As Barry and Lila descend the stairs, she turns to him.

Lila: And here I thought you didn't want to be partners with me.

However, Barry's expression takes on a more serious demeanor.

Barry: Lila, you and I need to talk.

Lila: Okay, go ahead.

Barry: Not here.

He takes her to the locker room, stopping in front of his locker.

Lila: Well, I'm listening.

Barry: Alright, I've talked to Marinette about what you said about her.
And she told me about the trouble you stirred up for her and Adrien.

Lila becomes irritated by the statement. Her jaws clenched.

Lila: Oh did she, now?!

Barry holds his hand up.

Barry: Let me finish. So, after I did some digging and research. I found out that Marinette was right, you are a liar.

A look of disbelief falls on Lila's face,
and she starts to ball her fists in anger.

Barry: But…I don't care. You probably have your reasons for why you lie. And whatever those reasons may be, it's your business, and I won't ask you.

Lila is taken aback by Barry's response. That wasn't what she expected him to say.

Lila: What?!

Barry: Look Lila, you might be a liar.
But that doesn't make you any different than the millions of people who lie, every single day.
We've all tell a lie at some point, I know I've had to.

Lila: So, you know I'm a liar, but you're fine with it?

Barry: Well, I'm not exactly okay with
how your lies affect the people around you. But, unlike Marinette, I know that you're not just lying for lying's sake. Besides, we all have our secrets, Adrien, Marinette, me.

Lila still looks unconvinced.

Lila: Why exactly are you doing this?

Barry: Like I said, we all have our secrets, we all lie. And like I said when we first met, if you need someone to talk to, for whatever reason, you can trust me.
Now, I'm not saying I condone your lying habits.
But I won't force you to be honest, not like Adrien tried to do.

He extends his hand out, and Lila smiles.

Lila: Well, at least there's one person at this school I can trust.

She shakes his hand.

Barry holds the door for Lila as they walk out.

But like Adrien, Lila is left wondering what secrets Barry was talking about.

That afternoon, Adrien and Marinette  were outside of the school entrance. Waiting for Adrien's limo.

Marinette: Uh, so, uh, it looks like we're going to be working on the project together, huh?

Adrien: Looks like it, not sure father will be to happy about it, though.

Marinette: What makes you say that?

Adrien: He's been on edge, lately.
And I heard him yelling at Nathalie this morning, but I couldn't hear what they were talking about.

Marinette: That's horrible. Well, I would invite you to my house, but I don't want a repeat of the Game Tournament.
Sometimes my parents can be a little too nosy.

Adrien looks confused.

Marinette: Uh, n-not that there was
anything wrong with your last visit.
You were amazing. Uh, I-I mean, it, it was amazing! (Hehehehe!)

She smiles awkwardly.
Before Adrien can say anything else,
Alya and Nino walk up.

Alya: Well, well, I never thought I'd see the day, Marinette.
You working on a presentation, project, with Adrien.

Marinette: U-uh, Yeah, so great.

Adrien: Thanks, Alya.

Nino: Yeah, dudes. How lucky is this?
We're working together on a presentation together, and so are you guys.

Marinette: I know, but…

Alya: But what? This is what you want. Right, Marinette?

Marinette: Uh, well, yes. But, I'm more concerned with who Barry is working together with.

Alya: You mean Lila? Guys, Barry's probably the luckiest of all. He gets to work with someone who's got major connections.

Marinette: Great.

Marinette smiles while thinking to herself.

Marinette (TB): "Yeah, right. And I'm actually rich, while only pretending to be the daughter of bakers. What a crock!"

Alya: Well, we gotta go, have a good evening, you two.

Alya slyly winks.

Marinette turns red in the face.
