Sanskar : (mimicked her) What the hell Swara...

Swara (warning and giving him a death glare) : Don't repeat my lines!!!

Sanskar (smiling, sarcastically) : Oh really Ms Swara Gadodia? Atleast after your last evening's deeds, am I still not allowed to say anything to you?

What on earth was Sanskar speaking?!

It's he who had landed up on her bed, right?

Swara immediately got up making Sanskar eye up at her as Swara stood on the bed.

Swara : W- What deeds?! Just shut up! Don't turn the tables! Y.. You.. how did you end up here in my..

Sanskar (got up and stood on the bed too facing Swara and folded his arms) : ...And what if I don't?

Swara : (chided) This is my house!!

Sanskar : (amused) Ohh... So will you kick me out of your house?

Swara : (smirked) Well.. Considering that I have won atleast seven awards in Karate competitions, kicking you out won't be harder for me.

Sanskar : Oh my god Swara! Bachche ki jaan logi kya?!

Swara : (murmured slapping her forehead) We are going off topic. (serious face, calmly) What are you doing here? First of all, it's you who has come to my house alright! Now tell me clearly, how did you end up here in my house, my bedroom, my bed? Ha?

But that playful smirk on Sanskar's face explained something else. And that made Swara scrunch her eyebrows even more at him.

Sanskar (smiling sarcastically) : My Darling Ms Clumsy, you really don't remember what all happened yesterday?

Swara : (shocked) What? I.. I.. Have I forgotten something?

Sanskar : (suspensely) Arey you have forgotten the entire evening!! And you won't believe what.. And, yeah.. One essential advice to you. (Swara frowned) Before blaming or framing me for any sort of charges that you assume me to have done, first let us recollect together what events had taken place yesterday!! (grinned) And.. You won't believe what my analyzation of yesterday says.

Sanskar was talking nonsense!!!

Or so she thought.

Maybe Swara had a really bad feeling regarding all this, deep down her heart. How come she didn't remember anything?! Except for..

Except for.. their Holi celebration!!!

Nevertheless, she enquired.

Swara : What? And please, be specific.

Sanskar came near her ear and smirked. Swara frowned a bit seeing their almost covered distance.

Sanskar : It's you because of whom this all started! It's you because of whom we are here on the same bed.

Swara (super shocked) : Whaaatttt!!!!!!!????

Sanskar : (smiling enjoying her expressions) Yes baby!!!

Swara : (cried) Nooo wayy!!!!

Sanskar : (rebuked) Yes wayyy!!!!

Swara : W.. What are you trying to say?

Sanskar : (shrugged his shoulders) The truth.

Swara : But..

Sanskar (surprised) : Oh! Actually, I had expected a thanks from you for giving you a clue.

Swara : (chided) You really expect me to say that? And why?!

Sanskar : (frowned) Seriously Swara? Even after giving you a clue you don't remember anything?

Swara nodded her head slowly into a No, her eyes scrunching down and waiting for his answer. On the other hand, Sanskar seemed to enjoy her expressions a lot.

Sanskar : (put his hand around Swara's shoulder) Okay then! Well coming straight to the point.. (he sighed giving his throat a 2-3 second rest)

But this silence didn't go well with our Swara.. She jerked Sanskar's hand off her shoulder.

Swara : (panic striken) Sanskar I swear I will kill you if you don't speak. I don't know what happened yesterday. I.. (put pressure on her head) How come I am not remembering anything.. Goddd!!! What had happened yesterday will someone tell me!!!

Sanskar : Hey hey chill.. Don't panic.

Swara : Are you kidding me?!

Sanskar : No, I am not. My brain is printing the results for me.

Swara : (gritting her teeth) Screw you. (cried in her mind) In this big world having millions of citizens, I had to fall in love with this prankster only.

Sanskar (twisted her lips) : Khud toh kuch yaad nahi.. and telling me. (cleared his throat) Well, by the way here the results are..

Swara : What?

Sanskar : N/A..

Great. What else could she expect from him. 😑

Swara (shocked) : N/A?!

Sanskar : It means 'not applicable'.

Swara : Huh? I also know the full form!! But.. (registering his words) Wait wait wait.. What did you say?

Sanskar : 'N/A'.

