Review: Over The Moon

Just finished watching one of the most recent films to come out of Netflix called Over The Moon.

The film, while distributed by Netflix, is actually made by Pearl Studio, the creators of Abominable, without DreamWorks involved, and the animation is by Sony Pictures Imageworks, which is responsible for every Sony Pictures Animation film ever. Well, except Open Season 3, I think. And Surf's Up 2 and Open Season: Scared Silly.

This film is beautiful. You will cry. I almost did. It's such this radiant visual perspective of color that it looks beautiful if you were ever there.  For people who don't have Netflix, BUY IT. Who cares if you have the Disney+ bundle and are waiting for Trollstopia so bad?! This will pass the time.

The animation is gorgeous. It is spectacular. I may be going off on a tangent, but it took 117 people in the Animation Department alone to work on this movie. And you will not regret it. And I counted during the credits!

It's a light show of spectacular beauty, and for that department, it took 71 people there! If you want me to count the whole thing, I will think about it for you.

Anyway, the story is somewhat mediocre but it does great with that and takes it in ways that you don't see coming. And the opening is beautiful.

The acting is nice, but it's not as beautiful. The acting is good, but there's just only one part that made me cringe a tiny bit. Other than that, the acting is nice.

The film is kinda a musical. And they do great with the songs. They are so catchy, you'll wanna listen to them on your headphones at school.

In conclusion, the movie is ultra luminary. I didn't say that, the movie did. The Animation and Lighting is gorgeous, the songs are spectacular, and the story and acting is pretty good. I give it a 9/10. You won't regret it.
