Nandini was all calm and cool, using the loo. Then she came out completely unaware abt the fire outside. She was fixing her saree when she felt few murmurs around. She chucked that and continued her work.

Soon she was walking towards the hall again. As much she was coming closer she could sense something wrong. Soon she could see smoke and now she frowned. Still she made way to the hall.

Once she reached there, she was beyond shock to see every nook and corner of the hotel burning.

Maximum guest have rescued themselves from the fire. She could feel herself to be alone in the middle of the massive fire.

The excess amount of heat had started making her sweat. The nervousness had made her body tight. Nandini was just trying to understand the destruction happening in front of her when by her side a pillar fell down.

Luckily it didn't even touch Nandini, it fell just an inch away from Nandini. Getting scared Nandini screamed and moved away.

Nan-huuuhh...........

Her eyes started searching for Manik but she couldn't see. The fire gave immense light but the black smoke cloud was creating darkness too bit by bit. She could feel a few people present in the hall. Trying to escape.

Tears made way in Nandini's eyes, feeling the end of her life with Manik. She couldn't react or act in anything as the fear of going away from Manik consumed her badly. She stood still at one place.

Outside, While being dragged out by the haunch of public, Manik was screaming on top of his voice.

Ma-NANDINI.........NANDINI.

But people's scared screams were higher than his voice. He tried to stay back in the hall, pushed people and tried walking to the opposite direction from exit but could and was bought out by stuck btwn the people.

As soon as he came to the area where he had given his car to the valet, just in front of the hotel which was now burning to turn into ashes anytime. He was free from people's hold.

Getting free, Manik tried to get in again but fire brigade had arrived and the firemen have place the dividers to stop people from coming near the hotel.

Water pipe were started and they were trying to extinguish the fire, a team of fire men entered in to rescue people if anybody is stuck. 2 men were standing to the either side of the divider trying to calm everybody down.

Such a massive fire can scar anybody. Manik still tried to cross the divider and enter in but both those men stopped him by holding both of his elbow and they said trying to stop Manik.

Men1-sir aap andar nhi jaa skte hai.........aag bahut hai.

Ma-chodo muje...........meri biwi andar hai........ I have to go.

Men2-sir hamari team andar gayi hai unhe recuse krne.........aap plz co-operate kijiye.

Ma-no.........let me go.........you don't know my wife........let me go.

Men1-sir you can't.........kahi aapki jaan khatre mei na padh jaye.

Ma-i don't care..........hatho.

Manik started wriggling in their hold, he was sweating too due to the tension regarding Nandini. While Nandini inside was just crying as if waiting for death to take her away.

To add to her misery, she saw a man getting caught by fire and he was burning, his painful screams were death scary but then she saw someone blowing air on him and the man stopped burning.

Outside, Manik pushed the fire man and entered in, without even thinking abt his life.

Nandini was just looking around when she saw a person entering in the hotel. Her heart said it was Manik but her eyes couldn't see it clearly.

Manik entered back in the hotel and realised that fire had spread bad from the time he was pushed out. He came at a safe place to look around for Nandini but due to smoke he couldn't.

While Nandini saw a glimpse of him. She whispered his name in hope.

Nan-Manik.

She was happy to see him but soon reality kicked her before she could panic for Manik, she saw him moving to a direction where she wasn't. That's why she screamed his name loud.

Nan-MANIK..........MANIK.........MANIK.

Manik who was moving to the direction stopped hearing on Nandini's scream. As now only fire was there and 2-3 people in, they could hear clearly. Manik stopped and started looking for Nandini.

After a few seconds of looking, he finally found Nandini in the depth of the hotel area. He too screamed Nandini's name.

Ma-NANDINI.

Since Nandini was looking at Manik only, she easily saw him looking back at her. Hope build up in both their hearts. Manik moved a step to go inside but was stopped by the fire man who was inside to rescue the people.

He tried pushing out Manik but Manik was resisting that's why Manik had to say and jerk his hold from him.

Ma-leave me.

Nandini's hope was breaking when she saw that fire men trying to take away Manik but a small smile came on her lips on finding Manik jerking him away.

Manik almost ran to reach Nandini, there were a few hurdles but he crossed them prefectly. He reached Nandini. Both were huffing, sweating and crying. Seeing each other safe and sound, relief spread to them.

The fire, it's heat, the smoke, the suffocation, everything vanished. They banged on each other and hugged each other tightly.

The warmth, the love, the relief, the hope. Everything got a new life. The hug got tighter and tighter, both passed their affection to each other in the hug.