Swara : Ugh! I also heard that. But aage kya?! I mean.. (realisation stroke her and her eyes widened like an O) Woh.. I.. I was alright na? Was I in my senses?! Sanskar!!!

Sanskar : Swara.. Even I don't remember anything for heaven's sake.

She had enough with him!!! Next moment, she bent down, grabbed a pillow and started beating Sanskar vigorously with it with Sanskar giggling with her beatings..

Sanskar : Aahhauuu Swara.. It's giving me a tickling kind of feel.. feeling..

Swara : Abhi aise maarungi na tumhe.. ki sab ek hi baar mein yaad aajayega..

Sanskar : (paniced) Aauuh!! Swara. Dost Shoshan.

Seriously, 'dost shoshan'?!

Swara : Shut up!!!

And at the sudden moment, Sanskar overpowered Swara by clutching her wrists, making Swara give him a death glare.

Sanskar : Well rather than beating me, couldn't you pressurise your own brain and figure out what happened yesterday in the party?

Swara : B..

Sanskar : Come on Swara.. (winked) I am behind you.

Swara : (snapped at him) Shut up you idiot. Let me remember.

Sanskar : Okay. (chuckled softly)

Swara : (calmly) See, all I remember is, you had taken me up to the terrace to play Holi. And then you, me, Kavita and Sahil were enjoying and playing Holi entire day. Then we all were having some good time together.. Then... I remember somewhere I am going blank around there! (thought) I remember I was eating icecream and you came to talk to me.

Sanskar (amused) : Wow Swara.. You have such a great brain. Even I don't remember this much! (in his mind smiling) Can you just blurt that out again, please Swara?

Swara (still in her flow) After that.. I went with Sahil to drink water. Then after that.. (held her head) Oh God! What has happened to me.. And now all I saw infront of my eyes was you sleeping besides me.

Sanskar (raised his hand stopping her) : One minute Swara. I think you are dragging it a lot. Now, listen to what I have to say.

Swara (widened her eyes pleadingly) : What are you saying?

Sanskar : (suspensely) Okay, let us go straight to the point. Now, this is what I remember before I happened to lose my own senses.

Swara : What?

Sanskar : Well.. Swara.. Gadodia! (in one breathe now) You were drunk last night!

What?!! 😱

Swara (snapped and cried loudly) : I was whaaaaatttttt?!?!

Sanskar (whispered) : You were drunk last night.

Swara : (pleadingly) Nooooo!!!!!! Thi.. this can't be!

Sanskar : (sarcastically) Sach kadva lagta hai, I understand.. But this is what is the truth. I remember this very well.. before I happened to lose my own senses.

"This can't be true! In my life I never ever drank, peena toh durr I never ever touched it even!!!" she said to Sanskar.

Sanskar (amused) : Oh do you know what did you tell me at that time?!

Was there something else awaiting her? 😱

Swara (cried) : What?!

Sanskar : That you also never drank in your entire life.. But you have also begun it now.. (cut his tongue and started giggling a bit)

Swara : (dumbfounded) I said that??!! (facepalmed herself) Sanskar, I like jokes to a very large extent. I don't always like it. (pleadingly) You are joking right?

Sanskar : Arey I am not joking Swara! Yes. You did. And well.. there are a lot more things which you and I have to remember right now!!! So, (smirked) I am going to prepare something.

And saying this, Sanskar hopped down from the bed and ran towards the kitchen leaving Swara all puzzled.

Swara : Sanskaaarrr!! What are you saying?! Tell na.

She also hopped down and hurriedly followed Sanskar.

All necessary ingredients for lemonade/limewater were arranged by Sanskar.. Swara ran towards him and was almost about to crash him but she balanced herself holding the cabinet.

He had already started preparing it.

Swara : Sans.. Sanskar..

Sanskar (eyes moved at Swara) : You here? You remembered everything?

Swara : Actually..

Sanskar : Okay okay. Don't say anything now. First have this Sanskar's Special Lemonade and then you are allowed to open up as much as you want. No one will stop you.

Swara : Lemonade?

Sanskar : It means Nimbu Paani.

Swara : (snapped) I know that spoilsport.

Sanskar : (mimicked her voice) Then why were you asking?

