Ladan: I need a break.

Eric: I need one from you.

Ladan: I mean from writing at this point in the story.

Eric: Well what are you going to do about it? You love this story and it's going to get really good soon.

Ladan: I have an idea, I'll finally get to that backstory I've been dying to get to!

Eric: You mean the backstory you needed but didn't have in the begining but you made up as you went along?

Ladan: That's the one!

Eric: Lord, this is going to get confusing. And I'm not going to be in most of it. *grumbles*

Ladan: Don't worry, this won't have any of the characters in the story currently except me, a bit of you, and maybe Kaden.

Eric: Fine go ahead. I guess I can't stop you.

Ladan: I just gotta start where we left off last chapter, see you.

3rd Person POV

They appeared back at the dining pavilion to see most of the campers almost finished with their lunch. When Ladan stepped away, she ran to the head table where Chiron and Mr. D were sitting. On her way, she slowed down for a second to tap Will on his shoulder. When he turned her way, she pointed towards the others, specifically at Nico. She then kept running past people as she made her way to the table. No one really paid her any attention. They must've had better things to do.

When she got to where the directors of the camp were sitting, she slammed her hand on the table. If she hadn't had their attention, they did now.

"What is it Landon?" Mr. D asked. "Can't you see we're busy with lunch?"

"Yes Mr. D, I know how important lunch is. And by the way, my name's Ladan. After 5 years, you still don't understand that Landon is a boy's name" Ladan groaned.

"Potato patato" Mr. D said but Chiron shushed him.

"So, do you need anything Ladan?" The centaur asked. Ladan was relieved that she could finally say what she needed to.

"Yes, I was kinda wondering if Eric and I could personally train our 4 newest campers?" Ladan asked.

"What is the reason for this?" Chiron asked.

Luckily, Ladan was prepared for this question. "Well, you see... I plan to train them better than how I was. Eric and I never had the chance to learn the full extent right away and I want them to learn it faster." She answered. They didn't seem quite convinced and Ladan noticed it. "It would also be a great learning experience for all 6 of us. Eric and I would also get to learn new things as they do."

"It would be a good learning experience for all of you...I think it's a wonderful idea." Chiron smiled. He and Ladan looked towards Mr. D for a god's approval.

"I guess I'll allow it Lisa, If it gets you out of my hair faster." Mr. D said.

"Eh, close enough." Ladan shrugged. "Thank you" She left to go back to her friends. Almost everyone had left to their next activity. Ladan noticed Will and Nico had also left. She thought it was better that way so no one would ask questions about this.

"What did you want to tell Mr. D and Chiron?" Eric asked.

"While we were at McDonalds, I was thinking, I had a marvelous idea-" Ladan got interrupted by Nino.

"Who says 'Marvelous' anymore?" Nino asked.

"I do. Anyways, we agreed that it would be best for me and Eric to train you on our own. We'll teach you everything we know since we have quite a bit of experience as miraculous holders." Ladan said happily. She was very enthusiastic.

"We ? I never agreed to this" Eric complained.

"Yes baka, you agreed to my crazy ideas when you became my friend. Now where should our first class/training be held?" Ladan pondered.

"What type of lesson are we going to learn first teach?" Alya asked.

"Maybe a crash course" Ladan said. "In demigodish lingo"

"What's that?" Everyone seemed to ask.

"It'll teach you every common word, phrase, etcetera." Ladan said, waving her hand like she meant the technicalities didn't matter.

"Well, I would like to see the strawberry fields. It sounds very peaceful." Marinette said. They all agreed on this and went over. Ladan had gone into her room to grab some supplies and put them in her biggest bag. She also grabbed a few containers to hold some strawberries for later.

When she caught up with them, they cleared a circle of plants in a 10 foot radius so they didn't squash the strawberries. Ladan whispered in Eric's ear to follow her lead. Everyone sat down on the field as the lesson began.

"Let's start off with Holy Hera. It's meant to replace the phrase Holy shit. The reason behind it is that Hera's is quite frankly a bitch. So we say her name when something bad happens. Eric, will you demonstrate?" Ladan said, letting Eric take over.

