CHAPTER TWENTY

Avu : Ruhi, drink milk, and I will send you to school.

Ruhi : No, I don't like milk.

Avu : Ruhi, you must drink milk.

Ruhi : No. I don't want to drink.

Avu : Ruhi, I said na. You must drink it.

Ruhi : No, I said no.

Ruhi ran away from her. Avu put down the glass of milk and chase her.

Avu : Ruhi!

Ruhi : No! I don't want to drink.

Avu was running to chase her, but her bad luck. She accidentally slipped onto something and was about to fall down. She closed her eyes but when she opened back, she was wrapped in two strong muscular hands.

Her eyes met the most beautiful pairs of Brown eyes. He was a brown eyed angel. He was just something else for her. She could just stare at his eyes forever.

Avu : Uhm. I --- I am--- so---sorry.

Sidd(smiles) ; No sorry in friendship.

Avu simply smiled.

Then, Sidd diverted his attention to Ruhi in fake anger.

Sidd(faking anger) : Ruhi, what was all this?

Ruhi (low voice): Woh papa,I did not want to drink milk.

Sidd : how many times did I tell you, you should drink milk! Now go and drink milk now. And also don't trouble your Avneet Di like that next time.

Ruhi : OK,papa. Sorry😞

Sidd : Good girl.

Avu : Come on Ruhi.

They both went back to the room, and Ruhi not so willingly drank milk.

In The Evening

Ruhi is back from her school and totally confused about what to write in her essay.

Avu : Do you need help, Ruhi.

Ruhi : Yes, Avneet di. Please

Avu sat beside her.

Avu : So tell me what's the essay about?

Ruhi : Dad. We have to write about Dad in a small passage.

Avu closed her eyes and said what came from her heart.

Avu : The father - the righteous man who walks in integrity. A dad is someone who wants to catch you before you fall, but instead picks you up, brushes off, and let's you try again. A dad is someone who wants to keep you from making mistakes but instead lets you find your own way, even though his heart breaks in silence when you get hurt. A dad is someone who holds you when you cry, scolds you when you break the rules, shines with pride when you succeed, and has faith in you when you fail. Dads are most ordinary men, turned by love into hero adventures, story- tellers and and singers of song. And the girl loves their dad the most because she know at least there is a man in the world who wouldn't hurt them.

Ruhi : Wow this is awesome. I will bring you water as you must be tired.

Avu : OK.

After a minute, Ruhi opened the door to see Avu unconscious.

Ruhi : AHHHHHH

Sidd who was already home, ran to Ruhi's room hearing the scream and hugs her tightly.

Sidd : What happened Ruhi?

Ruhi points to the unconscious Avu.

Sidd checked her pulse, her heart beat and everything was normal. And so he called his family doctor.

20 minutes later:

Sidd : What happened to her doctor?

Doctor : Nothing to worry about. She has low blood pressure and she must take her medications every day. But seems like she hasn't been drinking medicine for a week now which resulted in her to be weak and faint. I have given her injection and she will be awake soon. I have also written her medicines and please give her every day.

Sidd : OK, doctor.

Sidd thanked god in relief.

After the doctor left, Sidd slowly opened the door and went inside. Avu was sleeping. Sidd sat next to her on bed.

Sidd : Get well soon, Avu.

He said as he held her hand. She was too holding it back even though she was sleeping. Then, slowly her lifted her hand and kissed her hand.

In the morning.

Avu had waken up and well today Sidd was taking all the responsibility. First, he made her and Ruhi a light breakfast and the next thing, Sidd also sent Ruhi to her school and dragged Avu to his office. He knew she won't take care of herself while at home but instead be busy in the house chores.

At Office

Avu : Sidd, I told you. I am okay. I want to go home.

Sidd : no, you won't.

Avu : please.

Sidd's phone rings:

Girl : Sir, there is a girl who claims to be your friend and is forcefully trying to get in your room.

Sidd : What's her name?

Girl : She said her name to be .........

Sidd (sighs) : let her in.

And just after saying that, the door opened and the girl put herself in Sidd's arms.

Girl (crying out loud) : Sidd!