Swara : I was not asking. Woh.. (cleared her throat) I just said it like that.

Sanskar : (while pouring sugar in the water) Okay. Well, even I don't remember very much of yesterday but.. I guess this limewater might do some magic! Just wait, I am making for you also.

Swara : And.. how come I am not remembering anything.

Sanskar : That happens. Not everyone has the similar side effects of bhaang na. But you will also remember it.

Swara (confused) : One minute.. bhaang?! (shocked) What bhaang?

Sanskar (adding lemon juices from the lemon in the water) : Woh.. kal ke paani mein bhaang milaya hua tha. No one knew about it. And the moment.. you and Sahil (Swara's eyes widened) drank that water.. both of you completely lost your senses. And then later on what happened, that you only try to remember Swara. (cleared his throat) Fine! Now all discussions later and, (forwarded a glass of lemonade to her) Have this! You will also get through all your yesterday's hangover.

He made her hold the glass. Swara frowned looking at the glass having juice first and then gulped the entire glass in one go. Sanskar too drank his glass of lemonade.

Swara : Hmm! Done! Now?

Sanskar : Now just wait until you start recalling everything.

That's what was left to do! 😕

Swara : Do you remember everything?

Sanskar : Not much.. as I said before, not everyone faces the same effect. (thought something) Well I suggest, you revise everything and then meet me in the office! Actually I have to go a bit early today. There are loads of work on me, so I have to finish them! I and Sahil are going ahead, you and Kavita come there by car. I will tell my driver to drop you both.

Sanskar was about to leave the Kitchen when Swara held his wrist.

Swara : Wait Sanskar. One last thing...

He turned around towards her.

"What is it?"

Sanskar tried to read her face but this time, he miserably failed.. He himself did not know why but today he failed to read her mind...

"Sanskar, I didn't do something embarrassing or irrational last night, right?" - Swara was too convenient and her expression was.. more of pleading.

Sanskar closed his eyes curving his lips a bit.

Sanskar (chuckled) : No Swara! (looked at her) You.. you are getting it all wrong. It's nothing like that and you are not alone who did embarrassing things last night! (Smiled in assurance) You will know soon. Just remember that.. it wasn't that bad.

And when he said that, his heart immediately skipped a beat unknowingly. Swara pursed her lips into a thin line and eyed at him.

Swara : Okay. Fine.

Sanskar : So, there's still an hour left for you! (looked at the clock and then back at Swara) One hour is enough for you to recall everything. Now I am going to pick up this Sahil.. God knows where has he died.

Swara : (confused) Died?

Sanskar : Ha woh.. actually.. You will know everything as soon as you start recalling yesterday's events. Now bye.

He ran away from there immediately leaving Swara all confused. Why was Sanskar behaving so weirdly today?

Now she was sure that something had happened yesterday! Something which had possibly changed Sanskar's behavior towards her..

Swara : What is he talking about? And by the way, even if I was drunk, then how come he ended up near me in my bed?! And.. why is he saying that it's because of my own deed? Did I do something yesterday? Or did.. did I say something weird to him yesterday?

She started pacing up and down.

Swara : No no no Swara, you will get all your answers only after you calm yourself down first! Come on, now, just focus.

She took a deep breath, in and out and then walked towards her bedroom to get ready for the day. Her mind drowned into various thoughts.

Sanskar entered the entrance of the terrace where the sight of the terrace at the early morning especially made him shocked and surprised. It was more than a messy place now rather than the daily white marbled beautiful heaven.

Sanskar : (raised his eyebrows) Aahha!! Our last night wonderland.

He was right, wasn't he? 😉

He looked everywhere, and he slowly started recalling things.. From his Holi dance with Swara to they all got drunk. From their four's dance to their Sardines.. From their pillow fight to their star gazing moments.. And he was cherishing all of them with none other than.. Swara. She was still in his mind. He recalled how the four had created a ruckus and the last evening and night was fully theirs! He chuckled recalling that how come they did such things last night. But he was giggling rather than getting embarrassed.

That's what was life!

He reminded himself of Swara who was full on masti and fun and a smile crept on his face.

Again Swara in his mind? But this time.. he wasn't shocked or confused like always...

Instead, this time he was more like happy that no matter wherever time took them, Swara was everywhere within him. In his mind.. and..

