"Luka?"

 "Yes, dear?"

   "I  think it might be time."

  "Time?" Luka asks.

 "Yes, I am having contractions."

   
  Luka grabs her bag and takes it to the car. He puts her in the car, locks the door to the house, gets in the car, and drives her to the hospital. He fails to pay attention to the speed limit. He feels so nervous about his baby on the way.

      The police siren goes off...

     "Sir, pull over."

   Luka does as he is told. His wife groans in pain.

     "Officer, I am sorry. It was an accident. I did not mean to speed. Honest, I was trying to get my pregnant wife to the hospital. The baby is coming soon."

    The officer sees Kagami's tears. He can tell she will not be able to hold on much longer.

      "I will have to assist with the birth."

   "What?"

  Luka puts on the emergency blinkers. The officer enters the car. He assists Kagami.

     Kagami gives birth in the back seat.  Luka hands over a blanket.

    "Thanks ever so much officer."

   "You are welcome. Congratulations you two, you have a healthy son!"

    The officer leaves and goes on his way glad to have been able to help such a nice couple.

   Luka takes Kagami and the baby to the hospital. Once inside, the nurses gasp. They remove the umbilical cord carefully. They weigh the young boy.

     "He was born ten minutes ago, Luka tells them."

   The nurses nod their heads. A doctor hands the mother a birth certificate. It has the information for the date, time, and baby's weight on it.

   Kagami fills out the rest.

    "Kevin Scott, huh?"

   "Yes, I hope you do not mind. I named the baby after the nice officer that helped us."

"Sure dear, that is alright."

"At least the Kevin part is after the officer, the Scott after my father."

    "Your father?"

  "Yes."

    After they are given a clean bill of health, Kagami and Kevin, and Luka get some much-needed rest. The next day, they all go home.

   Luka helps Kagami to the rocking chair in Kevin's room.

     Kagami smiles as she feeds him while Luka fixes them all some food.

          "Luka?"

   "Kagami, you ok?"

"Yes, Kevin and I are both great. Dear, I love you."

"I love you too."
