Ryoto knew he had to find allies. He started going around villages, asking if anyone shared the same opinions as Ryoto and if they were willing to join him.

So far he found 5 loyal dragons. He found Diaval first. He was a jet-black dragon, with piercing amber eyes. He strongly despised the Great Lunar War. He wished there were no deaths. Afterwards, he found Firnen. The dark-green dragon was Saphira's brother. He was devastated after learning that Saphira had been murdered. He wanted to avenge his sister's death. Then he saw Longwei. The pink dragon had hated Haru and Lord Kaito ever since they were crowned. She wanted to rip them apart with her claws. Then he befriended Haku. The white dragon with a light spring green mane. Haku felt sorry for all of the Lunar Dragons. His grandmother had been a Lunar Dragon, and had been murdered. He also wanted to avenge his grandmother's death. And finally, he met Leviathan. He was a giant, silver and dark-blue dragon. He had control of the water. He wanted to wipe the leaders off the planet.

Ryoto knew that he would need an entire army. He asked the five dragons to gather up the dragons that wanted to join. They agreed immediately.

Day after day, his father sent many generals to fetch Ryoto. First he sent General Attor. Then he sent General Maleficent. Then General Chua. They were all killed by Haru's very own claws.

Ryoto grew restless. He needed the army. He needed to overthrow Lord Kaito and his own father, Haru. Even though he was just a small dragonet, he had a great dream—a dream not like Lord Kaito's or his father's.

He paced by his den, breathing heavily. Kato watched him with curious eyes. Ryoto knew that the deaths of Dagahra, Attor, Maleficent, and Chua were all his fault. And they were all murdered by his own father.

He wanted to rip his father's handsome face into shreds.

He wanted to slash Lord Kaito's perfect neck.

He wanted them to die.

The more he thought about his revenge, the more excited he got. He was going to make them pay for all of the Lunar Dragons. His mother, Dagagra, Attor, Maleficent, and Chua.

"Lord Ryoto!" A dragon bounded up. Rhaegal, her dark-green scales shimmering in light, stopped by his side. Rhaegal was Dagahra's sister. Rhaegal followed Ryoto immediately. "We just recruited Coatl, Dracul, and Thorn."

The three dragons stepped up. Ryoto nodded to each dragon. "We need all of your help to overthrow the government," Ryoto told them.

Thorn raised his red talon up. "Lord Ryoto, we need a strategist, a messenger, and all of those roles. This way, we can win the war."

Dracul nodded his black head. "Yes, Lord Ryoto. I have a few dragons I can name to help you."

Coatl's gray-silver scales flashed as he spoke. "We completely support you, Lord Ryoto."

Ryoto smiled weakly. "Thank you. Who do you think should be our strategist?"

Dracul said, "I have three dragons' names in mind. I think Drago, the great dragon of the skies, could be the strategist. He knows the ground by heart, after flying in the skies for such a long time. He is wise. Then there's Uruloki. His mind is as sharp as knives, able to penetrate the veil of secrets. And finally, Drakon. Drakon is Drago's twin, and he has studied Strategy in his life."

Ryoto tried to choose, but he couldn't. "How about this: all three of them could be the Strategists. Dracul, could you go fetch them?"

Dracul dipped his head and flew away.

"Right, Lord Ryoto, I remembered something," Rhaegal piped up. "Haru and Kaito have loyal supporters. They are: Arman, Shenron, and Shenlong."

Ryoto's face darkened. "Arman? Arman came to talk to me a few days ago about coming to the palace. He even started to ask me about my alliance... Oh no!" Ryoto gasped, clutching his head. "I didn't realize that he was loyal to Lord Kaito! He must've revealed my rebellion to Kaito! He's coming after me!"

The dragons shared an uneasy look. If Arman revealed their secret, they were doomed.

Leviathan's dark-blue mane quivered. "Don't worry," he boomed in his deep voice. "We'll make sure we pick off every single one of them."

Firnen nodded. "I will never forgive Haru and Kaito for this. For murdering my sister..." He sighed as he thought of Saphira. "We need a plan."

Ryoto sighed as he opened a scroll. He announced, "all of the rebellion! Come to me right now so I can see who's here."

The crowd of dragons pressed in closer, and Ryoto started calling out the names: "Diaval?"

"Here!"

"Firnen!"

"Here!"

"Longwei!"

"Here!"

"Haku!"

"Here!"

"Leviathan!"

"Here!"