In his heart too.. Yes.

Coming out of his thoughts, he frantically looked around to search for Sahil and Kavita but he did not see them.

But he was surprised to see Sahil and Kavita nowhere to be seen... He frowned a bit and then went outside the terrace.

"I don't know how I ended up with him!!! I am not remembering anything goddamnit! For god sake.. Someone tell me what happened between us last night!"

Sanskar took a deep sigh. Are all girls this panicky?

Kavita was freaked too after seeing Sahil near her after she got up in the morning.. And right now, both Sahil and Kavita were feeling awkward to face each other. Kavita was pacing up and down trying to recall last night's events, but alas, nothing came to her rescue.

"Phew! Time for another female handle" - Sanskar smiled as he prepared another limewater for both Sahil and Kavita as well. As he caught up with Kavita and Sahil in his and Sahil's house, all he saw were those two red faces who couldn't face each other!

So, it was time to make them remember what had happened last night.

Well, after Swara!

Kavita : Sanskar how could you be so relaxed? You know na it's so.. I mean. Ugh..

Sanskar : Don't worry! Same thing has happened to me today morning. In that case, I was Sahil and Swara was you.

Kavita was alarmed.

Kavita : Swara!!?? You both were also drunk?!

Sanskar : Arey chill.. cool down! Don't burn in this climate. This will damage your skin.

Kavita made an innocent pout and looked at Sanskar. Sanskar sighed chuckling.

Kavita : But really na, it's not something very embarrassing?

Sanskar : No. I and Swara went through it too.

Kavita : But..

Sanskar : Ssh! Now drink it quietly!

Kavita : Arey par..

Sanskar : (rebuked) Quiet!

Kavita : (chided) Listen atleast..

Sanskar : I won't! Unless and until you drink this.

Kavita took the lemonade hesitantly from Sanskar's hand and drank it. Then gave the empty glass to Sanskar.

Sanskar : Wait here, let me give your hero this limewater. He will calm down too.

Kavita : Wait! I'll also come.

Sanskar : Okay, much better!

They both walked towards the exit of the kitchen.

"Oye Hello Mr Blush King! Drink this lemonade and then hide inside that bed as much as you want.."

Sanskar giggled watching Sahil who was trying ways to avoid any contact with anyone and was looking somewhere under the bed.

Needless to say, he was actually acting.. The truth was he was hiding from Kavita.

Kavita : Sahil!

As soon as Sahil heard the voice, his head banged up making him cry. "Ouu!".

Sanskar tried hard not to laugh seeing his best buddy this much embarrassed. Sahil rubbed his head frowning. Kavita frowned facing the same embarrassment.

Sahil's eyes widened. Soon enough he started acting as if he was desperately finding something under his bed. He cleared his throat.

Sanskar tilted his head a little to the right peeping into what Sahil was doing under the bed. Looked like he.. was finding something. Was he really even?

Sanskar : (suspiciously) May I know why are you hiding yourself under the bed?

Sahil (without even looking back) : Shut up Bro!! I am not hiding. Woh.. woh..

Sanskar : Wait, what?! I just heard 'woh.. woh..'. Stop framing subordinate clauses. (in his mind) Bechari Swara should have been here. She missed all the fun.

Sahil : (hesitantly) Don't drag it somewhere else Bro, be quiet please! I am just finding my ball pen here. I am searching for that only under the bed. Don't irritate me! Ugh.. by the way? Have you seen it somewhere?

Sanskar (giggled) : Oh! Ball pen? Really?

Sahil (stammering) : Ugh. Yeah.. yeah! Did you.. you see it?

Sanskar : I am seeing it Bro!!!

Another time Sahil by mistake banged his head up and cried. "Aaah!!"

Sanskar : Ohho!! Easy there... Come out first then I'll tell you where your pen is.

Sahil : Really na? But.. I.. I thought.. my pen was.. under the.. the.. bed..

Within no time Sanskar went to the other side of the bed gesturing Kavita to be quiet. He knelt down infront of Sahil and faced him. He showed him his 'lost' ball pen making Sahil widen his eyes.

The cat was out of the bag!

Sanskar : (holding the pen in front of him) Are you talking about this pen? Then let me tell you, it was just on the bed! Then why are you searching for it under the bed?

