"I- That's something that I didn't see coming, especially from you",he said with his face screaming happiness and surprise.

"Oh, I'm sorry I didn't mean to- I..",Abhi cut her off.

"Woah, woah! I didn't mean it in a negative way, Ekantha! I am happy to hear it from you",he said and gave her a big smile.

She just smiled a little and looked at him.

"Tadaa, I am here!",Mayuri came in with a bowl of maggie and another bowl of soup.

"This is for you, my lord",Mayuri said while handing the soup to Abhi.

"And this is for you, Ekantha! I'm sorry but I dont know how to make anything else and amma went to sleep because she has headache",Mayu said giving her best possible puppy eyes.

"Why did you take so much trouble, Mayu? I just had dinner, I'm not hungry also",Ekantha said worriedly.

"It's no trouble, take it as a treat from your best friend",Mayu said and smiled at her.

"But-",before Ekantha could speak something Abhi interrupted.

"Oh my goodness, you made this? For me? Are you planning to get rid of your dear brother already, Mayu? I want to live for some more years",Abhi said and Mayu hit him.

"We're like this only, Ekantha! You have some maggie",Abhi said to which Ekantha nodded.

"Why don't you get a bowl for you as well, Mayu? We'll share. I'm sure I can't complete this whole bowl",Ekantha said while Mayu looked at Abhi and he nods. She rushes to the kitchen and gets a bowl for herself.

"Why don't we call, Anika and Dikshit upstairs as well? They've been waiting there since long",Abhi suggests.

"I did, but they said they wouldn't come as it doesn't feel appropriate",Ekantha said while biting her lips.

"Okay, as they wish",Abhi said.

Ekantha, Abhimanyu and Mayuri had some light dinner together while cracking jokes, pulling each other's leg. Mayuri maintained her boundaries while involving Ekantha in their jokes and teasings, she knew Ekantha was not comfortable with such things. They had a happy dinner and Ekantha felt home with them.

Home is never the building, the room but the people who make us feel like it. Fortunately or unfortunately Ekantha had very less people in her life who made her feel home and she was thankful for the ones who are there.

Mayu was going to collect the dishes but Ekantha opposed and took the empty bowls.

"This way, Ekantha! Wait, this is the first time you're coming to home right? Give this to me, I'll do it later. I'll give you a home tour",Mayuri said and left Ekantha with no choice.

"So that is living room and this is kitchen obviously and the one which we were in was Abhi annaya's room",Mayu started and went towards the opposite to Abhi's and tried to open the door but it was locked.

"Uh, oh! Seems like amma locked it. Its our parents room. Its so cute, next time when you come here I'll show it to you then. This is my room",she said moving to the room just beside it.

She opened the door to see a small sized room with a study table and the wall filled with motivational quotes and a few pictures of celebrities. A rack filled with books and another filled with clothes. A single sized bed which had bed sheet spread on it neatly. Some fairy lights and two plants near the window.

"I like your room, Mayu! It's simple and aesthetic. I love you room",Ekantha said.

"I love my room, it just have things I need and its very peaceful because of this little window and the garden just beside it, it completes everything",she says and smiles.

"By the way, isn't uncle home?",Ekantha asks.

"Dad is on an office trip to Delhi",Anika answers her question.

After showing her the garden and the guest room, Ekantha and Mayuri go back to Abhi's room to see him in his green colour hoodie and track pants.

"I'll accompany you till the car",he says and Ekantha nods.

"Mayu, you stay back! Did amma go to sleep?",Abhi asks Mayuri

"Yes annaya, if you don't ask me to stay back also, I will stay back because p r i v a c y you know?",she says and giggles.

"Hey, its not~",before he could complete she moved towards Ekantha and hugged her.

"It was amazing to have you with us and I am sure it made annaya feel so much better. Stay in touch and reach home safe. Bye bye, Ekantha",she said.

"Bye Mayuri, Honestly thank you for taking efforts and making maggie for me. That's really sweet of you. I'll definetely stay in touch. Please inform aunty, I don't want to disturb her sleep",Ekantha said.

Both Abhi and Ekantha made a move and they were walking towards the car which was parked on the other side of the lane. Their hands were brushing with each other and neither of them said anything or did something and let it be.

Walking with him, made her forget everything that was in her head atleast for that period of time. She came there with the worst possible thoughts and ended up having the best times with him and of course his sister as well.

They reached the road and had to cross the road, he exchanged sides with her and moved towards the side the vehicles were coming from and the both of them crossed road. After moving to the other side, he switched sides and just walked.

Every action was noticed by Ekantha. She was feeling overwhelmed. Little things matter and that's what she was feeling to tell at the world at that moment.

They reached to the car to see Dikshit and Anika standing on one side and busy on their phones. Acknowledging the presence of both of them, they turned off their phones.

"Hi, Abhi garu",Dikshit said and shook hands with Abhimanyu.

"Hi.. You're..... Dakshit right?",Abhi asked still unsure of the name since he met him only once.

"Nope, Dikshit",he said and Abhi smiled awkwardly.

"I'm sorry, couldn't remember! Next time, will definitely keep in mind",Abhi said.

"Oh, don't apologize! It's understandable, we barely met and yeah",he said trying to ease the situation.

"Hi, Abhi garu! How are you doing now? Ekantha was telling that you were sick",Anika asked.

"I'm doing better, Anika. Thank you for asking",he said and gave her a warm smile.

"We'll take leave now, it's getting late and you need to rest as well",Ekantha said while into his eyes and his attention moved towards her as well. Giving both of them some space Anika and Dikshit got into the car.

"I'll miss you and take care of yourself. Looking at your face, I can tell that you're rest deprived. Text me when you reach home, I'll be up till then. Yeah?",he said.

"No, you please have your medicine and go back to sleep, Abhi. I'll reach home safe don't worry. If you need anything to help with, let me know and I'll be happy to help",she said.

"You have a lot on your plate right now, and yes I do need some help from you. Just take care of yourself and if you feel like talking I'm a text and call away remember that",he said and she nodded.

"Bye",she said and he waved at her mouthing bye.

Ekantha got into the car, and looked back to find him still being there just like everytime. She smiled at him and he smiled back at her and waved once again.

The car started and as they moved farther and farther, his figure vanished from her eye sight.
