Leonardo/Lion (TheSilentKiller-) (imma do this twice in a row cuz why not)

I sighed in relief.

I thought she's dead. That single pulse made me feel comfortable, knowing that she's alive.

I touched her left palm, and I felt another, faint pulse.

"Guys... More..." Storm reminded us of the guards blocking the way.

Athaliah immediately went to work with the guards, with Persephone helping a second later.

"Guys, we gotta get out of here... Alive," I told the group. I'm doing this... for the sake of Nev's survival.

"How...? All the exits are basically blocked," Ray pointed out.

"You could just teleport out of here," I reminded him.

He replied, "Yeah, but I can't teleport through iron. This base is heavily fortified with iron, and iron blocks radiation, even gamma rays, and I use radiation to teleport."

I didn't know he was that of a nerd, but eh.

I didn't know how he uses radiation, to be honest. But I shook the non-sense radiation thing off my head.

"There's gotta be an exit," Jay reassured us, "If there's an entrance, there's an exit."

"Then explore the base. Free more Projects if there are anymore left. But our main mission is to find an exit," I ordered, although I'm nowhere close to being the leader of the group.

"What's the plan?" Storm asked.

I sighed, "Just wing it." We then started to run, with me carrying Nev, Athaliah and Persephone clearing our way through.

"But what exactly is the plan?!" Storm called out as she ran, too.

The plan is to save Nev and get the Nether out of here.

We passed by a cafeteria. There were not much people there, except the cashiers and the chefs and the waiter/waitresses.

As much as I wanted food, I also wanted to get out of here.

We ran past the cafeteria and ran through another maze of hallways and doors.

Persephone

I kicked a guard right in his bottoms, causing him to flinch in pain.

I then looked back at Leonardo, who was carrying Nev along the way.

I really like the fact that Lion is doing everything for Nev's survival. I knew that carrying her weight is hard enough, but yet Lion still carries her, despite the circumstances. I am not Nev or Lion or Cupid, but I can see it. The sacrifice is right there.

I focused back to work and threw my ice daggers at distant guards. Athaliah whipped her bow and shot at two guards with one arrow.

Nice shot.

I then ran across a room, filled with Redstone machines and other things that is extremely complexive to look at.

I didn't have time to examine the room more carefully as tons of guards seemed to appear and stop us.

They were not just personnel in blue uniforms.

They were wearing iron armor.

Hmm... This base is having a guards galore... eh?

I smacked a guard's face using my kick. It took a few tries, but it happened. I then gripped my katana and slashed on another guard. It took a few hits, but finally got through.

I also noticed Athaliah having trouble with the heavily-armored guards.

The guards then whipped out their diamond swords and cornered us in one corner.

One tried to slash above me, but I blocked it. Another guard gave me a slash, but nothing my katana couldn't handle!

But I do need help over here...

"Guys!" Athaliah screamed as she tried to take on the guards 12v1.

I focused on the guards as I saw Jay and Storm had come over to help. Jay used his diamond axe to completely destroy one guard. Storm used her signature rod against the guards, but with their iron armor, that almost didn't do anything at all.

I stabbed a guard right in his guts, then dodged another swipe. Due to the fact that I'm cornered, it was hard dodging. But I managed.

Milarite later came, and killed the guards. It was hard, but she managed. Her face doesn't really show any expression though.

I jumped and kicked two guards at the same time, causing them to be knocked off, as if they got hit with Knockback II.

I then hacked my katana over another guard's chest.

The odds turned to my favor as I annihilated more guards, either by karate or my katana or my dagger. I saw Athaliah getting the hang of it as well.

Athaliah and I regrouped as we killed more enemies. And we are not backing down, not this time.

I do admit that Athaliah and I are great battle partners though... Fire and ice, backing each other up. Sounds nice, actually (although Athaliah is technically a phoenix).

Jay, Storm, and Milarite went back-to-back and wiped out the guards with Jay's diamond weapons, Storm's rod, and Milarite's crystal weapons.

I do wonder how many guards does this place have...

But I did notice that Lion is nowhere to be found...

I looked back the hallway and saw Lion being surrounded by six guards. Lion fought well, but he was still lifting Nev, so he was having trouble.

I ran to help him. I slashed my katana at guards. I admit that the iron armor is what really made it harder.

An arrow whizzed past me, and it hit a guard right in the face (which was not protected by the helmet).

I looked and saw Athaliah with her bow, another arrow notched.

Milarite later threw her projectiles at three guards. Because it was made of crystals (or minerals), it can easily pierce iron really easily.

Athaliah's arrow finished off one guard.

I asked Lion, "You need help?"

"Nah, I got this," he replied, although I could clearly see that he needs help.

There were less guards now, but we decided to finish them off.

I ran through another room that was labeled "Emergency Exit".

Oh my Notch, finally...!

I was delighted to see the label as we ran straight through.

I then saw Redstone wiring surround the room. On the center of the room were four pillars made of quartz mark the corners of a certain area. The pillar quartz were labeled "Proudly made by SpigoTech".

I then recalled that SpigoTech was currently the most prominent of all the science facilities and the most trusted, with their various breakthroughs in Minecraftian technology.

And I knew that SpigoTech was not the creator of all Projects. They only specialize in technology, not biology.

I wonder what this machine is...

"Guys, this is a teleportation machine!" Ray exclaimed.

"How did you know?" Storm asked.

"Because I just knew. Now let's go!"

Ray led us inside the marked area. I went in next, then Athaliah, then Jay and Storm, behind them was Lion with Nev, and lastly came Milarite.

I wonder why Milarite always come in last...

"Brace yourselves!" Ray warned us. More guards appeared in the doorway, with their bows ready. Ray threw something at a lever I hadn't noticed.

The guards released their arrows. I prepare myself for the impact.

But I heard a lever flicker, and a very strong, white light appeared around us, causing me to scrunch my eyes.

I then felt myself disappear and appear in a matter of one second.

Wait... am I actually teleporting...?

Fun Facts:

1. SpigoTech is actually a reference to Spigot, which basically provides plugins for a server, aside from Bukkit.

2. Speaking of references, I didn't resist to add another one, wait, TWO in this chapter. If you found it, congrats.

3. The idea of Nev's "my life is trash" thing is actually part of what Choco sent me. I won't tell exactly what it is, though.

But here's the kicker; I actually didn't thought of her nearly dying! As I plan the story on-the-spot, I felt like "Why not make Nev come face-to-face with death? And see how she goes through it."

I thought of like that because I thought I was giving Athaliah more exposure to the spotlight (sorry Naomi!). But I wanted to even things out, so I thought of that idea (and don't worry, every character will get his/her own show!)

Oh, and I decided to add Lion into Nev's spotlight so I don't have to do separate spotlights for each person.

But I decided that the most fun (and evil) way to give them a spotlight is to ship the Ship Chancellor with Lion! XD

4. I don't have anymore facts since Chapter 11.