"Holy Hera! A giant flying sea serpent is coming right for us!" Eric mocked being freaked out. "Now, saying Holy Hephaestus is different. He's cool so we say that if a good thing happens."

"Holy Hephaestus! I found a dollar on the ground." Ladan said. "Do you guys get it?"

"So, Hera's bad and Hephaestus is good?" Nino asked.

"Seems like it" Alya answered.

This lesson went on for almost an hour. Ladan and Eric taught them things like when to use Hades as an expression instead of hell. Saying Oh My Gods instead of Oh My God, and even 'Gods of Olympus' when they're especially annoyed.

"I think I'm going to us Gods of Olympus a lot around here" Mari said.

"Why Purrincess?" Adrien asked and he moved closer to her.

"Because of someone named mew" She gasped at her own pun.

"I love mew Purrincess" Adrien grinned as he scooted next to her and tackled her.

Adrien's POV

I was soo happy that my Purrincess made a pun, and a cat one at that. She rarely does, and never around this many people. I was soo overcome with joy that I tackled her.

"I love mew Purrincess" I grinned as we fell onto the strawberry plants. I fell next to her, our heads only inches apart. I started awkwardly laughing because of the embarrassing positon we were in. Mari decided to join me laughing. I leaned in closer to Mari when something came out of nowhere in front of our faces.

"Gah!" We both yelled and moved apart then sat up. I looked angrily at Ladan, whose hand was out. Hovering in front of her was a ball of water. Why do people always ruin good moments?

"No lovey-dovey stuff now, we need to teach you to survive in the real world." Eric said.

"We've survived this long, why do we need to train?" Alya asked.

"Glad you asked. Monsters can be worse than akumas. You haven't encountered them because the miraculous masks the scent. Knowing what you are makes it worse and your scent increases instantly." Ladan responds.

"Oh," Alya said, embarrassed for asking.

"Now, do you want to sit here and cuddle or do you want to train?" Eric asked. To be honest, I'd rather cuddle. But everyone else agreed to train. Finally, a chance to become stronger than my girlfriend.

"I think you can handle this. I'm going to sit by the big house and plan my attack for capture the flag tonight. I said I'd meet with Malcolm to discuss our plan during free time." Ladan said and walked to the wall of the Big House and grabbed some papers and pencil from her bag then sat down.

"You do that" Eric said. "I'm on your side like always."

"I know" Ladan groaned.

"Now, for battle time" Eric said, turning back to face us. Finally! "Summon your weapons as quickly as possible." We did as we were told and I got it on my second try. "Good, now taking turns, I want you to try to lay a single hit on me" Eric didn't have his weapon summoned so this'll be easy. He asked who was first and I stepped up.

I tightened my grip on my staff as I raised it to attack. I charged. Eric was on the other side of the training area we outlined. When I got within a foot, he summoned his weapon effortlessly. He cracked his whip and it hit my side. I fell to the ground.

"Rule one in battle, never go ahead on into battle with no clue who you are up against. Anyone else wanna try?" Eric said.

This time is Alya's turn. She uncertainly walked up and played her flute. She made clones of herself and even I couldn't tell which was her. But, in a quick flick of the whip, Eric made them all disappear and hit Alya in the arm.

"Rule two, know your own strengths as well as your opponent's. Next" Eric said as Nino stepped up. He looked angry that his girlfriend had gotten hurt.

With his razor sharp turtle shell, he threw it so it went behind Eric as Nino ran to use hand-to-hand combat. With all that anger, he got blocked by Eric every time. Eric ducked just as the shell came back and latched onto Nino's arm. He tried to fight but Eric hit his leg with his whip.

"Rule three, never let your anger consume you. Unless you're Percy, then you're practically invincible and none of the rules matter. Mari? your turn" Eric said as Mari stepped up, shaking in her flats. She breathed in and out and concentrated. She seemed to form a plan in her head.

