Guild Strigidae

What planet the Guild is from: Illūnis

Illūnis literally means a moonless night, which in my perception implies complete darkness and that's nothing metaphorical by the way, because on planet Illūnis there is no light. No sunlight. No moonlight. And how they survive without sunlight, which technically is the root of survival of any species... Well earth science is different from Illūnis science so they just sorta do survive.

About the Guild:

So the Guild was formed when five Elders decided to form an association of people who are different from the majority of population- but no less living beings- and are despised because of their differences. They wanted to create a safe haven for these people so they could live in peace, where there differences are not looked down upon, but celebrated.Those who supported these different people, but themselves were not like them, are also welcome. There is no rule about who can enter or not, just an age limit of 20 and above.

So these five Elders each have an Heir who will lead the Guild after they retireor die. Each set of Elders has a limited number of years for heading the Guild, which is 25 years. This is because some people in the Guild might be immortal and it would be unfair if they headed the Guild forever. Also, the Heirs are decided on the basis of their skills and abilities and there's no hereditary crap. Descendants can be the Heirs of their ancestors, but their family relation is ignored.

Apart from the Heir thingy, there is nothing formal in the Guild. The five Elders are as normal and friendly as any other person in the Guild.

A fraction amongst the Strigidaens travel around Illūnis in search of more and more people with differences that are considered undignified in their society and take these people with them, if they are willing to go.

Also, some people who know about the Strigidae Guild and do not belong to it, loathe it. And loathe it so such an extent that there have been attacks on the Guild and their tiny island "Panacea" that the Guild Elders had to decide to form a force of people who would protect the Guild from these attacks. This force is led by five Heads including their Guild Master himself.

Guild Master:

At 30, The Guild Master, surprisingly is younger than you thought. Probably.

He is a human, which also serves as one of the reasons he is the Master, since everyone in the Guild have some human roots, and that is what binds them together. He is a tall young man with chocolate brown hair and matching eyes. Apart from his looks, his skill with the sword is what gets all the ladies fanning themselves around him. He is a confident extrovert who gets along with anyone and everyone in the room.

About the Guild Sigil:

Strigidae, in the language of some learned men and women, loosely translates to owl. And it's an owl because, as mentioned before, there is only night in their planet. So it sort of represents that even if they are despised in the rest of the Illūnis, the all-knowing Owl, who happens to be their Creator, accepts them as they are and loves them for who they are
