Marinette POV:

Marinette glanced at the screen of her phone sadly, "I just don't get why the universe hates me Alya". 

“Girl you and Adrien were meant to be together! I still don’t understand why your letting Kagami win!” 

"Kagami's my friend Alya, and they deserve to be happy" she sighed sadly "If they make each other happy, that's what matters.”

"Plus, I'd probably just would have screwed everything up anyway" she mumbled under her breath.

“Mari! She knew you had feelings for him and went after him anyway! What kind of friend does that! That's against every rule in GIRL CODE!" Alya screamed in her phone.

"Kagami's never had a real friend before…She probably doesn't even know what the girl code is…” 

"Thats bullcrap Mari and you know that! Your too selfless girl!  You need to show Kagami that you won’t be pushed around! Use Ladybug as an example, she kicks ass!" Alya said enthusiastically.

Marinette rolled her eyes and gave a small smile. "I just don't want to hurt Kagami’s feelings, plus Adrien doesn't even like me back, he obviously likes Kagami.” 

“You never even told him your true feelings girl! Don’t come down on yourself, your amazing Marientte and if he can’t see that than screw him and his perfume add!"

"Thanks Alya, your a really good friend" Marinette exclaimed. The puffy-eyed girl glanced at the clock, it was almost time for patrol!

"Oh err look at the time, I have to go" she paused to think of an excuse. "Umm my bakery is calling me to help with the parents.” 

"You mean your parents are calling you to help with the bakery?" Her best friend said, laughing and rolling her eyes at Mari’s silly excuse. 

"Yeah bye Alya" she said hurriedly as the screen turned off.

"Ugh I'm going to be late for patrol!” 

She stood up from her chair, stretching her sore limbs.

"Tikki, spots on!" she cried.

Transformed into Ladybug, she hopped onto her balcony, and then jumped into the dark night sky.

Chat Noir POV

“There you are m'lady, I’ve been waiting for you.” 

He jumped up from the ledge he was perched on, excited to finally see his lady.

 He grasped her hand, going to give her a soft kiss on the back of her hand, until Kagami’s face appeared in his mind and he hastily dropped her hand turning away. 

"What's wrong kitty" said ladybug concern and sadness in her voice.

"I could ask you the same thing buga - ladybug"

Ladybug looked at him, her bluebell eyes full of confusion at the sudden disappearance of the nickname she used to hate, but had grown to love.

"I have a girlfriend m'l - ladybug." He said, catching himself before he said the words. He needed to stop loving Ladybug, he had a girlfriend. 

He was sure Kagami wouldn't like him "flirting" with another girl. But it was hard to stop, he had loved her for so long, and part of his heart would always be hers. 

"Are you trying to make me jealous again" she teased, playfully shoving his shoulder.

"I'm being serious Ladybug. I have a girlfriend. I can't love you anymore. I don’t love you anymore. You got what you wanted, you can finally be happy without me getting in the way m’lady." He said, turning away.

"Y-you have a g-girlfriend" Ladybug said, her eyes filled with tears. She looked like she was going to say something but instead she turned away. 

"I have to go, bye Chat Noir." She said, before jumping away, leaving him to do patrol by himself.

"M'lady, wait!” He called, but she was gone, into the night.
