After watching the web series, the teams now had an idea of what to do to prevent what was coming in the future and thought it best to prepare for the worse. But they couldn't so anything that the bad guys would notice otherwise they might change their plans. So, they all had to plan accordingly in order not to be noticed. But with just about a month before the festival started, they had plenty of time to plan and train before then. But aside from training they also had other tasks to do around the school to help past the time.

Michael was currently showing two new people around the school that he had rescued from an adventure he had a couple of days ago. He had shown them around the rest of the school and was currently showing them the library as it was the last place on the tour. The two people in question were wearing 1910's period clothing. One was fair-skin young woman currently wearing a blue dress with a bird button on the collar and she had short dark brown hair and light blue eyes.

And the other was a fair-skin man with light brown hair and light green eyes, wearing black jacket over a black button up work shirt with a loose red tie and black pants with small white stripes.

"This library has plenty of books on offer, so if ever feel like reading something you're interested in this is the place to do it." Michael explained to the two.

"Wow! It's so big in here!" The girl in the dress exclaimed. "And there is so many books!"

"Well, this is a big school, Elizabeth." The guy said. "So, it probably has to be big to fit all the people that attend it."

"That would be correct Booker." Michael said. "Since there are many teenagers who are attending here it only makes sense for the buildings to be this size."

The two then looked all around the library taking in everything the whole school had to offer them.

"Michael?" Booker said.

"Yes?"

"We really appreciate what you have done for us." Booker said. "Especially for me."

"Oh, that's nothing." Michael said.

"No, you gave Booker a different path to follow." Elizabeth said. "One that didn't lead him to death."

"And well... I just don't know how to repay you for all you've done for us." Booker sighed as Michael walker up to him and placed his left hand on Bookers right shoulder.

"You guys don't need to repay me." Michael reassured them. "I helped you guys out because it was the right thing to do."

The two then smiled back to Michael before they pulled him into a hug.

"Thank you." Booker said sincerely. "I'm glad we met."

"So am I." Michael replied before they split.

"Well, were going to go get something to eat you want to come along?" Booker asked.

"No, I have plans elsewhere." Michael said. "Another time thought."

"Okay, we'll see you around." Elizabeth said before she and Booker left him alone in the library but then Elizabeth stopped and turned around and surprised Michael with a kiss on the cheek causing the WW1 veteran to blush. "Take that as a small thank you from me, bye!"

Michael then watched as the two went off to go eat with his hand on the cheek she had kissed him on. He then turned around to go back to his dorm with the rest of the team but was then stopped by very annoyed looking Ruby.

"Who was that, Michael?" She asked curiously raising one of her eyebrows. (Someone plz drawl this! It's so funny!)

"Oh, just some new people to the school." Michael explained. "I was just showing them around."

"And why did the girl kiss you?" Ruby demanded.

"Well, she said it was a 'thanks' for showing them around." Michael said as Ruby blankly staired at Michael. "Look I have no interest in her if that's what you're wondering, you are the only one for me."

"Humph!" Ruby pouted. "You'd best prove that to me, over a date!"

"How about tomorrow night?" Michael asked. "I mean the rest of my team is having a night out on the town if you want to invite the others."

Ruby then turned back to look at Michael and formed a smile on her face.

"That would be nice!" Ruby said. "Oh, by the way, for our date I'm bringing a friend of my who wants to meet you."

"A friend of yours?" Michael asked.

"You'll see." Ruby said as she turned around and started walking away. "I hope you'll be prepared for tomorrow."

"Huh, I wonder who her friend is?" Michael wondered as he then started walking back to his dorm.

The next day...

After the weird meeting in the library yesterday Michael made it a goal for himself to impress not just Ruby but also whoever her friend was. He was currently in his team's dorm room getting dressed for the occasion in a light blue t-shirt and green camo shorts and his combat boots. Holstering his M1911A1 on his right hip he then made his way to the garage where the others were waiting to head out into town for the night. While walking out of the dorm room and locking the door he then saw Neo in her disguise walking in the other direction. Wanting to try and be friendly to the criminal he smiled to her and gave her a small wave of his hand and the criminal in disguise returned the gesture.

With that behind him Michael then quickly made his way to the garage expecting to see everyone there. But when he walked inside, he was surprised to see only Nick and Velvet inside dressed for the night out.

