SUMMARY:

Arana O'Regan loved the quiet things. The way the sun shone through her window, the way the stars looked like tiny diamonds in a big black blanket, or the sound of her muffled breaths as she hid from the guards in the narrow airshafts of the Ark. The quiet was no stranger to her. It greeted her everytime she entered her apartment and found her dad passed out on the couch, once again drowning his sorrows in alcohol. Her jobs were quiet as well, just her in the dead of night running another errand for Nygel. That was, after all, the deal she made. Her service in exchange for alcohol.

Nothing had been the same since her mother passed away, but Arana had learned to live with the circumstances. During the day both her and her father pretended everything was fine, but at night he drowned in his bottles and she greeted the quiet once again as she disappeared into the corners of the space station.

But the volume in her life was about to be turned up, the quiet illusion of peace shattered by a storm of a boy. The day Arana met Bellamy Blake she knew she was in trouble and suddenly her life was so incredibly loud, filled with sounds she never knew. All she was sure of anymore, was that she would do everything to make sure the quiet never returned, even if it meant that she had to follow him to the radioactive earth below.

NOTES:

- Arana grew up in the poorer sections of the Ark. She's always been rather reserved and keeps to herself mostly, which is why she doesn't have a lot of friends. Except for Monty and Jasper, who she often goes to because of the errands she runs for Nygel. She's very witty and smart but also very reserved. She likes to observe rather than interfere so please keep that in mind when writing her. I would prefer it if you didn't change the faceclaim or her name.

- When Arana was about ten her mother died from cancer, which the poorer sections of the Ark can't get a proper treatment for. Her father has been struggling with an alcohol addiction ever since. He doesn't abuse Arana, isn't mean or anything like that. He's a very broken man with a very serious addiction. And because Arana cares for him deeply, seeing as he's the only family she has left, she makes a deal with Nygel. She provides the alcohol for her father and in return Arana does errands for her.

- Arana is very good at avoiding the guards, knowing all the corners of the Ark to hide in. She's also very petite which is why she fits in the airshafts of the space station, which she often uses to escape. On one of her errands she tries to sneak past a guard, but she's discovered and the guard chases her and catches up with her. It's Bellamy, who just started his training as part of the guard. Arana tells him that no one has been able to catch her before and then hits him the face and manages to escape.

- After that she keeps running into Bellamy and it becomes a game to her to try and keep out of his hands. She likes teasing him while making her escape and it frustrates him, but he secretly enjoys it as well. One night when Arana is seated for a window on the Ark, looking at the stars as she often likes to do and Bellamy comes to sit next to her, promising her he only wants to talk. And so they become friends.

- When the 100 are about to be send down, Bellamy comes to Arana, rambling on about some sort of plan and not knowing if he can go through with it. He doesn't want to say much more to Arana to protect her and leaves abruptly. Arana, follows him and figures out that the 100 are being send down and then she realises he wants to join because of Octavia. She then decides to sneak aboard the ship. Not just because of Bellamy, but also because she knows Monty and Jasper are being send down. She doesn't know what Bellamy did to get aboard the ship.

- On the ground she joins Monty and Jasper and the others to the journey to Mount Weather and she promise Bellamy she'll look out for Octavia. Tensions between her and Bellamy do start to rise because when Clarke tells them the Ark is dying, Arana wants her father to come down and so refuses to take her wristband off.

- Bellamy and Arana should be a little bit of a slowburn, since they both have trouble opening themselves up. What I had in mind is that Arana gives him a "goodluck" kiss in the series finale before the battle starts and then she's taken by the mountain men. It's up to you if you want her to escape with Clarke or stay with the others and be reunited with Bellamy later.

- I also had an idea for season 3 to change as little as possible about Bellamy's arc. Arana is in Mount Weather when it blows up, which makes Bellamy think she's dead, but actually she managed to hide in the airshafts ( a little throwback to her stunts on the Ark ) and manages to climb outside through the vents.

- Her father comes down with Abby and Kane and so she does see him again. I do want their relationship to slowly heal and her father to slowly get better. But do take your time with it and let them work to try and mend it.

- You can write as much seasons as you want, of course. This story has been in my drafts since I first watched the 100 and I've made an outline for season 1-3 so if you need some more ideas for some specific scenes, you can always ask me!