Sahil just quickly came out but he purposely faced his back towards Kavita. Sanskar got up too.

Sahil : Oh! Yeah.. My pen!! (grinned and took it from Sanskar's hand) Thanks Bro!

Sanskar : Come on Sahil.. I know what has happened between you and Kavita.

Sahil freezed at his own place. Even Kavita was shocked. Sanskar dragged Sahil near Kavita and put his hands on both's shoulders.

Sanskar : We all four were drunk last night, alright! (looked at Kavita) And look, whatever we did yesterday absolutely made no sense!!! We were living in an entirely different world last night! We weren't within ourselves! And whatever we were doing wasn't meant to be real! So I suggest, let's forget everything what happened yesterday and get over it! More we think of it, more we will feel embarrassed! And, we all are best friends na! Such things are fine. So, let's forget everything. Are we in it?

Sahil and Kavita smiled at Sanskar and then looked at each other smiling.

Sahil : Yes Bro you are right! Let's not think of yesterday.

Kavita : (realising and nodding) Exactly! And if we weren't in ourselves then it's obviously not our mistake!

Sanskar : Correct!

The three smiled.

Sanskar : Well Sahil, we had to go early today.

Sahil : Yes, yes I remember!

Sanskar : Anyway Kavita, I and Sahil are going ahead... You come along with Swara! Our driver will drop you both! I and Sahil will be sending the car back for you after we reach the office, okay?

Kavita : Okay. Fine.

Sanskar : Come Sahil let's get ready.

Sahil : Ha.. Bye Kavita meet you soon!

Kavita (smiled) : We will, for sure!

Sahil smiled. They both had an eyelock. But Sanskar dragged Sahil from there holding your hand.

Sanskar : Excuse me my dearies! A big sorry for interfering into your lovey-dovey moment but I guess it can be postponed as we are running late Sahil.

Sahil : Ouch. Bro. Don't pull me so hard.

Sanskar and Sahil went out. Kavita smiled and jerked away all thoughts coming in her mind and turned to go towards her House.

It was almost four hours since Sanskar had been working over his tasks. Now, a cup of coffee was much needed for him as he was tired after four hours of continuous tasks on his head. But thankfully, they were done and now he could relax. He was sitting on his chair and infront of him was a glass desk where his laptop was kept. He was working on his laptop for some important communication purposes. He felt a little pain in his neck due to continuous work...

All this while, he had been waiting for Swara to show up as well.. But, no! Maybe she was busy.

Sanskar : (rubbing his neck) Ouch.. Could I get a cup of coffee Maria?

Maria came upto him.

Maria : What happened Sanskar? You want something?

Sanskar : (sighed tiredly but smiling) Hmm.. Nothing. I just wish I could have a heat bag on my neck.. You know it pains when you hop here and there for some tasks or the other.

Maria : (innocently) Hmm, but Sanskar you know na that's something I cannot...

Sanskar (smiled) : I know. But atleast you can bring me a cup of coffee? And haan, that special one which I often drink! My favourite coffee.

Maria smiled.

Maria : Yeah, I know.. It's the Hot Chocolate Coffee. The Coffee without which you can't have your day.

Sanskar : Right!

Maria : Okay.

Sanskar : Thanks, beautiful!

Maria : My pleasure always!

Swara should have been here so that he could have made her jealous. 😈

Maria gave him a smile and was about to leave the cabin when suddenly somebody bumped into her hurriedly. But she didn't notice Maria and instead ran inside the cabin and stood infront of Sanskar.

It was Swara! Sanskar's eyes widened and his pen dropped off his fingers.. He looked at Swara and smiled.

Sanskar : Alright Ms Gadodia! I was waiting for you only!

Swara (in a breathe) : Sanskar, we need to talk. Look, whatever has happened is definitely not good.

Sanskar frowned a bit. He smiled and eyed towards Maria.

Sanskar : Okay! Maria bring a cup of coffee for her as well!

Maria : Okay Sanskar.

Maria went out of the cabin.

Sanskar : (genuinely smiling) Come Ms Gadodia have a seat. Don't hesitate, please.

Swara in no time sat on the chair which was infront of his desk. She faced him.

