"So Minister, what is the reason that you have called the Jaegers here?" Esdeath questioned the fat guy.

"I would like to inform you and your subordinates that we will be having a new group of Teigu users that my son, Syura here had gathered and formed to protect the Empire." The Minister stated with a smile that is not so pure at all.

"Another group? But aren't we the Jaegers enough? We don't need any more of them!" Seryu interfered.

"Now, now, enough you say? Don't you have lost like almost half of your team to the enemies, hm? And even if you managed to capture two members of Night Raid alive, the price to pay are the cost of your colleagues' lives." Syura stated with a smirk.

"He is right, as expected from my son." The Minister began to laugh.

"I would like to know who they are, Minister." Esdeath calmly stated.

"All right, Syura, if would you be so kind to let them show themselves to the Jaegers?" The Minister gestured.

"Okay then." Syura then snapped his fingers as a signal for his team to introduce themselves.

"Jaegers, meet Wild Hunt. The new group that will accompany you on protecting the Empire!"

Five people came out and appeared before us, Syura had a smirk as he looks at Esdeath. The way he looks at her just makes me want to ruin his face so badly. Now I finally know why I hate him. He easily gets under my nerves.

"So this is the Empire's special force, eh?" The girl with the ribbon on her head stated.

"Now I want the five of you to introduce yourselves to us." The Minister requested.

"This girl here is Dorothea. She's great an experimenting things so you can rely on her with that." Syura said.

"I can introduce myself, I don't need your help." Dorothea glared at her.

"Whatever, it's faster when I do it." Syura waved his hand at her.

"My name is Cosmina! My lovely voice can make your heart sway once you hear it!" The girl wearing bunny ears said.

"This is Champ, he is a clown responsible for mass massacres of children in other places." Syura pointed at the fat clown.

I then noticed something on Run, I looked at him and saw that he is having a face showing discomfort. I wonder if he has a thing with that Champ guy.

"Enshin here is a former pirate before I found him in the eastern seas. And lastly, Izou, a master swordsman." Syura finished.

I guess that's all of Wild Hunt. Why do they even have to be formed, with less members or not, we Jaegers can do this job on our own. Man, what has that stupid Minister been eating lately?

"Nice to meet you Esdeath, didn't expect to meet you here in person." Dorothea approached Esdeath and stood in front of her.

"Yeah, it was also nice to meet you here." Esdeath gave her a twisted look.

"Now that's done, I'm going back to accompanying the Emperor. I expect both Wild Hunt and the Jaegers to cooperate well." The Minister began walking away.

Once the Minister is finally out of sight, Esdeath took a step forward and continue to look at Wild Hunt with the look she was giving Dorothea a moment ago.

"I look forward to working with you six starting from now.. Jaegers, let's go." Esdeath ordered us.

We then followed her out of the area, Syura was giving us the smirk he was showing a while ago. I couldn't help but point the blade of Zytten at his neck. Izou reacted by pointing his sword at me and Enshin aiming his pistol at my head.

"I am going to kill you if you make that disgusting face of yours the next time I see it." I threatened him.

"Oh? I'm the Minister's son, if you kill me, the Empire will have you decapitated." Syura smirked.

"Shut up, I said don't make that face." I gritted my teeth.

"Vlad, that's enough, let's go." Esdeath called for me.

I let out a tch before lowering my scythe and following the others. I gave one last gaze at them and saw that Syura is still having the smirk. I really want to kill him. We soon got back to our assembly room and I stomp my way to one of the chairs and sat down. The rest took a seat as well and I could tell even if I'm not looking at them, that their eyes had laid upon me. I can hear Esdeath approaching me until she stopped beside me, I looked up at her and she's wearing a look of agitation.

"You shouldn't cause a scene, Vlad. I didn't expect that it would be you who will do it, seeing as how you're a quiet and behaved person." She said to me.

"I apologize for creating such inconveniences to you, Captain. I'll try my best to restrain myself to not let such an event happen again." I formally apologized.

"Good, now onto our little group discussion. How are the two captured Night Raid members doing at the moment?" She asked.

"They are currently in a good state, ma'am. The two seem to not cause any troubles for us at all." Run said.

"That's a relief to know. Now I have a favor to ask all of you, I want you four to keep an eye on Wild Hunt. Seeing as how untrustworthy that group is to me, we might not realize that they are hiding something suspicious to us." Esdeath explained.

"Yes ma'am!" We said in sync.

"I have a question, Captain." Seryu raised her hand.

"What is it, Seryu?" Esdeath looks at her.

"With the two Night Raid members with us, what are we going to do to them? Shouldn't we execute them already while we have control over them?" She said.

"Like Vlad said days ago, he has complete control over them. Meaning, they won't do anything dangerous to us. So I guess using them for our mission is better." Esdeath answered.

"That's all I want to know. Thank you for answering, Captain." Seryu said.

"So do you have any missions you can give to us, Captain? We will gladly accept it as the Jaegers." Wave suggested.

"Right now, we don't have to deal with anything. Enjoy this day for now and rest, I still have a few matters to take care of." Esdeath walks away and exits the room.

This leaves the four of us, it was complete silence between the four of us. No one uttering a single word, I was the first to stand up, which grabbed the other three's attention. Grabbing my Teigu, I started to head towards the door to leave.

"Where are you going, Vlad?" Wave asked.

"Just gonna take a walk around the Empire. Wanna join me?" I asked, looking back at them.

"I would gladly accept your offer. Seeing as I have nothing to do at the moment." Run stood up and walked towards me.

"See ya two later. We'll be back before nightfall." I waved my hand without looking back and got out of the room with Run walking beside me.

On our way out of the palace, the two of us were in utter silence. I guess me and Run really aren't that close, I'm fine with that either way. At least he isn't like that bastard of a guy called Syura. We then somehow pass by one of the members of Wild Hunt, I think her name was Cosmina? I don't care, we only quietly walked past her but before we did, she gave us, no, me a smile.

That smile almost made me shiver, I hate it when someone smiles at me like that, especially if it isn't genuine. Only ignoring her, we finally got out of the palace and are walking towards the town.

"Aren't you gonna get some citizens to look at you with suspicion, seeing as how you're holding your Teigu?" Run said.

"I don't care, just let then think what they think of them. It won't hurt, will it?" I said looking at him.

"I'm curious, that moment when you'll almost cause a scene with the Minister's son, do the two you have anything against each other?" He asked.

"Not really, I only hate him. For some reason whenever he makes such face, he gets under my nerves somehow, and I couldn't help but wanting to kill him." I explained.

"I see. I gotta say, Wild Hunt seem a little suspicious to me. And that Champ guy, I have a feeling that he's... nevermind." He didn't finished his sentence and just cut the topic there.

"I'm going to one of the bakeries around here and get something to eat. " I said.

"I'll go with you, might as well get something to eat as well." Run said.

The two of us head to a bakery and bought some sweets. We ended up staying on one of the vacant tables around the area and continue to eat our food. While doing so, I began to think.

Maybe I should discreetly investigate Wild Hunt for the next few days, or weeks. I just had a feeling that they might be up to something.