After all of the dragons were settled, Kato flew in. He spread his magnificent wings and rested down on Ryoto's shoulder. He sang beautifully before touching his beak to every dragon's forehead.

"We need a plan to get Lord Kaito and Haru— my own father— to bow to us. Any ideas?"

"We need to— hey, isn't that Shenron?" Longwei gasped, pointing up to a flying green dragon. The dragon gaped, and tried to fly away.

"Leviathan!" Ryoto whirled towards the massive dragon, and Leviathan raised his talons. Water from a nearby lake rocketed up, making an arch in the air, and slammed straight into the dragon's chest. The dragon flailed, but fell down to the ground.

Ryoto's heart was beating as he ran towards the fallen dragon. "Haku, Firnen, Coatl, Thorn. Please hold him down."

As the four dragons obeyed, the dragon started sputtering, water flying out of his snout.

Longwei snarled, "this idiotic dragon here is Shenron, twin to Shenlong, loyal supporter to Haru."

Shenron writhed, hissing, but the dragons held him still. "Let me go! I'm here to retrieve General Haru's son! It's an order!"

Rhaegal slammed his snout shut. "You cold-hearted dragon! Haru only wants Ryoto because he wants to kill him!"

"He knows that you have a rebellion! You're going to regret it! I'd advise you to move and return back to your normal lives!" Shenron's eyes gleamed angrily.

Diaval snarled, steam rising out of his nostrils. "You are supporting the wrong side! Haru is the cause of all of these deaths! The deaths of all of the Lunar Dragons!"

"The Lunar Dragons are evil! They are dirty-blooded dragons! They have ruined our entire generation!"

"You're wrong," Ryoto snarled. "Haru and Kaito have, not us. If you support them, then you're also going to ruin our generation."

Shenron only huffed, a coil of smoke rising into the air.

The rest of the dragons looked at Ryoto, waiting for their next order. The sound of wingbeats frightened them, and when they looked up, they saw Dracul returning with three dragons. When Dracul saw Shenron, his eyes narrowed.

When the dragons landed, Ryoto thanked Dracul. Then he turned to the three dragons. "Hello, welcome to the rebellion. I'm Ryoto, the leader of this army. Our objective is to kill Haru and Kaito, and make them pay for what they did to the Lunar Dragons."

Uruloki nodded. "I understand, Lord Ryoto."

Drakon and Drago nodded. "Lord Ryoto, we will help you. We will join your ranks."

Ryoto smiled and hugged them. "Thank you so much. First, we need a plan on what to do first."

"Uhm, Lord Ryoto, what do we do with Shenron?" Coatl called. He was holding Shenron's twitching talons. Kato perched on Shenron's torso, pecking him whenever he moved.

Ryoto hesitated and said, "tie him up. We'll keep him hostage. We can't kill him. He might be a useful pawn."

Shenron snorted. "So you're just going to keep me hostage and go make General Haru and Lord Kaito scared? Hm." He tried to jerk away, but the dragons held tight.

"But where do we hold him?" Ryoto looked around at his surroundings.

"Ah, Lord Ryoto, I found a chain of underground tunnels when I went exploring around here recently," Haku admitted. He said, "we could hold dragons there. We have taloncuffs and silencers."

"Excellent!" Ryoto exclaimed. He turned to the dragons. "Haku and Firnen, bring our guest here to the cages."

Haku and Firnen saluted, seized Shenron, and flew off.

"We need to have roles in this army," Ryoto realized.

The dragons nodded.

"Very well," Ryoto tried to think. "Leviathan, you'll be the deputy of the army. Seniors will be Diaval and Thorn because they have lots of experience in fighting. Warriors will be Haku, Rhaegal, Coatl, Longwei and Dracul. Our Strategists will be Uruloki, Drago and Drakon. Kato will be our lookout."

Each dragon nodded, remembering their roles.
"We also need healers!" Ryoto gasped, remembering. "I know a dragon that can heal." He turned to Coatl. "Can you go fetch Fafnir? Fafnir is an extraordinary healer."

Coatl flew away, his silvery tail flapping in the wind,

"We also need a space to set up camp," Ryoto commented.

Diaval immediately raised his talon. "Lord Ryoto, I live alone in the forest, and I have already built a big hut. It is completely hidden from view."

"Very well," Ryoto murmured.

Kato suddenly flew into a flurry of movements, staring at Ryoto with desperate eyes.

Ryoto didn't need Kato to tell him what was coming.

He ran away with his army as a swarm of dragons raced towards them.
