Siddharth On Phone : I fu**ing told her to take care of this payment but she didn't fu**ing listen to me. Get her out of this job today! And this is my order!!

"Avneet, tu toh gayi." She thought herself.

CHAPTER FIVE

After finishing his call, he went back to his chair sitting like a boss.

"He's already a boss." My subconscious mind replied.

OK, whatever.

Avneet felt a small panic in hers as she made her way to the seating where Siddharth and Ruhi were seated. As a formal, she extended her hand for a handshake to which Siddharth didn't even care.

Siddharth : And you are?

"How rude." She whispered herself.

Avneet : I am Avneet. Avneet Kaur.

Ruhi (Politely) : Please take a seat.

"Huh. I have heard people say "like father like daughter." But here is the total opposite. Kitni polite hai Ruhi utna hi rude hai Siddharth.

Siddharth : So let's start. Tell me about yourself.

NOTE : All the responses of Avneet are with confident like she is the only capable person for this job!

Avneet : I am a 23 year old with a Nanny basic skills. Since my graduation, I have worked for a child care organization and a home in my home country. During my working stints, I have helped bring up children in a respectable manner while teaching them basic life skills.

Siddharth : For how long did you stay in your last job?

Avneet : I joined Mrs. Smiths house in the summer of 2015 and attended to several duties such as taking care of the child laundry, cleaning the kid's rooms, helping with homework, taking child to school in the morning and then picking them in the evening.

Siddharth : So why did you leave the previous job?

Avneet : Ever since I joined the family, we had a great relationship with everyone, especially the kid who saw me as his big sister. But due to some of my family problems at home, I had to leave this job.

Siddharth : What makes you different from other applicants for this job?

Avneet : I believe from the other candidates, I am the most suitable person. My passion for children affairs is evident from all my past jobs.

"Wow. Impressive." Siddharth thought himself.

Siddharth : If given this job, when will you be available?

Avneet : I understand this is a full time job, and I am willing to stick to those requirements. Sometimes I could be on leave, but I understand I might be needed at any time.

Siddharth : What do you think your typical day as a nanny will look like?

Avneet : Having worked as a nanny before, I understand all the duties that I have to attend to. There is helping the kids with their homework, cooking meals, tidying their rooms etc.

Siddharth : And last question, why do you choose to become a nanny/babysitter?

Avneet : I have realized not only how much I enjoyed being around kids, but also how naturally and easily I connect with them. I understand them. But even more than that, I value them. Respect them. Despite the fact, they are not mine. Because I know they are someone's child. Someone's whole world and it's such an honor to be apart of their small lives even for a brief of time.

Siddharth : Thank you. You shall be contacted in your phone.

Avneet leaves. She felt such a relief after finishing the interview. There was just something which told her that she would get that job.

Siddharth's POV:

After finishing the call, I went to sit in my chair when the last applicant came in. The face peeking out was a girl of about 22 or 23. She smiled in the way girls do when they're masking nervousness. She extended her arms for a handshake but to which I ignored. Since, I had fallen for Reem, I had dared not to touch a girl be it either my Ruhi's babysitter or anyone else.

This young woman wore it like a second skin. Before each question she paused, head tilted to one side just a smidge, and then she delivered an articulate answer.

Her long dark hair was swept into an up-do and her make-up was well applied. Even in twenty years she'd look much the same save for a few fine smile lines as she approached middle-age. Her skin had a honeyed glow and her lips were full.

She was so confident which I had never seen in any of the interviews and she had that spirit in hers which showed only she was capable of this job and she is. As far as I can consider, she can be perfect for Ruhi.

Ruhi : Papa? Papa?

Siddharth : Haan?

Ruhi : What are you thinking?

Siddharth : Just that, Avneet is capable of this job. What do you think?

Ruhi : Haan. Papa. I was about to say the same. She's perfect. I already love her.