She swung her yo-yo to the top of the big house and swung over Eric. She then tried to hit Eric as hard as possible with the yo-yo. Unfortunately, Eric stopped her weapon with his own and smacked her in the stomach.

"Rule four, never leave yourself unguarded in an attack. This one is hard to master because in the real world, we never bring armor." Eric said. He had defeated all 4 of us without taking a single step. All of us now had wounds, but it was not serious and take a week at most to heal. It hurt like hell but we didn't lose any blood. "Ladan! We need some ambrosia for them." Ladan looked up from her papers, which were now spread out all around her. She reached into the small pocket of her bag and her expression turned to one of confusion. We all walked over to her. She then growled for no reason.

"Kaden has my ambrosia" She said, surprising herself.

"You brought that bag?" Eric yelled.

"It's the only one that would fit my stuff" Ladan said as she gathered her stuff and started running. We all made a split second decision to go after her.

"So, what's so important about the bag?" I asked as we ran in the direction of what seemed to be the Pegasus stables.

"Kaden and I got matching ones from Athena and Poseidon for our 16th birthday. One of the few times they've worked together I might add" Ladan said.

"They are magically connected so you can put something in one and pull it out of the other." Eric finished. "It can fit stuff endlessly as long as it normally would fit in the bag."

Ladan's POV

When we got to the Pegasus stables, I threw open Blackjack's gate and got on his back.

What are you doing here mistress?

"No time, fly me to porkpie." I named his Pegasus friend who is quite fond of Kaden.

On it mistress

He got out of the stables and took off. I wanted to let my hair down and just fly over the crystal blue ocean, but there's no time for that. I leaned forward to tell blackjack to gain speed. I saw Kaden on Porkpie ahead of us. I pointed to them and Blackjack caught up. "Kaden! Porkpie!" I called. Porkpie turned around to face us.

"What?" Kaden asked.

"Stop taking stuff that is mine. I want my ambrosia back along with my strawberries." I said.

"Sorry, I was looking for a snack to give porkpie and he prefers berries. I must've forgot to put the ambrosia back." He said and grabbed my stuff which was on his lap and threw it one item at a time as I put them in my bag.

"Where's your bag?" I asked.

"Left it at the stables" He said.

"Ok, well I got to get back. Come on Blackjack, giddy up!" I said and blackjack turned his head to look at me.

I don't do anything with the word giddy in it, Crazy.

I could hear both Porkpie and Kaden chuckling in the background as we headed to the stables. When I got there, everyone was waiting patiently.

Mari's POV

Ladan landed on the ground with Blackjack and put him back in the stables.

"Here, take a bite to heal your wounds" She said and handed us all a small piece. We all took bites in turn.

"Wow, it tastes exactly like your croissants Mari" Adrien said.

"Really? Let me try" Alya exclaimed and she took the small bit of food whole. "It tastes more like Celestial/Marinette soup. My mom's made it soo many times. I'd know it anywhere."

"That's ambrosia for you. Tastes like your comfort food." Eric said. "Sadly, mine is a simple yet disgusting turkey sandwich." I then took a bite and Nino followed.

"Yum, mine tastes like a macaroon from your bakery" Nino said. "What doe yours taste like?"

"Umm... those cookies Adrien tried to make me for my birthday that ended up burned." I said and Adrien sheepishly turned away. Honestly, his cooking is pretty terrible, Even Tikki didn't want those cookies. But it was comforting knowing how much love he put into making it. It was even in the shape of a heart. "What does it taste like to you Ladan?"

"It tastes like ghormeh sabzi. It's this delicious Persian dish my mom makes that's been passed down in my family for generations. I'm going to learn next time I visit her." Ladan said and she looked sad. I decided not to pry.

"Good idea, then you can make it for me all the time!" Eric said.

"Eric loves the dish. If not for turkey sandwiches, it would be his comfort food." Ladan said.

"So are we going to go back to training?" I asked.

"No, you'll probably get hurt again and we can't risk killing you with too much of it." Ladan said happily. What she said wasn't happy though. Maybe i should stay away from this unless i need it.

