Pokémon Reunion

The next morning, Ash got out of bed & went downstairs

"Morning honey." Delia greeted

"Morning Mom." Ash said

"Morning Ash." Jessie & James said

"Morning Jessie & James." Ash said

After they had breakfast

"Ash, there's something we want to talk to you about." James said

"What's that?" Ash asked

"Well, since we've quit Team Rocket, we thought it would be a good idea to give you our Pokémon including Meowth." Jessie said

"You're giving me your Pokémon?" Ash said surprisingly

"Yes, we also thought it would get you started on getting new Pokémon." James said

"Are you sure?" Ash said as they both nodded

"Ash, why don't you take Mimey with you?" Delia said "You can train him along with your other Pokémon."

"But I only caught Mr. Mime for you, Mom." Ash said

"But I never said you couldn't use him in last year's Indigo Plateau Conference, did I?" Delia said

"No." Ash said

"Honey, just because he lives here doesn't mean I'm keeping him from you." Delia said "Besides, You & Mimey need to spend more time with each other."

"Yeah, I guess you're right." Ash said

After Ash, Jessie, James, Meowth, & Mimey went outside. Jessie & James sent out Arbok, Weezing, Lickitung, & Victreebel

"Everyone, we have a bit of news for you." Jessie said "Since we quit Team Rocket, we decided it would be best to give you to Ash."

"We know that this might be a bit of a surprise, but there's no need to worry." James said "Ash is gonna take good care of you & make sure to listen to him, okay?"

The Pokémon nodded & Ash returned them to their Poké Balls & went to the lab. When he arrived

"Hey Professor." Ash said as he entered

"Hello Ash, I thought you were going to the Johto Region." Oak said

"I was, but I decided to stay here & train for the next Indigo Plateau Conference." Ash said

"Well, I think that's a wonderful idea." Oak said "By the way, where's Misty & Brock?"

"They went back home to Pewter City & Cerulean City." Ash said "Gym Leader duties."

"Oh, guess you're on your own, huh?" Oak said as Ash nodded "Well, at least you have Tracey here to keep you company

"Tracey's still here?" Ash asked

"Yes, he has become my assistant." Oak said "Anyway, there's a big number of Pokémon wanting to see you. Come with me."

"Okay." Ash said as he turned to his new Pokémon. "You guys stay here until I get back."

"You got it, Boss." Meowth said as the Pokémon nodded

When Ash went outside, his Bulbasaur approached him.

"Bulba." Bulbasaur greeted

"Hey Bulbasaur, can you call everyone here?" Ash asked

"Saur." Bulbasaur nodded

After Bulbasaur used Solar Beam as a signal, not only did Ash saw his Pokémon, he saw a Pidgeot, a normal & pink Butterfree, a Primeape, a Haunter, a Gastly, a Clefairy, a Jigglypuff, a Fearow, a Pikachu, a Kabuto, a Kabutops, an Omanyte, an Omastar, an Aerodactyl, an Ivysaur, a Wartortle, a Magnemite, a Slowking, & a Growlithe

"Hello, Chosen One." The Slowking said

"Hey, you're the talking Slowking from Shamouti Island." Ash said

"I am, it's good to see you." Slowking said

"& I'm sure you remember me." The Gastly said

"Yeah, you're the Gastly from Maiden's Peak." Ash said

"Correct." Gastly said

"Ash, I'm familiar with Slowking & Jigglypuff, but do you know the rest of these Pokémon?" Tracey asked

"Yes, these are the Pokémon I met on my journey through Kanto & a few of them are actually mine." Ash said

Ash explained about the Pokémon he met through Kanto. The Pidgeot was his Pidgeot who he released & promised to come back, the Butterfree & Pink Butterfree was his Butterfree & his mate, the Primeape was another one of his Pokémon who he left to another trainer named Anthony, the Haunter was the same one he met in the Pokémon Tower at Lavender Town & gave to Sabrina, the Clefairy was the same one he met on Mt. Moon, the Fearow was the same one he met twice & he threw a rock at it when it was a Spearow, Ash apologized to Fearow & it accepted the apology. The Ivysaur was one of the Ivysaur Ash met in the Mysterious Garden, the Wartortle was the same one he met on Squirtle Island, the Magnemite was the same one he met at Gringy City, the Pikachu was one the Pikachu he saved along with its group, the Growlithe was actually James' Growlithe & lastly, the Kabuto, Kabutops, Omanyte, Omastar, & Aerodactyl were the same ones Ash met at Grampa Canyon.

"So, what're you all doing here?" Ash asked

"We all have come here to join & rejoin you." Slowking said

"All except Growlithe." Gastly said "He came here for your help to look for his trainer James."

"Oh, speaking of James, I have some news for you guys." Ash said

Ash told the Pokémon about Jessie, James, & Meowth, & the Pokémon were shocked that the trio were at Ash's house the whole time when he was traveling through the Orange Islands. Most of Ash's soon-to-be Pokémon along with his current Pokémon had scowls on their faces.

"Listen everyone, I know this comes as a shock & most of you don't like it, but they haven't done anything to hurt Mom for the past year." Ash said

"Mime Mime." Mimey agreed

"We don't have to forgive, but we need to give them a chance since they had quit Team Rocket." Ash said "They also gave me their Pokémon including Meowth."

The Pokémon were reluctant at first, but they agreed to give them a chance. After Ash came back with Meowth, Arbok, Weezing, Lickitung, & Victreebel, they apologized for what they did in the past. The Pokémon accepted the apology but they weren't willing to trust them yet

"Alright everyone, I've decided to stay here & train for the next Indigo Plateau Conference." Ash said "Last time, we were a bit unprepared, now it's time for us to get serious."

The Pokémon nodded in agreement.

"Okay, I'm gonna take Growlithe to the house, I'll be right back." Ash said

After Ash arrived back at the house

"James?" Ash said

"Ash, what're you doing back here?" Delia asked

"I'm here to see James, where is he?" Ash said

"He's in the backyard." Delia said

When Ash got to the backyard, he saw James tending to the garden

"Hey James, I have someone who's here to see you." Ash said

"Hm?" James said as he turned & saw his Growlithe "Growlie?"

"Growl!" Growlie barked happily as it ran towards James

"Growlie!" James said happily as he hugged Growlie

"Growlie came to Oak's ranch to look for you." Ash said

"Thank you very much for reuniting me with my best friend." James said gratefully

"You're welcome, James." Ash said "Well, I'm off to train, I'll see you later."

"Good luck." James said

"Growl." Growlie said
