We left the event close to the end. Archie and I each entrusted with the responsibility of taking our drunk partners home. "No fucking way. Cheetos with lime are second best to the original!" Nathan slurred, nearly tripping off the curb. "Careful!" I hissed, my own vision skewed. That hard kombucha had done me in.

Nevertheless, I was still the more lucid one between us. Not to say that Nathan was a lightweight. Not at all; he was just...smaller. "You've got the taste buds of a fish!" Jade countered as Archie did his best to tug her in the opposite direction. With a silent goodbye from the other chaparon, we parted ways as  we escorted our drunkies home.

Nathaniel barely made it through the door before crashing into the side table by the entrance, nearly toppling it over. "Be careful!" I scolded again like a mother hen as I kept him upright. "You worry too much." He mumbled leaning his weight against the island in the middle of our kitchenette.

"You need to drink water." I urged as I reached for the cabinet where  our bottles were kept. "Room temperature? Yuck." Nathan protested. "The cold could go to your head, now drink." I countered, breaking the seal on the cap to make it easier for him.

Nathan groaned but took the bottle anyway, chugging half of its contents. I went ahead and grabbed one for myself, but paused when I noticed him fiddling with his shirt collar.

"You okay?" I asked, making my way back to where he stood. "Stuffy. Need air." He admitted but was unable to undo any buttons in his inebriated state. "You're hopeless..." I said with a sigh, placing my bottle on the counter so I could aid him. I focused on loosening his vest first.

"You were great out there today." I complimented mindlessly, my thoughts spilling out. "The way you dance is incredible." He glanced away, that familiar flush climbing back to his cheeks. "Thank you." He responded softly. There was a pause between us.

"Though if I'm being honest..." I resumed, moving on to the buttons of his shirt.

"I was a little jealous."
He blinked in disbelief. "Jealous?" He questioned as if to test his hearing ability. "It wasn't because I don't trust you, rather..." I paused again. "Because I wanted to be the one you were looking at."

Nathan stared at me doe-eyed and for a second, I feared that he hadn't heard me. Once I'd finished undoing the last button, my buzzy vision wandered and came to rest on the planes of Nathaniel's toned chest. The silver chain that adorned it asencuated the dip of hid neck and collarbone. Hot

I looked up, a bit flustered only to be greeted by his lovesick expression. That gaze, roused something deep within me; A desire that I hadn't realized existed. I swallowed thickly when his eyes dipped and trained themselves on my mouth.

I couldn't help the self-satisfied grin that stretched my lips. "Lost something?" I teased but was caught off guard when Nate curled his arms around my neck and pulled me down firmly into a feverish kiss.

The warmth of his mouth inundated my senses. Soon, I found my hands moving on their own, tracing the planes of his bare chest and sides. With a quick motion, I lifted him onto the island  the elevation making it easier to kiss. After a few seconds, I broke away from the kiss, an urgent need to breathe. Nathan had hastily began undoing the buttons of my shirt. I didn't try to stop him.

A shamefully loud gasp escaped my throat when Nathan pulled me in and pressed his lips on my neck. "Fuck." Another embarrassing sound filled the room when he sucked on the sensetive skin. He pulled back once he'd left his mark.

We stared at each other breathlessly for a moment, the steady buzzing of the lamp above us the only sound to be heard. I yelped when Nathan pounced on me from the island, causing me to stagger back onto the table at the edge of the kitchen as I caught him.

I leaned my weight against it as we kissed, only shifting when the wood began to creak. With eyes closed and lips locked, I managed to lead us unsteadly towards the bedroom. I pressed Nathan's back against the closed door and buried my own face in his neck. By now, my shirt also hung open, allowing him access to my bare torso as well. Nathan moaned when he felt my mouth on his neck, his fingers tugging at the hair on the nape of my neck.

The door swung open when I turned the knob, allowing us to stumble into the darkened room. I kept ahold of his waist so he wouldn't fall as I led him over to the tall mattress. Nathan fell onto the bed when we reached the edge, shirt and vest messily splayed out to his sides. His chest was covered in diminute scars. The way it heaved up and down gave away just how breathless I'd left him. His face was flushed.

I halted at the foot of the bed, the sight sending my blood pressure through the roof. The jeans Nathan wore failed to hide his excitement; his expression was dazed, and his lips swollen from all the nibbling and sucking I'd done.

He was perfect.

Like a painting, carefully crafted and detailed with the finest of brushes. Only a fool would pass up the opportunity to be with someone like him. That's why the words that left my lips a few seconds after surprised even me.

"I...I can't." What the hell was I saying!? Nathan's face immediately fell, his emerald eyes rounding themselves as much as they could; like a puppy. "You... don't want to?" He asked, the mere question offensive.

"How could I not want to!? You're...you're perfect!" I admitted, the words sounding cornier than I would've liked. "But it's because I want to that I'd rather do it...sober." I admitted.

Yes. My subconscious agreed. I wanted nothing more than to mark every single one of those scars with a kiss. I wanted to smother him with affection and make his body feel good. I wanted to hear every kind of sound he could make with un-tainted ears.

My eyes shifted back to where he laid now, fast asleep. I smiled, crawling into the bed beside him.
Halfway through the night however, I forced myself to shower. I had to. There was no way I'd sleep otherwise.

I changed and made sure Nathan was securely tucked in before making my way to the living room and settling down on the couch for the night. Not trusting myself beside a half-naked and drunk Nathan.