"So what do you propose we do? We have half an hour until free time." I said.

"While i was planning the strategy we'll use for capture the flag, i was thinking of what you need to learn." Ladan said. "One thing we have time for is a history lesson" All of us groaned but the boys were louder.

"Where are we going to be? The strawberry fields probably isn't the best place for a history lesson." Alya asked.

"I guess you're right. Lets go to my cabin because it has the most sitting areas and no people." Ladan said and we left for cabin 6. Turns out, it was indeed empty.

"So, there were a good amount of demigod heroes that also held miraculous. One of the most famous was Mulan, a child of Ares, she had the dragon miraculous." Eric said.

"Yes, another was Joan of Arc, another ladybug and child of Athena. If the demigods were serious about battling one person or group, you could guess they have a miraculous" Ladan said. "Now that the old history is over, we'll tell you about our history."

"We also were in a team like you but we had 4 people" Eric said and I noticed a wave of sadness on his face and tears starting to form.

"Where are the other 2 now?" Nino asked.

"Good question," Ladan sighed. "We don't exactly know. There was the sparrow and peacock. The peacock never revealed herself and one day, she mysteriously disappeared. Trevor, the sparrow holder disappeared into the woods saying he wanted to be with his own kind and we haven't seen him since. Although, We sometimes get hit with acorns and stuff so i think he's sending friends to check on us." Eric chuckled at that last part.

"Ladan can't even find which country he's in, even with her powers. For all we know, he could be anywhere from Texas to India or somewhere." Eric shrugged.

"While we are on the topic of magic powers, how does it work? What happened to cause it?" I asked. Finally we got to a time where she could answer the burning question that was in the back of my mind.

"Well, I do owe you an explanation. But we have to go all the way back to the summer I was 11, about half a year after Eric and I revealed our identities." Ladan said, she seemed to be looking back on those times.

"Why so far back?" Adrien asked.

"That's when i got my powers" Ladan said. "Now don't interrupt me."

Ladan's POV

I started to tell the sad story of how one of my closest friends died. I hoped I could muster up the courage to say the entire thing in one sitting.

-Flashback-

School had just ended for the summer and Eric and I were on our way home. We lived on the same street, 3 houses down from each other. Eric was saying what activities we had to do this summer and I was nervous. I had already planned my summer activities but i hadn't told Eric just yet. I was fiddling with my favorite purple pen, thinking of how i was going to tell him when he stopped. He looked at me expectantly for a few minutes in awkward silence.

"Ok, I'll bite. What?" I asked and he sighed.

"I said that we should go to Six Flags in 2 days, what do you think?" He asked. "After we catch up on sleep tomorrow of course." Oh no. Just what I was hoping my bestie wouldn't ask.

"No" I said. He asked why and I muttered, "I'm leaving that day." He told me to speak up and I repeated it so he could hear me better.

"Why are you leaving?" He asked.

"I wanted to go to this summer camp and I leave Sunday" I said.

"I want to come, you should've signed both of us up."

"It's an all girls sleep away camp. My mom and I both agreed it would be good if I hung out with normal girls my age for once."

"What if Hawkmoth attacks?"

"You have our new recruits, the sparrow and peacock to help. Just keep the akumas in a jar or something for when I get back." I said and noticed he seemed sad. "Can you help me pack? And hey, you know Iwon't be gone long. It's just 2 months." He nodded and we headed to my house. When we walked in, Kaden was battling our little brother Aidan in a game of minecraft. (And yes, our names are Ladan, Kaden, and Aidan but don't make fun of us) He was home before us because he leaves campus earlier to pick up Aidan. "Hey bro, we'll be in my room packing if mom asks." He nodded and we went into my room.

"What do you need?" Eric asked as he sat on my bed.

"Which bathing suit should I bring? The one with the dolphins." I said and held up the one piece. I then held a two piece. "Or the one with the Fairy tail mark on it?"