"Oh, hey Michael." Nick greeted.

"Hey Nick, where are the others?" Michael asked.

"They said they'll be here in a few minutes." Nick explained.

"Yeah, Coco is getting them dressed up for tonight." Velvet explained.

"You know what, that makes a lot of sense." Michael sighed knowing that Coco was a woman of fashion.

"Oh, by the way your shield is back from paint." Velvet said pointing over to where the shield was laying.

"Oh wonderful! Is it the way I requested it to be?" Michael asked walking up to the table where his shield was.

"I think you'll find it very fitting to you." Nick said as Michael then picked up his newly painted shield.

(Sorry, I'm not a professional artist.)

"I think it's perfect." Michael stated looking over all the details. "And it represents the branch that we fight for."

"I agree, and I think it suits you quite well." Nick stated. "Oh, that reminds me, I read over the documents and videos that were in the create you found it in."

"What did you find out?" Michael asked and Nick took out his scroll and put it on projector mode displaying the video files.

"A lot of information and even Velvet helped me out in some of the details I didn't know." Nick said gesturing to his girlfriend.

"Oh, it was no trouble." Velvet said scratching her hair. Nick then pressed on one video file revealing the shield in its unpainted form before a couple of white fang grunts fired machine guns at it but after they were done firing the shield showed no signs of damage. Then another grunt fired a flame thrower at it hoping for a different result, but again it showed no damage on it. Then finally a grunt with a rocket launcher fired a rocket that could kill a deathstalker in one hit at the durable shield hoping to break it, but as the smoke cleared the shield still stood with no damage anywhere on it.

After seeing all that Michael was speechless at the amount of damage the shield took and didn't show any signs of damage anywhere.

"How is that possible?" Michael asked.

"That's what I thought too." Nick said. "But after watching all the videos and reviewing the documents we found out that your shield is made out of a very rare and durable metal."

"What's it called?" Michael asked.

"It's called Vibranium." Velvet explained. "It's metal that is stronger than steel and only 1/3 the weight, and its completely vibration absorbent."

"What does vibration absorbent mean?" Michael asked curiously.

"It means the metal the shield is made out of can absorb almost unlimited kinetic energy without breaking apart." Velvet explained but still left Michael with a puzzled look on his face. "It means that shield is basically unbreakable."

"Oh okay, that's neat." Michael said holding the shield by its straps. "How come more stuff isn't made out the metal?"

"Because Vibranium is the rarest metal on Remnant." Nick answered. "What you have there is all the white fang had."

"Huh, well it's a good thing they didn't have more." Michael commented. Just then the side door to the garage opened revealing Ruby entering along with a new face the WW1 veteran had yet to see. It appeared to a young girl around the age of 17 or 18 with short ginger hair, green eyes, and had a pink bow on the back of her head.

"Hey we're here!" Ruby said. "Hope we're not late!"

"You're not late, the others are still getting here." Nick said making Ruby sigh in relief.

"Well, better to be early than late." Ruby said then noticing Michael. "Hey Michael."

"Hey Ruby." Michael greeted back then showing off his freshly painted shield to her. "What do you think?"

Ruby then blankly staired at the WW1 veteran and his shield before noticing a spare M1911A1 sitting on the desk right next to her. Then without even thinking she grabbed it and pointed it at the WW1 veteran. On instinct Michael brought his shield up to block his upper body as the red hair teen fired 4 shots at the shield and not surprisingly, they all deflected off the shield as the studs of the bullets fell to the ground.

"Yes, I think that works for you." Ruby said putting the pistol back on the table. Everyone else in the room then came out from where they were taking cover in case any of the bullets came at them.

"What was that all about?" Michael asked still shocked as Ruby walked up to him with the new girl behind her.

"Just testing to see if your shield was strong enough." Ruby said.

"Okay well, next time can I not be a target?" Michael asked.

"I wasn't aiming for you." Ruby pouted. "I would never shoot you."

Groaning Michael decided they should change the subject before things got out of hand.

"So, who is your friend?" He asked gesturing towards the ginger girl.

"Oh right, Michael this is Penny, Penny this is Michael." Ruby said. "This is the guy I was telling you about."

