Natsu pov

I am so pissed off at what Zerif did to Mavis I mean I knew he was a bad guy but what he did crossed the line. I walk over to get Lucy so we can go home but just before I call out her name I hear the first talking to Lucy about something that sounded important. I sneak behind the bar and listen into the conversation.

Lucy pov

"What's wrong with Natsu?" I ask almost in a pleading tone of voice. Mavis bows her head down, "what I am going to say to you is going to be hard but no matter what don't tell anyone except Makarov!" I nod my head my heart squeezing from worry. "You know that Zerif has a book called end right?" Mavis asks. I nod again, "well before Zerif turned evil he was trying to bring his little brother back to life which is a forbidden magic." "In his search for something to bring back his brother he had been cursed as punishment for using magic to bring back the dead." "He had finally got his brother to live once again sadly though the price was too high Zerif could not love or care for anything because if he did everything would be killed around him." As I am listening my heart sinks into a stabbing feeling in my chest I know where this is heading but I want to be wrong. "Zerif had to keep his brother safe and away from him so he gave him to the dragon king of fire igneel to learn dragon slaying magic this little boy Lucy is Natsu!" "No this can't be Natsu is not I mean he can't be Zerifs brother, I cry out confused!" "Lucy I know this is hard to understand but please listen there is more than Natsu being Zerifs little brother it gets much worse I am afraid." "The book of END has the letters end standing for Etherious Natsu Dragneel, Zerif had made it so Natsu would be strong enough to kill him however while he was waiting to be killed he had created other demons that were strong but not strong enough!" "Lucy Zerif only wanted to have his little brother back, he wanted to do good but others did not see it that way, he is what you would call a tragic story!" I can't move my body it is as hard and stiff as stone I cant even cry because if I did it would mean I accepted that Natsu is end and will be the destruction of the world I cant and won't except that outcome. "What can we do to stop this from happening?" I ask panicking! "The only thing we can do is try to make sure Natsu does not see Zerif again" Mavis replies with tears in her eyes. I only nod my head in silence dejected from the information I heard.

Natsu pov

After the conversation was over I had a bunch of mixed feelings mostly rage and sadness I can't believe this Zerif is my older brother. I was dead and he brought me back to life and as a result was cursed for using forbidden magic but to top it all off I am the main creation END!!! I want to be in denial I don't want to be the cause for my friends, family and the worlds demise!!! I know the first said I should not see Zerif but I feel I have to I am sorry Lucy and everyone but I promise I will protect you! I run home and write a note to say goodbye I head tawrds the door but before I can open it I hear a little squeaky yawn behind me. I turn and see Seika rubbing the sleep from her eyes and holding a stuffed dragon I had bought for her she squeezed the little purple dragon tight to her chest. "Daddy what's wrong are you okay?" she asks worried. I ruffle her pink long silky hair and give her a kiss on her forehead "I am ok my little spitfire I am just going to go on a little quest ok so don't worry" I reply to her. "Oh" her eyes light up with excitement "so does that mean mommy is going with you and aunt levy will watch over us!" No it will only be me going mommy will stay with you guys" I reply in a lonely tone of voice. Seika smiles brightly "okay daddy be safe!" She runs and jumps on me kissing my forehead then jumps back down looking a little bit worried "pinky promise me you will come back home daddy" I smile and bend down locking my pinky with her tiny one "I promise" I reply back with a defeated smile. Seika looks at me one last time runs a little and then spins stopping to wave goodbye. "Bye bye daddy I love you" she spins around again running back into her room. I whisper "I love you too" and then head out the door.
