When they reached back to Oberoi Mansion, Rudra was surprised to notice his brother's car in the parking lot.

Seeing Khanna talking to the bodyguards near the main door, Rudra went towards him.

"Khanna, did O come early today?" Rudra asked, finding it difficult to believe.

"Yes, Rudy baba. And he is helping Jhanvi madam and Anjali madam in the kitchen now." Khanna replied still shocked with all the happenings. His Omkara baba was behaving weirdly from the moment he came from office.

"WHAT?!" Rudra shouted.

"Why are you screaming, Rudy?" Gauri asked him confused.

"Ask me why didn't I faint, Gauri. In Switzerland, my brother who didn't leave his office before 11 at night is home today before 9. Did the sun rise in the west today?" Rudra asked.

"Jaanu Aunty might have called him for something." Gauri told.

"Maybe. But I think he is here since we are here today. We will be leaving after a few days, right? So he might have thought of spending some time with us before that." Avanthika said.

"Yesterday only you came and you are already talking about leaving? Are you that desperate to go back home?" Rudra asked her pouting.

Avanthika chuckled.

"I don't know about my brother, but for me you guys are truly special. I don't know what will I do when you guys leave." Rudra said as he side hugged Avanthika.

"Don't worry. We are not going to get off your back so soon." She told him with a smirk.

"And I am not going to allow you to leave that soon too." He replied.

Both of them grinned and hugged each other.

Gauri and Khanna smiled seeing their bond.

"Hello? Now shall we go inside?" Gauri asked them as they parted from the hug.

"Ah! Let us go and see what's wrong with my brother today." Rudra said.

They chuckled and went inside.

By the time they had entered the kitchen, dinner was all set to be served.

Rudra suspiciously watched his brother as he removed his apron.

"What?" Asked Omkara.

"Why are you so early today? And what are you doing here?"

"Oh hello? This is my home too. I will come whenever I want and I will do whatever I want. Who are you to question me?" He asked back with a frown.

"I am your younger brother and I have every right to question you." Rudra argued back.

"If you are my younger brother then stay as a younger brother. Don't act as if you are elder to me." Omkara told him.

"When did I act as an elder brother. I just asked you why you are early today. Is that a problem now? Didn't you use to ask me the same when I used to come late from college?"

"That was different. I was concerned about you that time. And how can you compare this with that?"

"Nothing is different, O. I am also worried about you. Suddenly coming early from office and helping Mom in the kitchen. Something is definitely wrong."

"What is wrong with you, Rudra? Are you trying to say that I should not come to my home? And what's the issue with me helping my mother in the kitchen?" Omkara asked him angrily.

"When did I say-"

"STOP IT BOTH OF YOU!" Jhanvi shouted.

Omkara and Rudra abruptly stopped their argument.

"Kya Jaanu Aunty? Why did you stop them? It was so much fun-"

Avanthika hissed when Gauri pinched her hand.

"Shut up!" Gauri whispered.

"Both of you have already reached the age of becoming father to two kids but still fighting like nursery kids. When will you two grow up?" Jhanvi angrily asked her sons.

"TWO KIDS?" Rudra shouted.

"Seriously, Mom?" Omkara asked her ridiculously.

"Keep your mouth shut and go freshen up, both of you. Within 15 minutes I want you both to be seated in the dining room. Or else get ready to witness what an angry mother can do." Jhanvi sternly told them.

Omkara and Rudra stared at each other for a moment before Rudra ran out from the kitchen for his life.

Omkara rolled his eyes, but then went to his room seeing his mother staring at him.

Anjali shook her head with a smile and asked Gauri and Avanthika to freshen up as well.

Twenty minutes later, when Gauri and Avanthika reached the dinning area, Omkara and Rudra were already seated opposite to each other.

The centre most chair was occupied by Daadi. To her both sides, sat Jhanvi and Anjali. Omkara was seated beside Jhanvi, and Rudra near Anjali.

Avanthika quickly sat beside her new best friend, Rudra and started talking with him.

Seeing Omkara smiling at her, Gauri smiled back and sat beside him.

Soon servants started serving the food and everyone started eating.

Gauri didn't know whether it was because of her fondness to chicken dishes or the chicken curry was so delicious, that she couldn't stop herself from eating it again and again.

"Jaanu Aunty, this chicken curry is so amazing. How did you make it so tasty? Mumma, please take the recipe from her before we go. I definitely want to learn making this." Gauri said.