"Salutations!" Penny greeted as she shook Michaels free hand. "I've been wanting to meet you for a while."

"You know about me?" Michael asked.

"Only from what Ruby has told me about you." Penny answered.

"I see." Michael said. "Well, I hope we all get along well for years to come."

"As do I!" Penny agreed.

"Hey, don't leave me out of this group!" Ruby said. But Michael then started head patting Ruby to get her to calm down.

"Don't worry Ruby, I'm with you till the end of the line." Michael reassured her.

"Fine, but you better make it up to me tonight." Ruby said.

"Don't worry, I'm a man of my word." Michael reassured. "I'll make it up to you tonight."

"I look forward to it." Ruby said smirking.

A little while later...

The citizens of the city of vale were enjoying a nice quiet evening considering the attack that happened a few weeks ago. People were just going about their business walking around town visiting stores, eating at restaurants, and other activities as well. But as the people were going about their business some fell the ground beneath their feet rumbling slightly. Then after that the grumbling noise of car engines suddenly broke the silence of the city. Then the people then noticed a four-car convoy of cool looking cars driving into the center of the city.

The people in the city looked in awe as they saw the convoy drive through the streets of vale grabbing looks left and right wherever they went. Needless to say, the marine's new cars were attention getters to everyone in the city. The convoy's cars consisted of Michaels Challenger Hellcat, Alex's 68 dodge Charger R/T, Ryan's 70 Plymouth Roadrunner, and Nick's Dodge demon. With the marines were teams RWBY, JNPR, CFVY and Penny to join them on their night out on the town to see what they could do for fun. Ruby, Penny, and Fox were riding in Michael's Hellcat Blake, Yang and Yatsuhashi, were riding in Alex's Charger, Weiss, Coco, Nora, and Ren were riding in Ryan's Roadrunner and finally Velvet, Jaune, and Pyrrha were riding in Nicks Demon.

Soon all the cars parked in a local parking lot and everyone grouped up as they were all going to go to separate places in town.

"Alright, everyone knows who you are going with?" Nick asked.

"Yep, Ruby and Penny are with me." Michael said as the two girls joined him by his sides.

"Blake and Yang are with me." Alex said gesturing to the two girls.

"Weiss and Coco are coming with me." Ryan said as Coco wrapped her arm around him.

"I'm going with you Nick." Velvet said.

"Me and Jaune are going together." Pyrrha said holding Jaune's hand.

"Me and Ren are together!" Nora said.

"Fox and I are together." Yatsuhashi said.

"Alright, after we are done with our time here, we'll meet again here." Nick said. "Got that?"

"We got it!" Yang said. "We won't do anything we'll regret!"

"Somehow I think we're going to get into trouble anyways." Alex said sweat dropping.

"Don't worry, I'll be there to hopefully prevent something like that from happening." Blake said walk up next to the WW2 veteran.

"Thanks Blake." Alex said.

"Well then let's not waste time then!" Ruby exclaimed grabbing Michael's arm and started pulling him to somewhere else.

"Hey wait for me!" Penny cried out running after the two. The group watched as the three-person group ran off to another part of the city.

"Well, have fun everyone." Nick said before walking up to Velvet. "Shall we go Velvet?"

"You lead the way, marine." Velvet replied taking Nicks hand before the two walked away from the group as the rest of them went to their desired places in town.

With Michael, Ruby, and Penny...

The trio walked calmly down the sidewalk talking about various topics on who they were, what weapons they used in combat, and their reason for wanting to become huntsman and huntress's. Michael found it very surprising when Penny told him that she wasn't a real girl rather she was an advanced robot with her own generated aura. He found that especially shocking that someone in Atlas could create something so real and have a self-conciseness.

"I find it very breath-taking that someone like you is real." Michael said giving Penny a surprised look.

"How so?" Penny asked titling her head.

"Well for someone to be machine but still human at their core." Michael explained. "Such a thing to me seemed only like science-fiction."

"Well, she is standing right in front of you." Ruby stated pointing out Penny. "And she is machine but still human to me."

"I would have to agree with you, their Ruby." Michael added.

"Do you really think the same thing Ruby does Michael?" Penny asked looking at her left hand and it was then Michael held her hand with his.

