CHAPTER EIGHTEEN

4 A.M

Avu couldn't sleep that night and so she decided to go to the balcony for a while.

She saw Sidd there who was admiring the starry night,the wandering stars.

She tapped his shoulder:

Avu : Sidd?

Sidd : She was the most precious thing to me. She was more beautiful than the sunshine, more precious than gold. She was sweeter than the candy and even sweeter than the moon. She was exquisite and delightful. She was unique and special.

Avu turned him towards her direction and said:

Avu : Sidd,I know how much she meant to you, how much you loved her and how much you misses her. But this your fate. And you must move on from your past.

Sidd : I CAN'T MOVE ON FROM HER. WHY DOESN'T ANYONE UNDERSTANDS IT!?

Avu : You have to move on from her for Ruhi. And as long as you are saying that you can't move on from her then listen to me! I CAN ACTUALLY FEEL YOU. I AM IN THE SAME STATE AS YOU. I KNOW THE FEELING OF LOSING YOUR LOVED ONE. I ALSO LOST MY DEAR ONE. BUT I MOVED ON BECAUSE WE CAN'T STAY IN OUR PAST.

Sidd is shocked to see Avu shouting.

Avu calmed herself and apologized:

Avu : I am sorry. I didn't want to shout at you,but sometimes I just loose my temper.

Sidd : Uhm, yeah. It's ok. And you mentioned about loosing someone you love?

Avu : Yes. It was my brother, Jaijeet. He died when he was 14.

Tears started to stream down her face, thinking about her brother.

Sidd came closer to her and wiped her tears. Because only smile looked nice in her gorgeous little face.

Sidd : I am sorry for your lost.

Avu : It's OK. It was in my past. I have moved on.

Sidd : If you don't mind,may I ask you something?

Avu : Sure.

Sidd : When you first came to the interview, I was rude to you. When we first encountered together,I was also rude to you. In short,I was rude to you most of the times but you're still nice to me.

Avu : Yes,because you're just like coconut.

Sidd : Coconut???

Avu : Yes, hard from outside but really soft inside. I know how much you are rude to me, how much you try to act cold hearted,but you have a soft heart inside.

By this time, they both were looking straight into each other, lost and not to mention how much close they were standing.

*Background song suggested : Hone lage yeh silsile aankhon ke.*

After two minutes:

Avu : Good night. I will go to sleep.

Avu was about to go her room,when Sidd pulled her hand not wanting her to go.

Sidd : Thank you. Thank you for being a good friend to me, while I wasn't to you. But now I promise to be a good friend. To always support you and to be there for you always.

Avu (spoke softly) : There's no thank you in friendship, Mr.Siddharth.

They both simply smiled knowing this was the start of something beautiful. New bonding.

In The morning

Bell rings

Avu : Welcome back home, Ruhi. How was your trip?

Ruhi : Awesome.

Sidd : Morning Ruhi.

Ruhi started to cry.

Tears were slipping out her eyes. Seeing that, Sidd picked her up as she was crying.

Sidd : Shhhh. What happened to my pari?

Her cries got quiet but continued sobbing as Sidd rubbed her back.

Ruhi : Papa, you didn't even come to meet me when I was going to this trip.

Sidd : Sorry,sweetie. Your papa was stuck in the meeting.

As Ruhi stopped crying, Sidd put her back down, and crouched to her.

Sidd(whispered) : We'll go to the cinema today to watch your favorite cartoon, Beauty And The Beast. Okay?

Ruhi : Okay.

Avu smiled as she saw Sidd kissed Ruhi's forehead, but unable to hear what he whispered.

Ruhi : Then can we also bring Avneet di there too?

Sidd : Of course.

Ruhi(happily) : Yay. The movie night it is then.
