"Hallo mother, hallo father, oh Hallo Sally!" Cried Daffy excitedly. Bobbie and Annabel were pleased when Mrs. Hope announced they would take a walk by the beach and snack on Cold ham and peas. "This will be simply scrumptious!" Annabel exclaims, gleaming with joy. "Why don't we take a dip?" Daffy asks. "Splendid Idea, we can set up the picnic as you girls frolic in the waves." says Mrs. Hope. Ivy watches all the girls chitchat and tries not to feel too envious. Faith and Edith had gone together because Katie was in coventry and Ivy was left alone. Ivy still felt a little ill and had done quite poorly on her exams and was quite worried. She knew she could recover but if she had to go to the san someone would have to be head girl well she was in the san but she dreadfully didn't want that. "Ivy dear, are you quite alright?" Ivy's mother asks. "Im fine mother." Ivy says with sigh, resting her head on her mothers lap. 

"Excuse me, are you Ivy's Mother?" Matron asks, when she walks up. "Yes, is everything alright?" "I have reason to believe your daughter is sick." Matron says Gravely. "A worried form mate told me." Matron says. Matron escorts Ivy away, with her mother tagging along. Head seering with pain, Ivy started to cry. "Its going to be alright." Ivy's mother says, massaging her hair "Everything is going to be just fine." Bobbie and the others watched this with horror and felt horribly bad for Ivy. "With Ivy sick, Annabel will step in as head girl since she is deputy, thank you." Mrs. Peters says briskly. Annabel blushed with pride forgetting about Ivy being sick and thinking of her tremendous glory as head girl, she tried to stop herself but wonderful thoughts kept seeping in. "Wait a minute." Annabel says curiously. "I was with Bobbie looking threw papers to supervise the form since im deputy, and I say Ivy was doing poorly!" "So Katie's not the sneak?" Faith asks confused. "No, Katie was spying on us and overheard us, she must have sneaked!" All the girls gasped and sent dirty looks at Katie. Katie shrank back and ran away sobbing. Suddenly she realized something. She knew who the sneak was, they left a cookie trail and she had prove who the sneak was, and fast!
