The moment I woke up the next morning, I checked my phone to see if he had come.

Nope.

I changed into some decent clothes after the shower, brushed my raven black hair and grabbed an apple from the fruit basket as I opted to find my laptop over a proper breakfast.

In these two days, I kinda lost my appetite.

This feeling I was feeling was too strong and unhealthy but I couldn't stop this no matter how hard I tried.

or maybe I liked this feeling?

As soon as I found my laptop I headed back to my room as I slid inside the warm covers I logged into Stelp.
I decided to give my page a total makeover. I wanted it to look good.

I wanted it to look different. The kind of different,  where it'd stand out.

And so I did all that could be done to make it a little more appealing.

I saw I had over hundred of friend requests.

I was feeling superior. For the first time, I was feeling important.

And I never wanted to lose this status.

This significance.

I was still trying to comprehend the conversation I had moments ago.

Nothing made sense.

Why would he text me when we never had a proper conversation in the group itself?

What did he mean by 'be careful'?

My mind was clouded with questions and confusion.

The beeping sound of my phone snapped me out of my thoughts.

Something in my heart told me it was Austin.

Maybe it wasn't at all what I was thinking.

I can be so paranoid sometimes.

As my eyes darted at the reply for my text, it seemed like the air hit me right in the face. My stomach dropped and a blanket of dismal spread over my senses like fire burning all the butterflies of ecstasy.

His one reply was enough to snap me back to reality from the fairy tale I was knitting in my mind.

His casual reply made me feel so ordinary.

He didn't even miss me.

Then it hit me,

Maybe,

It was me all along, maybe he never liked me more than just a friend.

Then my inner voice whispered-

Was I in too deep to get out?