"If you want the recipe, then ask the person who actually made it." Anjali told her daughter, smiling.

Gauri looked at her mother confused.

"What? If not Jaanu Aunty, then who ma-"

She stopped in shock realising who might have made it. She turned to her side, only to see Omkara grinning at her.

"No way." She whispered with her eyes widened.

Omkara raised his eyebrows at her.

"You can cook too?"

He shrugged at her with a smile.

Seeing her still still staring at him in shock, he chuckled and gestured her to eat.

Just after dinner, Gauri received a phone call from her father. She went to the balcony to attend the call.

After hanging up the call, she was sitting on the swing when Omkara came and sat beside her.

Gauri looked at him surprised as he handed over a cup of hot chocolate to her.

"Since you were so impressed by my cooking skills, here you go. Hot chocolate made by Omkara Singh Oberoi himself." He said grinning at her.

Gauri chuckled and took the cup from him.

"Thank you for this, but Avanthi is the one who loves to eat sweet dishes just after having food."

"Don't worry. I had made it for everyone and I gave her myself. Avanthi might have finished it already." Omkara told her as he took a sip from his own cup.

Gauri smiled with a sigh as she stared at him. The more she gets to know him, the more she was liking him.

Omkara turned to her and was pleasantly surprised to see her staring at him.

"What? Why are you looking at me like that?" He asked her chuckling.

"How multi-talented you are? You are a well-known, respected and hardworking businessman, a talented and passionate artist and now an amazing chef. What more layers do you have that I don't know?" She asked him in wonder.

Omkara chuckled and then smiled.

"Gauri, I believe that whatever we do, we should do it with love and passion, with full attention and awareness. In my case, when I am at work, I give my full concentration to it. Painting is my hobby, and I rarely paint now. But even then whenever I paint, I never let anything, even business matters, interfere me there. It's the same with cooking too. The only thing that matters is that, we should be able to put all we have into even the smallest of acts."

Gauri smiled. The way he had said the whole thing made her understand that whatever he do, it is only because he loves to do it. Not because he is obliged or forced to do it.

Avanthika stopped in surprise seeing Omkara and Gauri talking while sitting on the swing. She smiled when she saw her sister laughing hearing something said by Omkara.

Seeing Rudra going to the balcony without noticing them, Avanthika quickly held him back.

"What-"

"Shhhhhhhhhh." Avanthika whispered and gestured him to look at the swing.

Rudra stopped in shock seeing them.

"If this is how it is going, then there will be no need for us to play cupid among them, Avanthi. All our plans will go in vain." Rudra pouted.

"What are you saying, bhaiyya? Isn't it good that they are getting to know more about each other and kinda started liking each other? Whichever way, we just wanted them to be together, right? Why not like this? And we still do have enough time to play cupid for them. Don't worry about that." Avanthika said consoling him.

"You are right, Avanthi. We still have our much needed time. Let's go, we don't want to disturb them now, do we?" Rudra asked grinning at her.

Avanthika chuckled and went from there with him.

Flashback

OBEROI GROUP OF COMPANIES

"Good that I have someone with me this time as it's my brother's case now and striking the cupid arrow straight at my brother's heart is kind of difficult." Rudra said grinning at his crime partner.

"Don't worry, bhaiyya. I am here, right? So everything is going to be perfect." Avanthi said with a smirk.

"It's not going to be that easy, Avanthi. Like I said earlier, my brother is always stuck up with his work. Love is not his cup of tea from whatever I know." Rudra said expressing his concern.

"If we look at things like that then it is difficult even in the case of Gauri di. But whatever may the situation be, our job is to provide chances for them to feel the spark and make them realise if there is anything special between them. Rest everything is in God's hands."

"Hope everything goes well." Rudra said with a smile.

Avanthika passed him a reassuring smile.

Inside Omkara's cabin

"Avanthi, why are you not speaking anything?" Rudra asked her after booking the tickets.

"I'm busy with the planning." Avanthika told him, without thinking.

Rudra looked at her wide-eyed.

"What planning?" Gauri asked her confused.

Avanthika realised her slip of tongue and looked at Rudra, who was looking at her disapprovingly.

"What else? Making plans for our outing today." Avanthika shrugged at her, acting normal.

"But we already made our plans, right?" She asked raising one of her eyebrows.

"Diii, why are you acting like a CBI officer now?" Avanthika thought, mentally cursing her sister.

She was about to open her mouth to speak, when Rudra, who understood that there were high chances for their entire planning to be doomed for once and all, intervened.