"I would normally say the Fairy tail one-"

"Naturally" I broke in. We have recently gotten obsessed with Fairy Tail and it was our favorite fandom at the moment.

"But you'll be going away for a while. Bring all of them" He said. Good idea. I brought out all my nice bathing suits and put them in one of my suitcases.

"Next, tops. I need quite a few if i'm gone for 2 months." I said. Eric then helped me find enough outfits for a month. I assumed I'd have a chance to wash my clothes sometime.

"...so what now?" Eric asked.

"Game with my brothers?" he gave me a knowing look and we went to play with them. We ended up playing games with them all night long, although Aidan had to go to bed since he was 7 years old. The next morning, we slept in and did nothing.

It was Sunday morning, I was just about to leave for camp when Eric came over. I could see the tears starting to stream down his face as he gave me a good bye hug.

"Since when do you feel emotions?" I asked and he smiled.

"I just wanted to say bye"

"Don't worry, I'll text you every day and keep you updated." I said. Even if I had to sneak my phone in, I would.

"Ladan! You're going to be late" My mom yelled from the car. I said one last bye to Eric and got in the car. Even from inside, i could see his grim expression. He really must not have wanted me to leave. It was the first time we were apart for more than a day since we met so i should've expected it. I grabbed my phone and sent him a quick text.

In text

L: Don't worry, it's only 2 months. And you can hand with Delilah if you want ;)

E: Lol, as if!

End of text

Hanging with Delilah was a joke. She is a neighbor of ours, she lived right in the middle between our houses so we couldn't avoid her. She is really annoying. We never want to even see her house so hanging with her is like death.

I turned off my phone and decided to take a nap. When I woke up, we were at the camp site. My mom left and the people working there had helped me get settled into my cabin. There were 2 bunk beds in my room so it could fit 3 other people. They weren't here yet so I claimed the top bunk for myself and went to explore. I found myself at the lake and I put my feet in. For some reason, I wasn't getting wet. I didn't know what condition I had but, I didn't always get wet. I never told anyone because the would probably think I'm weird and I'd have to get tested on or something equally frightening.

I just know it didn't have anything to do with my grandma. You see, my mom's a child of Athena/Minerva/whatever! She had told me this when I was 5. I didn't know what that made me and I could never ask since we never talk about it.

Eventually, I decided to go back to my cabin and saw other girls in there talking. I assumed they were my bunk mates.

"Hi, my name's ladan" I said to the other girls. There was one girl with straight, black hair wearing flannel and jeans and she looked super normal. The next had a blonde bob and an olive crop top and jeans. The third probably looked the least normal of the 3 and she had cotton candy pink hair that reached her ankles. She was wearing a dress that suspiciously like an anime character's style so I instantly liked her.

"Hi, I'm Jordan" Said the blonde girl.

"I'm Sarah" said the black haired one.

"My name is Hannah" Said the last one. We all got to know each other that night and for the next week. Turns out Hannah was from another country, Jordan loves sports and is a year older than us, and Sarah was super shy. Apparently, Jordan and Sarah were already friends from school so they left me and Hannah alone. Hannah became really close to me and we shared a bunk.

One morning, Sarah and Jordan had went to breakfast and I was waiting on Hannah. She was taking a shower so I decided to talk to Aquaa.

"Isn't this relaxing? No immature boys, nice fresh air, and no akumas" I sighed and flopped on Hannah's bed, knowing she wouldn't mind.

"You shouldn't jinx that you know" Aquaa warned.

"What? the boys? There are no boys around for miles." I said.

"No, I meant-" As Aquaa was talking, I heard a scream. "About the akumas..."

"Hannah, I'm going out" I called then ran out to the lake. It was the only place with no people around. I transformed and went of to the breakfast area. I didn't expect hawkmoth to find me, did he have a miraculous tracking device or something?

Well, if he wanted my miraculous, he was going to get it.

When I got there, I heard the sound of a whip. Eric's here? No, he can't be...Can he? I don't think he knew where the camp was so, no. But what could make those whipping sounds if it wasn't him? I launched myself into the air with a water geyser and saw blue and yellow lights. Definitely not Eric. So who could it be?

