Thorin's POV

I was in Rivendell meeting with Elrond. "Mellon, I have called a small council together to discuss whether there is anything we can do. I do not know of any magic that can bring your queen back, but perhaps someone else does," Elrond explained as we approached the small gathering of people. I noticed Gandalf immediately, but there were two others present that I did not recognize. One was a she-elf and the other appeared to be another wizard.

"Thorin Oakenshield," I heard a woman's voice in my head, "Your heart carries a heavy weight." I saw the she-elf staring at me intently with a small, knowing smile on her face. "King Thorin, may I present the Lady Galadriel and Saruman the White." I bowed to both. I'd heard of Lady Galadriel. She was one of the three elves given a ring of power. She was seemingly all-knowing. "I trust Lord Elrond has informed you of my plight?"

They all nodded and Lady Galadriel spoke softly. "The magic that separated you from your queen is not found in this world. We have all been searching for an answer and have found nothing." I felt my shoulders slump. "So it is hopeless?" I hated myself for sounding so small, but I needed my wife back. I needed Y/N. "No, Thorin. Not hopeless. Your queen is strong and determined. She has access to the type of magic that can bring her back to you."

I returned to Erebor with a heavy heart. Even Galadriel could not help Y/N return to me. "Any news, Uncle?" Fili asked upon my return. I merely shook my head. The mood in the mountain was grim. It was as if Y/N had died again. I did my best to run my kingdom the way she wanted me too, but I felt incomplete. Despite this, Erebor was thriving with the help of my nephews and sister. Dis was very supportive and encouraging. She would spend hours with me in the library trying to search for a way to bring Y/N home.

Your POV

I was uneasy. We had made it to Snow's summer palace, but found that someone had already taken up residence. Zelena. She had escaped Mirkwood's dungeon somehow and found her way back to the Enchanted Forest. I hadn't seen her, but Regina had and informed us. We didn't know what she wanted and that worried me even more. Not only was I pregnant, but so was Snow. Until we figured out how to stop Zelena, Snow wanted us to lead normal lives, but I couldn't shake the feeling that something was about to happen.

I had spent the majority of my time with Roland, Robin Hood's son. I thought it would give me the practice I needed for whenever my own little one was born. I now knew that I was going to be pregnant for a while. I was already a year along and I was barely showing. At the moment, I was helping Roland mount a pony we had come across. "Miss Y/N?" I looked at him as I prepared to mount my own steed. "Papa says that you're a queen. Is that true?"

I sighed. "I am a queen back where I come from. But here? I'm just an ordinary pirate," I answered sadly. I missed Thorin so much and every time I thought of him, our child began to move. Roland and I enjoyed our daily ride and picnic, but Robin was waiting for us in the stables when we returned. His countenance was glum. "Robin, what is it?" He hoisted Roland off the pony and turned to me. "Snow White and David wish to see you in the ballroom right away. They have a plan to stop the witch."

I quickly dismounted and ran to the ballroom. I found Snow and David with Regina. "Robin said you wanted to see me," I questioned. In the middle of the room was a very large cauldron. "We have to stop the witch. We think the only way to do that is with a Dark Curse," Regina told me plainly. I blinked my eyes a few times and shook my head, not certain I'd heard her correctly. "Wait a minute, you stopped that same curse just to cast it again? And whose heart are you going to sacrifice? It has to be the heart of the thing you love most, right? The thing I love most is back in Middle Earth and the thing you love most is in the other realm."

"Exactly...which is why I'm going to cast it," Snow told me with a sad look at David. "You can't do that!" I cried, "There has to be another way!" The three of them looked at me. Their melancholy radiated off of them. "Regina, isn't there anything we can do?" Regina shook her head. "This curse requires the greatest sacrifice." I looked down at the ground and shuffled. Regina finished adding the ingredients to the cauldron and turned to Snow. Regina ripped out David's heart and handed it to the princess. I watched with a heavy heart as Snow White crushed the heart of her Prince Charming and dumped the ashes in the bubbling cauldron.