Nothing else mattered any more. They never realised that how long did they stay in each other's embrace but soon Nandini realised that they are in the middle of the fire.

Nandini immediately pushed Manik a bit to break the hug. Manik was taken a back by her this action but soon he found Nandini cupping his cheeks and saying in a panicked plus worry tone.

Nan-Manik........tum andar kyu aaye.........why did you act like a stupid.

Manik too cupped her cheeks and said.

Ma-Nandini you don't worry about me..........we have to get out from here.

And with that he started looking around for a rescue, he could have escaped from where he entered but those way were blocked by thin line of fire. As he was looking around, Nandini said in btwn her sobs.

Nan-Manik........just get out of here........save yourself Manik.

But Manik didn't give importance to her words and continued to look around, Nandini again said.

Nan-stop all this Manik..........and go away from here.

Ma-have you lost it.........i am not leaving you here and going.........we will find a way to get out.

Nandini cried more and took his name as she knew they are stuck badly.

Nan-Manik.

On this Manik looked at her and cried too. He joined his head with her and both cried.

both were thinking of seeing each other for the last time. After this emotional moment. Manik got back with the will to save Nandini.

He started looking for something and finally found a metal trash can, which was laying completely fixed. He rush to it and picked it up. He removed the garbage bag and threw it away. Due to the big garbage bag, the trash can was completely clean from inside and outside too.

Picking that up, Manik came to Nandini, placing it in front of her making her frown in confusion, Manik said adding more confusion in Nandini.

Ma-just save yourself okay........and I am sorry.

Before Nandini could understand anything, Manik picked up Nandini in bridal style and put her inside the can, making her stand in it.

Nandini got the idea of what's going to happen with this that's why she said resisting.

Nan-I will not go leaving you alone here........ this is stupidity.

Ma-Nandini hamare pass time nhi hai........just get out of here.

Nan-Manik.......don't do like this.........tum chale jao.

Manik said further looking around.

Ma-Nandiniiiii.......just go.

Saying that he looked at her, Nandini was a crying mess. Manik looked at her for the last time. Tears flowed from his eyes and he said with all the truth in the world.

Ma-I love you.

Saying that he sucked her lower lips. Nandini closed her eyes as her heart was breaking. She looked at Manik once he broke their lip contact. Still with a hope of staying back instead of Manik, Nandini took his name in her crying tone.

Nan-Manik.

Ma-go.

Saying that he pressed her shoulder downwards, gesturing her to sit in. Nandini tried stopping him to see him as much as she can but Manik managed to make her sit inside the can.

Nandini fitted perfectly in it. Once she was inside, Manik gently laid the can on the floor, set it prefectly to the angle so that it doesn't get misplaced and gave a very strong push. The can started rolling and luckily it made an exit from the burning hall.

Manik's eyes were fixed on the rolling can and he was happy once he saw that it made its way outside. He started looking around for any more rescue.

While inside Nandini was crying bad. She just didn't realise when she came out. The can rolled down the stairs too of outside, that's when it banged and Nandini got a bit hurt. Not too much.

The fire men that were stopping Manik, saw a can coming. They stopped it from further rolling. That's when they saw somebody inside it. They made the can to stand again and helped Nandini in getting out.

Nandini came out crying like hell. She looked at the building/hotel and cried more as fire outside looked more bad than inside. The fire brigade water was of no help. She looked at the firemen and said in request.

Nan-my husband is inside.......please save him.

The firemen assured her abt Manik's safety and told her to stand away at a safe distance. Nandini didn't move from there that's why the other fire men took her far away from the building.

Inside, the construction was falling as it's been a long time with fire catching. Manik still haven't given up hope to not meet Nandini again. He was giving his 100% to save himself but due to smoke it was getting difficult to see and even keep his eyes open.

Outside people were leaving so that the crowd can be reduced. The owner of the hotel was there and was crying with the heavy loss, not just financially but also coz of the lives of the people in this hotel.

A life of a human cost more than everything in this world. Nandini was just crying and praying for Manik's safety. Her eyes were stuck on the entrance of the hotel.

Every min build up and broke her hope of seeing Manik the next moment but she didn't wanted to think negative. Her hopes were intact but it didn't stay intact for a very long time.

Coz one side of the building or in other words one part of the building/hotel came collapsing down, leaving behind to see the open sky. As the building fell, even Nandini fell down.

Her legs gave up seeing the building falling and also hearing that loud heart wrenching sound. The situation was so bad now, that if any person left inside had a chance to survive from the fire, had no chance of survival with the collapsing of the building.

Nandini was in deep shock, that it made her numb.
