with you and it involves Lori.

WHAT? I'm on my way.

I instantly hung up on Ronnie Anne and started to race towards my car. This can't be happening...my beloved Lori was in the hospital. Hurt and injured. I hoped that she wasn't going to die since she is my one true love. My thoughts were so intense that I hardly noticed that I was nearing the hospital until I noticed the sign and turned into it. Then I raced inside where I noticed my mother, sister, Carol, Clyde and the Louds sitting at front.

"Mom? What's going on? Is Lori okay?" I asked. At first, Mom looked bewildered at my questions then she started to get a little confused.

"What? Lori is fine." She said.

"But Nie Nie said..." I started until my sister interrupted me.

"I said that the news involves Lori. Not that she was injured by any means." Nie Nie said with an irritated tone.

"Then why did you call me?" I asked.

"I called you because Lori did something to Lincoln that caused her to get arrested and disowned." Nie Nie said.

"What? NO. Lori loves her siblings. She told me all about how caring she is towards them and how she always helps them no matter what." I said.

"I'm sorry to burst your bubble, but what she said were all lies." Lori's sister...Lynn said.

"L..Lies? Lori wouldn't lie." I said.

"Oh really? Then why would she make us do her chores, homework and find her things if she was so caring towards us." Lori's other sister, Luan said.

"Not to mention that she goes all dictator on us when Mom and Dad are out on their date nights." Lola said.

"T..That can't be true. Lori is the most thoughtful and caring woman that I love." I said before Carol started to speak.

"Listen Bobby, Lori is not the woman that you love. She is controlling every aspect of your life and is even trying to make you force your sister to date her brother to keep you in her grasp." Carol said.

"Ronnie Anne loves Lincoln...Lori said so." I said.

"That may be sorta true, but I would like to do things at my own pace and not at the pace of a woman who clearly cares for you more than her own family. You heard what she's done to her sisters and know that she controls everything. Face it Bobby, you hardly had a say in what you should wear or where to go since your relationship started." Nie Nie said.

"That's not true...There's the time that I...I..." I said before I came up with a blank. Did I ever choose where to go or where to go on our dates? 

"See. Lori has been making all the decisions of your relationship from the beginning and is keeping you from making friends with the opposite sex." Carol said.

"But I..." I started to say before a doctor came to the room with a sorrowful expression on her face.

"Are you the Louds?" The doctor asks.

"Yes. Is Lincoln okay?" Mrs. Loud asked in a worried expression.

"There's good news and bad news. The good news is that impact didn't hit the brain." The doctor said.

"And the bad news?" Mr. Loud said.

"It damaged the left eye so much that we had no other choice, but to remove the eye." The doctor said causing everyone to gasp.

"C..Can we see Lincoln?" Mrs. Loud said.

"Of course." The doctor said as we started to follow her towards Lincoln's room. As we kept going, my thoughts were going haywire. Lori lied to me about what really happens in her household. If she lied to me about that then what else did she lie to me about? I was cut off when we reached Lincoln's room and headed inside where my blood frooze.

This was what Lori did to her own brother? He was pale with several bandages surrounding where the left eye was. I hardly moved until I heard Lori's sister, Leni speak to me. 

"Lori did this because he decided to follow me during a fight. If she could do this to him then what does it say towards her character." Leni said causing me to flinch. 

"Bobby. You need to make a choice. Will you continue to live your life through rose covered glasses and support Lori or will you see what she really is and gain friends who will always have your back no matter what starting with me?" Carol said. I knew that there was one choice for me to make and I decided to.....
