Thorin's POV

Y/N was still alive! We moved together as we slaughtered filthy orc after filthy orc. "Amrâlimê, forgive me. I was not myself," I pleaded as we killed another two orcs. "Thorin, now isn't the time!" she yelled, ducking to avoid a blow. I tried for several minutes to reason with her over the sound of dying orc, dwarves, men and elves. "I forgive you! Can you please stop professing your love and help me kill this bloody thing?!" A rather large orc had come from the ranks and ran at Y/N. Together we quickly dispatched it.

"I'm going to kill that piece of filth!" I declared and went in search of the Defiler. "Thorin! Wait!" Y/N, Dwalin and my nephews joined me. "I cannot stop you, but I will not let you go alone," Y/N said. She was caked in orc blood, but her eyes sparkled with determination. Kili and Fili separated from the rest of us to search for Azog while Y/N, Dwalin and I were set upon by more orcs. "FILI!" I heard Kili suddenly scream and looked up. Azog had Fili held up with his weapon to his back. For a moment, I was frozen as Azog ran his weapon through my nephew and dropped him. Y/N began running to him. "Y/N, no!" She turned to me. "I can save him!" She took off again I turned my attention back to Azog.

Your POV

I slid under and past orcs on the ice, slicing away at them with my sword as I made my way to Fili. If there was even a hint of a heartbeat left, I'd be able to heal him and save his life. I saw Kili running toward more orcs. "Please be safe," I whispered as I finally made it to Fili. I put my hand over his heart. I felt his heart beat. I quickly called up my magic and went to work. In a matter of seconds, Fili opened his eyes. "Thank God!" I cried and helped him up as another orc attacked me. Without thinking, I used my magic to kill it. I shuddered when I realized what I had done. "I'm alive?" Fili's voice interrupted my guilt stained thoughts. I'd never used magic to kill before. I gave him a small nudge and leaned back against the rock to catch my breath. I'd never used so much magic in one day before and it was draining.

"Y/N, look!" Fili exclaimed, pointing above us. I saw Thorin fighting with the pale orc and it didn't look good. I told Fili to find his brother and to stay safe then I went to help Thorin. I saw him pacing across the ice, looking down. "Thorin," I breathed in relief. I almost smiled until I saw a jagged blade cut through the ice and Thorin's foot. I ran forward as Azog crashed through the ice and aimed to strike Thorin. I pushed Thorin out of the way and felt a sharp sting in my right side. I fell to the ground and everything went black.
