~+Edd's House+~

Edd woke up the next morning pretty excited. He wanted to get Matt to text Tom so they could all hangout like old times!

While he goes make breakfast downstairs while waiting for the ginger, a certain Norwegian is in his room contemplating about the blue wearing British man.

'Has he been working for the police since he's left?' He thinks as his eyes shifts to look around the room. "This could be dangerous for me..." Tord mumbles to himself.

Since he's the Leader of the Red Army and all, Tom's connection to the police would be dangerous yet... Tord can't help but feel a thrill of excitement rush through him.

'Maybe if I play my cards right I can get on his good side. The army could use more information on what the police have on us...'

Making up his mind, Tord smirks to himself.

'Useful.'

Back with Edd, he sat beside Matt on the couch watching him text Tom with excitement. The British policeman on the other end of the phone was fast enough to reply much to their joy.

Tom: Hey Matt, I'm just got on break right now. You caught me at a good time to chat for awhile.

Matt: That's good! Edd's right next to me ^^ He's been so excited to finally contact you about hanging out soon.

Tom: Hi Edd ^^ You're really that excited to hangout, huh? Matt you can turn this into a group chat so Edd can text with us.

Matt looks to Edd as he pulls out his phone quick with a chuckle escaping his lips. The ginger adds the brunet to the conversation so he can text along with them.

Matt added Edd

Edd: Hi Tom!!! So when can we hangout? :3

Tom smiles softly seeing Edd excited text during his break in the break room. He quickly adds Matt's and Edd's nicknames he associated them with.

Tom: Anytime next week sounds good. I got the whole week off thanks to my boss for a job well done for bringing the shooter from the museum back.

Cola Boy: Then how about Monday or Tuesday! No wait! Let's hangout the whole week!"

MirrorMirror: Geez Edd calm down, I'm sure Tom's laughing at the other end of this conversation.

Which, in fact, is true. "Wow Edd, you are just too cute for words." His best friend maybe great in certain situations but he's still a little kid from time to time. One that gets so excited over something they've wanted for a long time.

Tom: I don't mind hanging out all week, it would be nice to catch up with the both of you.

Edd suddenly remembers their should be one more person who should be added to the conversation. Sticking his tongue out he types in a certain number and smiles. When he adds the person to the conversations.

Cola Boy added Tord

Tord: Hm? What's this?

Tom frowns when Tord is added to the conversation. A tingle in his throat reminds him to take caution of talking to the man in red. He quickly changes Tord's name into a cover name.

Tom: Would look at the time, my break is about to end.

Cola Boy: But you just said a few minutes ago you just got on break.

He's right he did just get on break recently. Curse himself for telling his two friends that little detail.

Tom: Fine you caught me, but I do have to go back to work sooner or later.

Commie: Stay and chat with us more Jehovah's Witness, I just got here too. So let's talk about something interesting.

Tom: Mhmm with you, no. With Edd and Matt, yes.

Commie: Come on, we can all talk together, like old time.

Cola Boy: Yeah!

Okay, Tom had to hand it to Matt. The ginger really knew how to not speak with words about how he himself knew why Tom doesn't want to continue the group conversation with Tord now added into the chat.

"Tom?"

The police officer looks up from his phone to see Jayden looking down at him holding a cup of coffee in his hand. Smiling, Tom puts down his phone for a moment. "Hey Jay, you on break too?"

"Yeah, just got on break actually." He gestures his hand to the free chair across from Tom. "Mind if I accompany you on your break?"

A small blush raises on his cheeks at how gentlemanly he's been right now. He chuckles nothing less and nods his head, "Be my guest." Now his phone is completely forgotten to the side of him as begins conversing with his former partner in the police force.

They caught up about their job positions, what case they've been working on recently, and what they've been doing as of late. Apparently Jayden got a recent case about some random shoplifter needed to handled with since the culprits been at it for a month or two now. Tom his self got a stalker case he needs to look into from the victim herself. A shy woman from what he could tell which made Tom want to help her all the more.

"So about the movie date..."

Tom raises an brow at him, "Oh so you're offering the movie as a date now?" He says in an amused tone a teasing smile graces his lips at the change in topic.

Jayden blushes a little himself while he rubs the back of his neck nervously, "Well it could be- or would you rather want to go as friends? Any thing you want Tom, really... I just want you to feel comfortable."

It had to melt Tom's heart a little that his former partner is being kind to think of his comfort. "Thanks Jay and I think I'm free this Friday. We could watch the movie then, as friends."

"Of course! Sounds like a great plan to me!" Mentally cheering in his head about accomplishing to get to go to the movies with Tom.

Tom laughs a bit until he's interrupted with ringing and vibrations from his phone on the table. He picks up the phone to see the label 'Cola Boy Calling' on his phone screen to video chat. The police officer slides the answer call and see Edd's face happily greeting him.

"Tom! Wow you really are at work!" Edd fakes a gasp of surprise seeing his friend in his police uniform.

The brunet gave him a skeptical look, "You thought I was lying?"

"Nah, I always believe you Tom." Edd laughs, "Well sometimes depending on the situation."

Jayden moves into the screen with Tom giving Edd a smiling greeting. "Hey, nice to meet you." The head officer waves at the other man on the screen.

Edd gasps and grins, "Tom is this who your friend was talking about yesterday?! The one who brought you roses?" He's really happy to see the man who is catching his best friend's heart.

Jayden gives Tom a look, who blushes lightly with an angry pout. "Edd!"