"Umm, hello?" I asked as I landed next to the person who was fighting the akuma. It was a girl. Not what I expected.

"Who are you? Did my parents send for you to watch me? Tell them i'm perfectly fine finding it on my own!" She yelled as she stopped fighting to look at me. It was Hannah? Why was she fighting on the roof? I was about to say I knew her but I don't know if I should reveal my identity.

"How about we talk later, we need to defeat this akuma first." I said.

"Is Akuma the name of the dark guild she's from? And where are the rest of the guild?" Hannah asked. I ignored her and fought. She took it as a signal to fight as well. The akuma was quite weak, I didn't have to use my special power. This gave me time to talk to her.

"Lets go talk by the lake" I said and sent a geyser under us and sent us to the lake. we sat on the edge and I put my feet in.

"Soo...you're a water mage?" Hannah asked.

"A what? No, Hannah. It's me" I said and detransformed.

"So you aren't Nova checking up on me for my parents?" She asked.

"I don't even know who your parents are." I said.

"I thought you would. I mean, you did wear that bathing suit with my guild mark on it yesterday." She said. I did?

"Wait wait wait...I wore my Fairy Tail swim suit yesterday. Does that mean Fairy Tail is real?" I asked. She nodded slightly. "So who exactly are you?"

"My name is Hannah Rocko, my dad's of Warren Rocko" She said.

"Wait, so you are from Fiore and a child of Warren?" She nodded. "Good, I thought everyone here was normal but me." She giggled.

"Yeah, I thought it would be the same." She smiled.

"So why did you ask me if I was sent by your parents?" I asked.

"My parents don't approve of me going on this job alone. I'm supposed to find this plant somewhere in the woods. It's super rare and only found here so I came here undercover looking for it. It's to help cure this disease that people are getting." She said.

"What magic do you have?" I asked. I had soo many questions to ask.

"I have my father's telepathy magic. And how do you know soo much about Fiore?" She asked.

"Well, Fairy tail is this awesome anime and manga about your guild. By the way, can I see your guild mark?" I said and she showed her mark. It was pink to match her hair and on her inner forearm. I was just amazed that this was really happening.

"So, how do you possess water magic?" She asked.

"She's the dolphin miraculous wielder. Water comes with her powers." Aquaa said, coming out of nowhere.

"What's she? A miniature Exceed? No, a fairy?" Hannah said.

"I'm Aquaa, a kwami and keeper of the dolphin miraculous. You're not freaking out?" Aquaa said.

"Why would I? I've seen worse" Hannah shrugged.

"Ladan, can I have some fish?" Aquaa asked.

"Sure, give me a sec, I see some down there." I said.

I then jumped into the water to the deepest part and swam down. I looked for some fish and a small one swam up to me. It seemed to want me to take it for food. I took it and swam back up. I got up on the sand and gave the fish to Aquaa.

"You're not wet?" Hannah asked.

"I've been wondering about that as well. I've never told anyone about this for reasons." I said nervously and scratched the back of my neck.

"I get it. The less people know, the better" She said.

"So how long are you here for?" I asked. I loved this girl and had to find out everything about her. I couldn't help it honestly.

"Until I find the flower I need. It's somewhere in the woods." She said.

"Maybe I can help. What is it's name?" I asked, taking my phone out of my pocket. I saw 23 texts from Eric that I'm going to check later.

"It's called the Guaiacum sanctum flower." She said as I tried to spell it out. Luckily, auto correct was on my side for once and I pulled up info on it.

"It says here that they are native to the Caribbean, Central America and Florida with few remaining populations. Why are you here then? Shouldn't you visit those places?" I said.

"Well, that hasn't been updated for a while. Rumor has it that they all have gone extinct except someone says they found it here so that's why I'm here." She said then looked oddly at my phone.

"What's that?" She asked.