Sanskar : So tell us, what did you remember?

Swara looked back in form. Sanskar entangled his fingers of his both hands together and rested his own chin in his entangled fingers. He put his elbow on his desk and got prepared to hear her.

Sanskar : Frankly speaking Swara, I have still not remembered everything, but that doesn't mean I remember 'nothing'!

And that answered Swara's fear! A part of her sinked and her chest filled with an unknown pain and emotion. That means.. He..

Nevertheless, she looked at him as she sensed he had come up with something to say.

Sanskar (cleared his throat) : Our fun..

Swara shifted her gaze down..

Sanskar (looking at her) : Our dance..

Swara gulped.

Sanskar : Our.. game!

Swara twisted her lips being unsure.

Sanskar : Our craziness.

And for the first time today Swara's eyes looked at him. Sanskar sighed and plastered a smile on his face..

Sanskar : Our.. Swara.. should I really say that?

Swara's eyes widened and that's when she realised that her main concern was answered. She sensed Sanskar who was looking at her with much higher intensity and.. that was making her feel butterflies in her stomach.

Sanskar cleared the throat sensing that the atmosphere was becoming silent.

Sanskar : Well.. I remember this much only.

Swara : This much only?

Sanskar : Haan.. Now, what do you remember?

Swara : Let's have a fresh start. So yesterday Sahil and I went to drink water near the water filter in the Holi party. It was nearby evening. We drank the water and we both lost our senses. Then that's when we realised that there was bhaang in our water.

Sanskar (nodding into Yes) : Aham.

Maybe if she rewinded the time back, Sanskar might remember something?

Swara : (frowned and slightly twisted her lips) Then.. You and Kavita also drank the same water. I.. I mean.. after Sahil forced you both.

"You also forced me Darlo.. Kal mujhe cute bolne ki juruat kiski thi?" - Sanskar smirked to himself.

Swara : Huh?

Sanskar : Nothing.. leave it.

Swara (embarrassed) : Umm. Ha.

Sanskar : Yes.

Swara : Anyways let's go ahead. So we all four got drunk and then.. We all had some stupid sort of fun together and trust me it was really stupid!

Sanskar (nodding into Yes) : Aham.

"Just come to that point Swara! I don't want anything else!"

Swara : Then.. We all were playing since a very long time. And then..

Sanskar : (in hope) Then?

"Say it Swara!!! Please!!!"

Swara : I don't remember Sanskar.

Sanskar (whinned) : This is cheating!!!!

Swara (snapped at him) : What is cheating???!!! I don't know!!! I don't remember Sanskar!!! We all were heavy last night.

Sanskar : Come on Swara.. Itni durr aa gaye hai. The ending to this story must be as exciting as the beginning was. I am sure you remember the ending.

Swara : Shut up Sanskar. Stop eating my head. And anyways, ever since I have got up, I don't feel so good. I don't remember everything. And you know what? I don't even want to remember! That was so embarrassing evening and night for us!

Sanskar : Really?

Swara : Yes. Now, can I leave? I have work to do!!!

Sanskar : But then.. why are you snapping at me?!

Swara (whinned) : Where am I snapping at you?! For heavens sake Sanskar, everything needs some time. (In her mind) And it's of no use to speak if you don't remember anything Sanskar! If you don't remember our arduous moment of last night, it's of no use! (broken tone) It's of no use.

And the last thing Swara decided to do was just get up and leave. If Sanskar did not remember anything that happened between them, talking with him over that matter was not of any use.

Yes, what did you think? Swara did remember their moments of last night!

The moment she asked Sanskar to pick her up in his embrace were crystal clear in her memories when she shut her eyes. If she had to name one person to whom she could devote her entire self, it's only Sanskar! And no one else.

But seeing Sanskar right now erased her hopes. Was falling in love that hard? She began to love him and he..

Yes, Sanskar remembered everything!!! How could he forget that? He recalled last night's moments where Swara confessed her love to him!!! How could he forget the most arduous moment between them?!! He remembered how she had asked him to carry her down the same way he had carried her up to the terrace.

Bur everytime he remembered that moment, his lips curved into a smile. He leaned ahead keeping his cheek on his palm and keeping his elbow down on the desk. He rolled his eyes here and there smiling.