"Uffo, you guys! Now don't start with your fight. We should leave now." Rudra said just as Omkara came back with the washed plate.

After packing back everything, they came out to the parking area.

"For god's sake Avanthi, please don't ruin everything even before we start with our planning." Rudra whispered to her as they walked to the car.

"I'm sorry. I agree it was my mistake but you shouldn't have asked me that question. Then this could have been avoided."

Rudra scowled at her, who in turn cheekily smiled at him.

After they entered, Rudra started the car. As the car moved out of the building, Omkara waved his hand at them.

He smiled at Gauri, who turned to look at him through the window.

Gauri smiled and waved back at him.

Omkara sighed with a smile, reminscing all the things that Gauri told him that day.

Rudra and Avanthika grinned at each other, seeing Gauri smiling to herself in the car.

Flashback ends

"Can I ask you something?" Gauri asked him.

Omkara nodded.

"Rudy told that when you were in Switzerland, you never came from office this early. Why was that so?" She asked him curiously.

"It's not like that. I did use to come home early but at times I had to stay a little more late due to the overload of work. Usually I come home around 10p.m, but since I love working, sometimes I tend to forget about my surroundings and time while working. In such cases, I will end up coming late to home." He told her embarrassingly.

Gauri shook her head at him.

"You are proving yourself to be a workaholic again and again, Mister." She told him with a smile.

Omkara chuckled at that.

"Omkara, you told you come back home around 10p.m, but you were earlier than that today. Why so?" Gauri asked him curiously.

"Because someone just told me today about the importance of family in our life and how much they love spending time with us. So I thought why not spend some time with my family today." Omkara said smiling at her.

Gauri looked at him surprised.

"Thank you, Gauri. Today I realised how much my mother missed me all these years. I could meet Dad at office and Rudra also comes there whenever he wishes to. But Mom, even though she used to come to office to give me my food or for something else, I couldn't spend time with her enough. Today in the kitchen, I wondered when was the last time we cooked together happily like that. The happiness I saw in her face is something, which I will never be able to forget in my life. I realised it was something I was craving to see since forever. I feel so guilty for not giving my time and love to her. I don't know how will I thank you for this, Gauri. If not for you, this would not have happened. A simple thank you won't be enough, but still thank you so much, Gauri." Omkara told her sincerely.

Gauri smiled at him as she kept her cup on the side of the swing.

"First of all, you don't have to thank me and secondly, you don't have to keep feeling guilty about it. You can't go back and change everything in the past, but if you want you can make your present and future the best."

Omkara smiled at her gratefully.

"But as a daughter of a businessman, I can understand it is difficult for you to find the time to spend it with your family. In my Papa's case, somedays he comes home really late and Mumma doesn't sleep till he comes back. Even if Papa tells her to go to sleep, she will still stay awake. Even though she never complains, he feels very sorry about it. He compensates it to her by spending his off days completely with her doing her favourite things, for example eating ice-cream and pani puri from the street stalls. He hates it saying roadside foods are unhygienic but still he will buy it for her at that time. On a side note, there are exceptions too, if he fails to inform her earlier that he will be late then God knows what will happen. She would be super mad and Papa will have a hard time in pacifying her. So yeah, whenever you can, do something which Jaanu Aunty likes the most. I am sure she will be so happy with just that. You can use my Papa's tricks too but don't tell him that I told you his secret." Gauri told him chuckling.

"Thank you for the tips, Gauri. Now, I can use it in my life too whenever needed." Omkara told with a grin.

"Maybe you can use it with your wife too." Gauri told him cheekily.

Omkara rolled his eyes.

"Not you too, Gauri. What is with you guys hell bent on getting me married?" He asked her.

"You will have to get married one day so why not now? And Jaanu Aunty also needs a daughter-in-law with whom she can complain about you." Gauri told him again cheekily.

"You are here, right? What's the need of someone else?" Omkara shrugged.

Gauri looked at him shocked.

Seeing her shocked, Omkara realised what he had said.

"I... I mean for the time being you are here, right? And Anju Aunty and Avanthi are also here. So she can complain as much as she wants about me with you all." He said with a nervous smile.

Gauri nodded her head but unknowingly blushed at what he said earlier.

Seeing her blushing, a small smile crept in his face.

Gauri looked away seeing him smile and blushed. She again looked back only to see him smiling at her.

Omkara chuckled and Gauri joined him shortly.