"Oh, right. Fiore has magic not technology evolutions. It's called a phone, kinda hard to explain if you aren't up to date with our tech" She still looked at me in wonder. "Never mind. Lets go to breakfast and maybe we can go find the flower after."

"Yeah good idea." She said and we left.

As time passed, it became the last week of camp before we went home and we haven't found the flower yet. It was morning and everyone else had gone to breakfast but I just woke up.

"Hey Hannah, wake up. Let's go and keep looking for the flower." I suggested and got off my bed. I was getting ready with no response. "Wake up. I'm hungry."

I gave her time to sleep as I got ready. When I was done, she still hadn't woken up. I sat at the edge of her bunk and shook her awake.

"L-ladan" she said in a hoarse whisper.

"Hannah? What's wrong?" I asked.

"There's something I haven't told you." She said. "The reason I really needed to find the flower was because I came in contact with the disease. It was very contagious and killed my mother  so I wanted to find it myself. I didn't go with anyone so they wouldn't freak out. We just didn't find the flower in time. Would you just do me one last favor?" Tears started to form in my eyes.

"Anything, I'll do it if it makes you happy." I said.

"Then take my powers." She said.

"Why?"

"Because my father is the only other with telepathy magic left. The disease is only affecting our type of magic. I need to pass it on before the magic becomes extinct." She said as I connected the dots.

"So how will you do it?"

"Just give me your hand" I did as told as she positioned my right hand on her heart. She closed her eyes and I could physically feel the power flow through me and her life force fading.

"What effect could this have on a normal person like me?" I asked during the process.

"I don't know." Hannah said in a whisper as I felt her life force and heart beat vanish entirely.

I knew she was dead and wasn't coming back. I slowly lifted her out of bed carefully and draped her in her blankets. I walked her to the edge of the lake where we first became best friends and set her down. I went back into our room to gather her things. I came back to the lake and pushed her things into the water as a farewell. The fish seemed to understand and pulled her things to the bottom. I went into the water and dug a deep hole. I got Hannah and buried her in the lake. When I got back to dry land, I sat, staring into the depths of the lake with Aquaa next to me. I grabbed the flowers around the water and filled the lake with them as a memorial service. I sat back down in my spot and let the tears fall. I cried alongside Aquaa for most of the day. At that moment, I decided I couldn't use the magic she gave me, not just yet. I had to know what effects it had on me first. When I went back to my cabin that night, Jordan and Sarah asked where I was. I told them that Hannah had to leave early and I sent her off. They seemed to believe me. I think it had something to do with the mist my mother described to me once. The next day, I called my mom to pick me up a few days early because I couldn't stand seeing her burial site anymore. I kept my swimsuit and the photos I took of us so I would never forget this time. When I got home, I tried to  remain happy around people but I couldn't. That was until I finally told Eric what happened. It felt better when I could talk about the situation with someone other than my kwami. I still didn't test out my powers until almost a year later, on her birthday.

-End of Flashback-

"So that's the entire story. I only realized later that it takes double the energy to use my magic than it would a normal mage. Also, being a demigod and not a mage affected the magic as in went into my blood system so it changed the magic's genetic code and make up." I said, wiping the tears from my eyes as I finished the story.

"I'm sorry Ladan, we didn't know" Marinette said calmly.

"It's okay. It's in the past and although I'm sad, I'm not depressed about it. I feel like every time I use my magic, I'm still with her. And whenever I feel sad, I look through the book I put all my memorabilia in." I smiled slightly. "I was so small back then"

"Don't forget to tell them about the Iris message problem." Eric said.

"Oh, yes. I also can't be within 20 feet of an Iris message or they will instantly cut out." I said.

"What time is it?" Aquaa asked and Alya took out her phone.

"Because isn't Malcom supposed to be here to discuss battle plans?" Llea said.

"Shoot! You're right. Everyone should leave but first I need your side for capture the flag. Mari, Hermes or Apollo?" I asked.

"Hermes I guess." She said. "Why?"

"Ok, you're on Alya's team for capture the flag." I said. "Now please go as I see Malcolm coming into the cabin through the window."
