Your POV

I lost track of how long I remained in the dungeons of the Elvenking. It didn't really bother me to be there. I'd been in brigs before and in this one, I could practice my magic, even if I couldn't get out. I would have poofed myself out of there if I'd have known where to go. The only thing on my mind was whether or not Thorin made it to the mountain. Well that and the witch finding me. I would be powerless to stop her from inside a cell, but I hoped it wouldn't come to that. My hopes were realized one night when the guard approached my cell. "Come with me."

He lead me to a lavish chamber. "The king has ordered you a bath and new clothes. You will be leaving in an hour." With that, he turned and left the room. I saw a light purple gown laid out on the bed. I was focused on it so intently, I didn't hear the door of the bath chamber open. "My lady?" I spun around to see a female elf standing behind me. Luckily I kept my magic in check this time. I would have hated to mar her pretty face. "Forgive me for startling you. Your bath is ready." She was a fair distance away. Obviously Thranduil had warned her about what happened in the throne room. "Thank you. Do you know where I am going?" She shook her head.

"The king did not say, only that you would need to be clean and dressed when he was ready to retrieve you." She lead me into the bath chamber and then left. My sore muscles sighed as I sank into the warm water. It was better than bathing in lakes and rivers like the company and I had been doing the entire journey. Once again, my thoughts returned to my love. I missed him dearly. I'd never cared for anyone that much before. I took my time finishing my bath. By the time I emerged from the bath chamber, the maid had returned. I was wrapped in a towel. She asked me if I required help getting dressed.

"No thank you." I waved my hands and the dress appeared on my body and my hair was done. I beamed at my new found abilities. Perhaps I could take on the witch after all, but first I needed to know what Thranduil had planned for me. The was a sudden knock at the door and the object of my current thoughts swept in. The maid bowed low and scurried away. I didn't blame her. Thranduil's intense gaze was enough to scare anyone. Not me however. "Thank you for the change of scenery. Can I help you?" I asked nonchalantly trying not to give away how curious I was. "We ride to Dale. The dragon has been slain and the city is in need of aid. You will ride with me."

I'd heard the name Dale before. Thorin had spoken of it. Apparently it was once a grand city just outside of Erebor. My heart leapt. If the dragon was slain, there was no doubt that the company had made it to the mountain. I would see Thorin again, just as I promised. Thranduil held out his hand to me. I eyed it suspiciously for a moment before taking it. He was being a little too nice to me. It reminded me of the Evil Queen. She could be extremely sweet until you did or said something to make her angry.

I'd been summoned by the queen. No one wanted to be summoned by the queen. It was NEVER a good thing. "My dear, I need you to do something for me," her voice was sickly sweet. "What is it that you need, Your majesty?" I was standing before her, one hand on the hilt of my sword, the other on my hip. "I heard that you have a particular set of skills and I need you to use those skills to help me get something from an old friend." I quirked an eyebrow. If this was an old friend, why did she need me. "Who is this friend?" She grinned at me.

"Ursula. She has something of mine and I need it back." I'd heard of the Sea Witch and I had no desire to see her. "I'm sorry, Your Majesty. Find another pirate or thief. I will not go near that horrible woman." I bowed and then turned to walk away. "Do not walk away from me!" I felt myself being forced to turn and face the queen. "I may have given you the impression that it was a request, but it was not. I am ordering you to get what I need!" she growled in my face. I laughed. "Perhaps you don't understand the term 'pirate'! I make my own rules!" The next thing I knew, I was in the dungeon.

It took several days to reach Dale. We were greeted by a rugged looking gentleman. "I heard you were need of aid," Thranduil said. I could not see his face from my perch behind him, but I could tell he was smirking. Thranduil slid off his elk and assisted me down. "I came to reclaim something of mine in exchange for something of Thorin Oakenshield's," he told the gentleman. I knew he had something up his sleeve and I glared at him again. I hated that stupid elf. I could see where Thorin's dislike came from. "Bard, my lady," he greeted me, taking my hand. "Y/N." Thranduil led me and Bard to his tent. "Why would Oakenshield risk war? It does not make any sense," Bard mumbled as Thranduil and I sat.

"War is coming, though not from Thorin Oakenshield," a gravelly voice came from the tent's entrance. "Gandalf!" I cried, leaping up to throw my arms around his waist. I had not realized how much I'd missed the members of the company until that moment. "Hello, my dear." Gandalf began telling of the orc army that was marching toward the mountain. "You really think that threatening war will convince him? You're wrong." The four of us turned to find Bilbo standing there. "Bilbo Baggins," Gandalf exclaimed. From inside his coat, Bilbo produced a shining stone.

"How did you come by this?" Thranduil asked, amazed. "I took it as my 14th share." I stifled a giggle before turning to Thranduil again. "Let me go talk to him. Perhaps there is still a chance to avert a war between Dwarves, Men and Elves. I will try to convince him." The four males looked at me and Thranduil nodded. I exited the tent, excited to see Thorin again. "Y/N, wait!" Bilbo called running after me. "What is it Bilbo?" He took a deep breath. "I'm afraid Thorin is not himself. Something about that gold and the search for the Arkenstone seems to have poisoned his mind. Be careful. There may not be a way to get through to him," he said softly. I was taken aback.

"Thanks Bilbo. Come with me?" He nodded and we set of to the mountain together. "He missed you, you know. Before we entered the mountain, I could tell he thought about you all the time. The gold was touched by dragon sickness according to Balin and it greatly affected Thorin." We continued to talk and by the time we entered the mountain, the sun was rising. We watched as Thranduil and Bard came into view to negotiate with Thorin. I could see the change in Thorin's face as Bilbo and I approached the company. "Lass, you're here." I nodded, not taking my eyes off Thorin. He looked like a man possessed. I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes.