"Penny, I don't care if consider yourself a machine and not a real girl, but you are real to me and Ruby always." Michael stated still holding her hand. "So don't hate yourself because you aren't like the rest of us, you will always be someone real to us and the rest of our friends."

Hearing those words from the WW1 veteran's mouth really made Penny feel warm and fuzzy inside her chest. It was a feeling she had never felt before and needless to say, she sort of liked it but wondered what the feeling was. It was then a faint blush appeared on her face, but she turned away to try not to show it to the two.

"Wow Michael... Ruby said something very similar to me once." Penny said. "You two really are similar."

It was then the two then blushed when they turned to look at each other and then looked away in embarrassment.

"Well, you're not wrong Penny." Ruby said.

"Yeah, me and Ruby do share some similarities." Michael added. "By the way, how did you feel watching what the future holds?"

"Well, to be honest with you... after volume 3 I felt very shocked at how I was killed." Penny said in a sad tone. "But seeing me come back in volume 7 really brought joy to me heart, after watching it all Pyrrha came to me and apologized for what she did in the volume."

"Well, it makes sense." Michael said. "But keep in mind, it was Cinder that set that up."

"Yeah, she is the one to blame." Ruby added. "Her and her colleagues."

"Yeah, I mentioned that, and it hasn't happened yet, so we have a chance to change it." Penny said.

"That we do, we still have a few weeks before the big event, so we are going to train like crazy for it." Michael said.

"Yep, got to be ready for anything!" Ruby exclaimed.

"Well then how about a small cheers moment for us?" Michael asked. "We can have another with all the others another time."

"That's a great idea!" Ruby agreed. "But where do we get drinks?"

Michael then pondered for a moment before turning to a nearby vending machine before a light bulb went off in his head. Quickly he rushed over to the machine he purchased three drinks for him and his friends to hold a small toast to victory. Passing out his two other drinks to the girls he cracks his open before holding it out.

"Well, I'm not one for speeches but let the lord above us guide us in the path to victory and give us strength where we need it the most." Michael said as the two others had their drinks open. "To victory and a better future."

"To Victory *kinks cans* and a better future." Penny and Ruby said together before they all took a sip of their drinks. That was then Michael realized something.

"Wait Penny... can you even eat or drink anything?" He asked.

"Oh, don't worry, I have a system that allows to eat or drink in order to get more energy in me." Penny said.

"Okay good." Michael said.

"Say Michael, are you going to use that shield you found in your car?" Ruby asked.

"I'm thinking I could put it to better use then the white fang could." Michael said. "I did watch one of the videos on the flash drive where a guy throws it like a frisbee and then comes back to him."

"It comes back to him?" Ruby asked. "How?"

"It's because the Vibranium metal the shield is made out of can absorb the energy from the surfaces it bounces off and stays straight when it is thrown." Penny explained. "Hence if thrown correctly can return to the user."

Ruby and Michael just blank staired at the young robot girl as she finished her explanation.

"Penny, how do you know that?" Michael asked curiously.

"I have studied the various metal types that are on Remnant." Penny answered. "And Vibranium is the most interesting of them all."

"I mean, it is the rarest metal on Remnant." Michael pointed out.

"Are you going to train with the shield to use it in the festival?" Ruby asked. Michael then thought for a moment as he thought the shield would be very useful to him.

"If I really train and hone my skills with it, I think I can make it work." Michael stated. "But it won't hurt to have a weapons expert help me, think you can give me some pointers?"

Ruby blushed a little when Michael said that as she was a weapons geek and understood how each type of weapon is to be used in combat. But then realized she could help Michael on how to throw the shield at targets and catch it when it came back to him.

"Michael... I'd be more than happy to help you." Ruby said turning to face Michael.

"Thanks." Michael replied before Penny added herself to the conversation.

"Hey mind if I help you too?" Penny asked. "I can calculate all the angles and trajectories that you can throw your shield from."

"That would be very helpful Penny!" Ruby said shockingly. "Knowing how many ways Michael could throw his shield."

"Well first I need to learn how to throw it Ruby." Michael said sweat dropping. "Lets not get too far ahead of ourselves."

"Oh, right sorry." Ruby sighed.

"It's fine." Michael replied. "Besides, I think with just a few days of practice I think I can get the hang of it."
