Manik was busy with other guest while Nandini was with aunty and a few ladies. She was served a mock tail that she was relishing bit by bit. At one point aunty had to leave Nandini and that's when the ladies asked Nandini.

L2-farida (Fernandez aunty) ki annivery party kum tumhara reception zayda lag rha hai.

She was abruptly cut by another aunty who laughed and said.

L3-husbands k liye aaj kaal kaun yeh sab krta hai.

And the ladies laughed again. With their attitude Nandini understood what kind of ladies/wife's they are. She was least affected from them. Girls joined them saying.

G-why did you marry at such a young age........ girl your life is finished........you lost all your freedom.

Nan-marriage does not take your freedom away.

G2-really.........look at yourself........parties mei aise kaun aata hai.........and you just said that you do all this for your husband........I can smell housewife feeling from you.........what's your career now.

G3-you toh can't even go without any permission of your husband no.......! Pubs and all are over now.

Nan-off course I do have a career.........i am a doctor..........and I can go to the pubs as well...... Manik never refuses me for anything.

This shut the girls up to which one girl said in a bit seducive tone.

G4-but you can't enjoy different men's now....... you have that same old boring dick everyday.

Nan-marriage is not abt intimacy all the time..........it's a beautiful feeling.........but that's out of your understanding.

That time Manik's gaze fell at Nandini and vice versa. They smiled at each other and with a quick eye conversation asked abt each other's comfort. Getting back to girls Nandini further said.

Nan-when you fall in true love.........everything will be understood.........right now.......you won't understand my words.

That's when an aunty spoke.

L-this is all illusion.........waqt k sath sath insaan badal jate hai.........bore hojaoge ek dusre se.........aur fir sab hoga cheating, extra affairs, lies.

Aunty joined them soon. Well it's been 1/2 an hour for Manan joining the party.

With Manik. First a few conversation held abt business. They converse abt so many projects being in the lap of Malhotra's. After that they asked about his wedding and his married life. Question here and there, about his music too. That's when Fernandez uncle said.

U-Manik.........waise toh muje bolna nhi chahiye.........kyu ki tum guest ho.........but agar tum ek song gaa skte ho toh.........it's a nice feeling to here live from you.

Though uncle was important but Manik didn't wanted to perform like the other way that's why he made an excuse.

Ma-uncle mera band bhi toh nhi hai.........toh kaise.

Man1-arey band ka arrangement hojayega.

Ma-No no.........

Manik was in denial but then Fernandez uncle said.

U-aacha apni biwi k liye kuch gaa le.........

That's when Manik's gaze fell again on Nandini. He could see her sideways, so that have face of her, her side smile, her bobbing of head everything. Manik agreed and that's when Fernandez uncle took him at a side and made arrangements for a mic and all.

Soon the band started playing music according to Manik's instructions. Everybody's attention turned to one direction and soon they saw Manik coming from one corner with a mic fixed on his face.

Manik started singing and was walking towards Nandini. Everybody understood that this song is for her. Nandini was surprised with his this gesture.

He reached to her, with locking his eyes with her.

When he sang this versu, he forwarded his hand to Nandini so that he can take her away.

Manik started moving backwards.

they started moving their body.

Manik was singing looking in Nandini's eyes, he was not looking anywhere else. Even Nandini got lost in his eyes and forgot her surroundings.

The musical part was being played and that's when a few couples joined the floor. They stood in such a way that Manan were in middle and they were around them in a big circle.

This time they swayed their body more and were moving round and round, dancing.

Manik looked at Nandini deep and sang the words as if saying her that these words are not song lyrics but the reality of his life.👇

Again the musical part was being played and that's when Manik twirled Nandini around twice.

Then he kissed her forehead, on her vermilion.

He took hold of her palm that was resting on his chest, which turned into fist. He kissed on her knuckles which were in fist.

Manik kept singing looking in her eyes. The guest were going aww on them.

The last piece of musical note was being played when Manan hugged each other and than soon looked at the couple's dancing around them.

The song ended and everybody clapped for them.

But the dancing session was not over. Just after Manik's song, the music system started again and coupled joined the floor more. Manan decided to stay and that's why they were on their place.

A staff member came to Manik to take the mic and free him. So Manan were disturbed for that moment but soon they joined them too. Being in the dance Manik spoke/asked.