Edd laughs and so does Matt as he joins Edd on the screen. They both seem to be sitting on the couch to be what looks like from the living room. Being a police officer has made him even more observant to be able to make better conclusions.

All the laughter brought curiosity from Tord who had been sitting in the kitchen. He got up from his seat, bring a glass of water with him as he heads to the living room to see what's up.

"What's going on?"

Edd turns his head over his shoulder to look at his boyfriend. "We're video chatting with Tom." He whispers as Matt talks to the two on the phone. "Apparently the guy who like him is here too."

At the mention of the person of interest towards Tom he couldn't help but feel annoyed. He leans down to get into the screen with Edd and Matt.

"So this is the guy?" Not really sounding impressed.

Tom, on the other side of the screen with Jayden, freezes for a moment. He wills himself to act normal while Tord's on screen, silently wishing those flower petals stay down.

"Name's Jayden."

"Tord." The man in Red said back simply. The look on his face not very impressed at the other man next to Tom.

"Anyways, I was just talking to Jay about watching that new movie coming out this Friday."

Matt and Edd we're giving him that scandalous look before wiggling their eyebrows in suggestion to Tom. The police captain blushes red, "It's not a date guys!"

"It's date."

"It's totally a date, Matt."

While the two men tease their friend, Tord clears his throat. Tom looks to him for a moment before averting his gaze again.

"How about you guys join us?" Tom offers trying to get his two best friends to stop.

"Aww~ But we don't want to interrupt your date." Edd teases.

Jayden laughs, "If it makes Tom feel any better, we're just going as friends. We already discussed this before you called." Being a good guy, Tom's coworker tries to help him tone everything down a bit. "Tom hasn't said yes to any date requests yet."

The brunet hits his shoulder playfully. "Jay!"

"What else can I say? It's true." The head police officer jokes with a laugh.

Tord kept a steady glare at Jayden as the video chat continued. "If you guys really don't mind, then I guess we can join." Edd says as Matt let's him hold the phone. "Then we get to know your friend here better."

"Really Edd, I don't mind if you and Matt come along with us to the movie." Tom says agreeinly as he sets the camera back on him. Jay gets up from his set to go get something to drink and maybe a snack. "I'm sure jay doesn't mind either," seeing as the other shoes him a thumbs up before leaving.

"Well if your both sure then we'll take up on that offer." Edd says with a defeated sigh, but smiles nothing less. He's rather happy to see Tom's stubborn side still with him.

"So where did Jayden go? We can't see him anymore." Matt asks filling a bit more of the camera on Tom's phone.

Tom looks over to the officer at the counter buying coffee probably. "He went to go buy a drink. Jay will back in a bit."

Tord in spot in the camera stays quite. He's looking at Tom smiling and talking to Edd and Matt with so much emotion. He's never really seen Tom so happy before... not to him anyways.

"Edd," Tord says almost like a harsh whisper.

None the less, Edd hear him and looks back to see his boyfriend's forced expression while his hand around the cup revealed his tight grip. "Um," Edd quickly looks back to Tom and gives him a forced smile.

"Excuse me for a moment Tom! I gotta go check on an email for some manuscripts for my animations this coming month. I'll be right back."

Edd hands the phone to Matt who takes the phone with some surprise.

Tord forced a smile, "I'll come help you, love."

The two of them disappear from Tom's phone screen when they head for the stairs. Their footsteps fading as they went away.

Matt looks back at his friend with an apologetic expression. He brings his legs up on the couch and hugs his knees to his chest.

"As usual."

"As usual," Tom replies with a soften, yet sad expression. He brings his hand up and coughs up an inch in his throat. Pink Camellia petals innocently rested in the palm of his hand.

Matt looks at them for a moment until he meets Tom's eyes.

"Longing for you."

Tom closes his eyes and takes a deep breath before letting it out. He opens his eyes once more to see Matt's concerned look.

"Tom, I'm worried about you."

"I know Matt," Tom says with a tired smile. "But don't worry... I'm still trying to move on."

Matt really is concerned for the friend he treats like a brother. He doesn't want to lose him for the sake of everyone who loves Tom no matter the relationship.

"If you ever do decided to go through with the surgery, don't hesitate to call me. I promise myself I would be with you every step of the way." The ginger assure trying to smile himself.

For that, Tom is really greatful to be Matt's friend even after all the mean thing he's said or done to him.

"Thank you Matt."

Tom throws the petals away by a nearby trash after wiping his hands. Jayden comes back with two drinks in his hands and gives one to Tom who thanks him kindly.

They continue talking with Matt for a while longer until it's time for Tom to return to work. Edd and Tord never did come back down, but Tom didn't mind.

He needed to stay focus.

He needed to distract himself.

Tom flinches when Jayden places a hand on his shoulder. He black eyes meeting green ones for a moment all too slow.

"Relax a little while longer Tom."

"But-"

"Nope! As your Captain, I am ordering you to take a breather for a while longer." Jayden looking at him with loving concern. He wasn't about to let his crush work when his head seems to be somewhere else. "You seem distracted... so please take a longer break for me. I don't want you hurting yourself."

Tom sighs and smiles more naturally a bit for Jayden.

"I swear your such a papa bear sometimes."

"What can I say," Jayden grins proudly. "I just want the best for everyone."

"I can see why they gave you the father figure title even before I came here." Tom thinks something over for a bit before he asks Jayden to bend down a bit.

"Wha-"

The blue officer places a kiss on the captain's cheek who instantly became a frozen, stuttering mess.

Tom smiles playfully and bops his index finger on his former partner's nose.

"Thanks Jay, but I think I'm fine now."