Ma-enjoying the party?

Nan-haan........its a bit weird.....like we have hosted parties as well.........but being a host and a guest is different.

Ma-those aunties..........were saying something.

Nan-yeah but it's not a big deal........forget them.

Ma-thank god..........I have often heard abt such offensive situations and wives reacting emotionally.........you didn't react that way.

Nan-maybe coz they are not mentally prepared for the humiliation..........and that tiggers insecurity btwn them.

Ma-so you are not insecure for us?

He asked in a play ful way to which Nandini replied.

Nan-should I be?

Manik moved his head in no. After few moments Nandini said.

Nan-i can't believe that such women's actually exist.

Ma-such women's means?

Nan-not worried abt anything or anybody....... not even their husband's..........kya paisa hi sab kuch hota hai.........feelings aur peace important nhi hai?

Ma-ek baar agar log feel krne lage na toh the world would be different.........and I am not shocked to see them like this........I had the biggest person in my life like them.......

Nandini frowned while Manik continued.

Ma-nyonika..........

Nandini realised that she forgot her. While Manik further said.

Ma-sometimes I am shocked on seeing you?

Nan-mtlb?

Ma-sometimes tumhe dekh kar aisa lagta hai k kya sach mei aisi girls bhi hoti hai........coz since childhood I have seen people being careless abt everything other then themselves. I mean even I have experienced living with Aaliya.........I mean she is a mother now........ but still she doesn't cook for even her child........not that I mean that girls should be housewife........but you are different from everybody.......Aaliya loved me........but it was just love no care or something deep.........and you.........you are a women I never saw in my life.

In reply Nandini smiled and said.

Nan-thanks for the compliment.

She winked at him, then she herself twirled but when she came back to the position, their steps got mismatched coz of which unintentionally Manik's foot got placed on Nandini's saree's pleats.

Both felt the tug on her cloth, both their eyes went wide but lucky her saree didn't open, neither it got loose but Manik said.

Ma-i am so sorry........did it get open.

Nandini moved away from him saying.

Nan-it didn't........but I'll get it fixed for safer side.

Manik too bobbed his head in agreement. Nandini made way to the restroom. Manik's gaze followed all the way till Nandini got vanished in the restroom.

Nandini was careful with her saree, though it was not abt to open but still. She reached the restroom, entering in, she glanced at herself in the mirror to see her look. It was perfect. She was abt to straighten her saree but then she thought to use the loo first.

While, when Nandini headed towards the restroom, the back of the speaker started catching fire. Actually the speaker was defective but the owner of it did it's temporary repairing to save his image.

But that repairing got removed and due to continuous playing of music it got heated and started catching fire. Slowly slowly the fire increased and to the bad luck just behind it was a curtain decor.

Which caught the fire too. A waiter who was serving drinks was passing by, when he saw smoke coming from that place. He walked ahead to see the fire. He got panicked then needed and in haste tact liquor tray fell from his hand which influenced the fire more in spreading.

The falling sound made everybody to look at that direction and soon that waiter screamed.

W-AAG..........

And he ran from there, already the fire got spreaded due to the liquor, so everybody could see that. Many people got scared and started running, this created major problem, the chance of extinguishing the fire got missed and fire started spreading more.

The alcohol glasses in people's hand helped the fire more. People were getting scared due to the fire, few were trying to run handling their clothes, few were going inside of the hotel to save their loved once too.

Manik who looked at it, got worried for Nandini, he started trying to reach the restroom but the more he moved forward the more people's push made him move backwards.

The fire alarm rang too, alerting people outside too, fire brigade was informed abt the help. As the fire alarm rang, the water started pouring from the ceiling but that water was like a thin line of water spray which didn't help in 1% in extinguishing the fire.

The heat was increasing, people were getting more scared coz the fire had caught cloth decor which was falling in bits and pieces. Nandini was unaware about the entire happening as she was in the loo, while Manik was pushed outside by the public.

They were 800 guest, due to being scattered in the hall they didn't look but when they started moving out together, they were a bunch. Manik had got locked in that bunch and was pushed out or carried out by those guest unintentionally.

Manik could see the outer side of the building/hotel burning too. The fire was massive and was increasing.
